my 3rd track - "What Banking is All About" (taste warning: dubstep)

Iconoclast

Jedi Master
i hesitate to post this here, since i seriously doubt many members here listen to dubstep .

but i posted my two previous efforts here as well, to much appreciated feedback - and well, dubstep is where my musical 'development' has taken me (for the moment).
(also: if you want to reach the younger generation, it better be loud and not boring ;D)

here is the cover:

and the music:

(free download, of course)

btw, without speakers that can reproduce very low frequencies, there is probably a third missing from the tune... :P

as always, *any* feedback is quite appreciated!

thanks for your time.

So that's dubstep! It's not to my taste, but I think you did a great job there, Iconoclast! There's alot of work in even a four minute song. And I agree with you that if you want to reach the younger generation you have to 'speak their language' so to say. What software do you use for recording? Are all the sounds your own (apart from the vocal samples)?

[raises hand] ...and breakbeat! You done messed around and made me push the like button! I missed your creations first time around, so thanks for not hesitating to share this!

Well I liked that very much Iconoclast. Would you mind if I give it a play on a Radio Liverpool broadcast/podcast I am sending out this coming monday?

well as far as dubstep goes, this is pretty tame. i wouldn't say it's 'typical' dubstep. there are much more aggressive and glitchy/noisy offerings out there. ;)

after trying out several DAWs (Digital Audio Workstation), i ended up using Reaper from Cocos. great software, well coded, really affordable price!
the sounds are either synth presets that i further changed and manipulated or sounds i made from scratch.

I wondered if you were using Reaper! I've been using it myself for a few months now, after trying two or three others. It seems to be an excellent DAW, not to mention very affordable compared to most of the others out there.

Synths are pretty complex things! I've been getting some really interesting results by automating the parameter settings.

Groovy stuff, Icono.:cool2: Nice to hear good dubstep, seems to be going out of style these days, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for sharing! I like it. It is much more atmospheric and light than some of the really dirty "brostep" out there, that can cleave a brain into two extra hemispheres  it's totally listen-able.

Yes "Like"d it too, Iconoclast, although don't have a FB button to push, however, will send a link out - good job! :cool2:

Nice song, thanks for sharing! Most mainstream dubstep gives me a headache. I prefer drum and bass / jungle as an electronic genre.

That is awesome Icon! Thanks for sharing it. I find most dubstep to be to extreme, but I really like the pace in your version.

Added it to my playlist :cool2:

Thanks for sharing, I especially liked the groove from 1:53 to 2:40. I listened to your other two tracks as well. What a creative way of putting it out there. Cover art for the tracks is eye catching, and descriptive. I say well done. Looks and sounds like "Doing" to me.
