My furry friend is gone

My condolences Iron. My own dog is 15 years old and does not have much time left. They are good friends to have and hopefully we'll meet them again somehow.

My condolences as well, Iron. :hug2: It's always hard to lose our closest friends. I bawl every time, but am thankful for every moment I spent with them. I'm sure your dog is thankful for all the times you spent together, too.

Also, beautiful poem, Z. Thanks for sharing.

15 years ago my dog died, he had seven years, the German Shepherd.
The first few months daughter and I cried at the mere mention of his name, coming home to us was painful because it was more playful barking, wagging his tail ...
Even today we think of him, we visits his grave and wistfully remember the first steps of my daughter that she could walk with him.
I'm sorry, I know you are experiencing. :(

I'm sorry for your loss, Iron.

I was not there to try to assist in her passing. I feel like I failed her.

I know it's hard Iron, however, you did not fail her, you helped to give her a warm and loving life, try to remember that and enjoy the memories you have of her. :hug2:

Big Hugs to Sebastian, too. :hug2:

My condolences Iron. I too have had dogs and cats, and when they go, it's always very painful. I'm sure you gave her a good life and you'll have to try to remember the beautiful moments you spent together. I'm positive that their spirits stay with us after their departure. Wish you well.

Very sorry to hear this Iron, I'm sure she knows how much you love her and that you cared for her the best way you could. May she rest in peace. :hug2:

So sorry to hear about your furry companion, Iron. :( I know how hard it must be for you. It sounds like she was a very loyal companion. Hold her always in your heart. :hug2:

My sincere condolences. Our dogs are our bests friends, they are so amazing, so true, so present. I am very sorry. Take care of you dear friend. :hug2:

I'm so sorry for your loss Iron. You gave her the gift of a wonderful life and returned your gift with her gift of unconditional love. May her spirit journey in peace and freedom.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Iron. Hang in there and cherish the precious memories you shared with her. :hug2:

I'm also sorry to hear about your loss Iron. I can only add that having experienced the same a few years ago with my labrador - I occasionally will dream about him to this day, and the connection still seems to be there even if physically he is not. Sometimes he'll take the form of other animals and even people - I'm sure you'll unite again in the future.

So sorry for your loss Iron, I'm sure she knows she was dearly loved. You will miss that wonderful unconditional love our animals give to us, but you will have treasured memories in your heart. :hug2:

So sorry for the loss of a most constant companion, Iron. I'm sure that you gave her lots of love and attention and she knew this. May she rest in peace.

I too am sorry for your loss, Iron. If you both gave much to each other, then it was a good and worthwhile relationship. These times are never easy, but talking (or typing) definitely helps and certainly don't withold any emotions, just let them out.

My own dark times, the darkest of my life, were made so much better by a very special friend. In fact, I may not be here if it wasn't for her. Her picture is there for me to see every day. It sounds like your dog was very special to you too and I'm sure you will never forget her :).

Very sad for your loss. You will never forget your furry friend and the relationship you shared together. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
