This last is true on the individual scale also. If you are aware of the histories of many individuals, you can extract principles and apply them to yourself and your own life and relationships. You can make predictions and, if you don't like what is obviously coming based on those dynamics, you can possibly change things.

As the Cs once said: "those who have the will of a lion do not suffer the fate of a mouse" and "those who live by the sword don't sleep on the couch"!!!

History ROCKS!

Funny how it works, that civilizations and societies rise and fall, everything changes, and yet life on planet Earth, in its miriad forms, has an underlying similarity and follows a subtle line of the same simple concepts of interaction, experiences, emotional attachment, etc. Perhaps, these are the simple karmic understandings C's were talking about. Maybe that's why Gurdgieff emphasized the importance of learning first how to be a good obyvatel'. Esoteric depth may broaden and illuminate the mind, but only the essence of simple life and its human interactions and hardships can penetrate and open the heart.

Wonder if 4D libraries carry a book called All I really need to know I learned in Cosmic kindergarten. :D

Well said! :cool2:

Well, alrighty then, I have just finished (well, almost. I still have to read the afterward) Secret History. I'm still working on understanding and processing it all. :O

As for trying to read two or three books at a time, it just doesn't work for me. I spend too much time trying to remember which is which. :P

A lot of info there, hope I can process and understand it all. :halo:

I have finished reading "The Secret History of the World", very informative, a lot of good information there.

I have also finished reading "Lights Out" that one was very good also. There were two times in my life that I felt like I got really good sleep. One time was when we lived at the "Farm". We had a TV (I think) although I didn't watch it much. My Mother and Sister lived in a trailer behind the old house and I stayed in the old house. There was electricity in the house, but just barely. There were no street lights and no traffic going by. When you turned out the lights and went to bed nothing bothered you. The other time was when I was stationed at NAS Whiting Field in Milton Fl., the house I was renting there had a bedroom that was totally black, the walls, ceiling, curtains, everything. When you turned off the lights in that room it was dark. I loved it.

I try to get rid of the lights here at night, but it's a losing battle. My wife is scared of the dark, so I just do what I can.

Now I'm reading "Political Ponerology", it looks like it should be very interesting as well.

I've been working on my breathing and also saying the P.O.T.S. regularly.

I participated (although very quietly) in the "Super Moon" event. I had my crystal in the water where it got some sun through the day. I did the visualization and feel like it helped. There was a lot of communicating on the "Paleo" page about a happy event. I had to move my crystal fro the sun and water as I was finding myself wanting to visualize happy things for me and didn't want to cause myself problems.

Well that's about it for now.

Hi Tom32071,

I just finished Secret History as well. Wow, it really puts all the things I have learned on my journey into perspective. Having read many books on the Grail, especially Joseph Campbell's work, the information Laura provided has changed my whole outlook on the true journey of the Grail/soul.

The work of alchemy kind of made me chuckle a bit. I thought of all those people throughout history, in some make shift lab, trying to turn a piece of lead into gold. Or searching for the philosophers stone in ruins around the world. It truly is a crime how history/PTB lead so many astray.

It all makes so much sense that these legends are for the souls progression and to warn of us of the many hidden dangers that life includes. From Joseph Campbell's work, I learned the Power of Myth, I just did not see the full picture until reading SHOTW.

As for the good/evil thing, having learned from experience, their are people who teach us how to be and there are those that teach us how not to be. The choice is always ours, what we get from them. So for me it is not so much what happens to us, but how we deal with them. Of course within the moment it is truly hard to see that there may be something good coming from a terrible situation or "evil" deed. And our emotions are so wrought with pain that it may be hard to see any light coming through such darkness. And as Laura has so eloquently stated, it may be hard to see that when we think we are doing something "good" that it may not be the best thing for our soul's journey. So hard to tell within the moment. With the correct tools being offered from Laura and the folks here, an incredible aid has been provided by the Universe in assisting us to see and hear clearly.

Just started reading Gnosis and working on coagulating ISOTM and Laura's work into all this. Whew.

This may have been suggested already but what really helps me when I read these resources is I take notes. I find myself not only staying more focused but also actively looking for little nuggets of wisdom and truth.
Sounds like the material has "clicked" for you though which is awesome! Keep it up! :D

Yeah you're right, Stones, taking notes does help. I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks. :)

Yeah, there is a lot to learn and it can sometimes be difficult trying to figure what is real and what is just disinformation. At least with Laura you can feel somewhat assured that you're getting good info. :D
