My wife and I left our home in Southern Cal. on the 9th of August and headed out in our RV and the trip sure has been fun.

One plus along the way was that we found out that the book won an international award! Readers Favorite gave it a bronze medal in politics and history and we were invited to their annual awards ceremony in Miami, Nov. this year. Also got invited to the international book fair, also in Miami. This is big news for an old G.I. and school teacher! Hey, I can now say that the book is an international award winner, way cool.

The people I talked with along the way mostly know something is really wrong. They know there is “trouble in paradise,” but when you start talking about what that “looks, smells, and tastes like” they “crawfish” on you. You know how a crawfish uses its tail to back up while it is looking at you? Well that is what they do. I usually issue a challenge at that point, especially with men, that the book is only for those who have the courage to face reality…the faint of heart need not apply…. It works, somewhat anyway.

We know this as cognitive dissonance, and although I am very familiar with it I still am sometimes flabbergasted by it. I ran into a guy a few days ago who has cancer, diabetes, and a list of other problems and diseases linked to Agent Orange, buy when I started talking about the politicians that made that happen he defended every one of them! Blows me away!
America is not ready for transformational change yet. Almost, but not quite. Never mind that any transformational leader who comes along gets bumped off, so we are left with the likes of Barak Obama and the rest. We keep looking for someone to save us and it ain’t gonna happen! I guess it will come to the point that we just cannot go on this way and still survive, and this reality is right in our faces. To me, we are already there.

Again I say that although we might not get to where we need to be soon enough to avert a lot of pain and destruction, it is very important that we continue on. When the day of reckoning comes, America and the world is going to need a choice and that choice needs to be an alternative to divisiveness and killing each other. I strongly believe that our work now will play a pivotal role in the future.

Later about the old growth forest and such.

This is quite telling. It seems that these people when faced with information that contradicts their
worldview, rather than having to deal with positive disintegration, they end up fighting for their belief
systems even more. I think it was in Ponerology that Lobaczewski wrote something similar.

Laura's latest article goes into much detail of why that is so.

Congratulations for your award!

We are surrounded with people with cognitive dissonance. They watch too much tv. And when confronted with new information they are unable to discuss, think, try new ideas, risk something new. And they contradict themselves so strongly that sometimes they make me almost laugh. But it is tragic. So the only work we can do is give information and continue to work and study by ourselves and for ourselves. Continue to work with people that have common sense.

People want a change but they do nothing to change anything, first themselves. It is too hard for them to read, look for alternatives, investigate. So this is why this planet is in this terrible situation.

Very happy you are come back and that you had a very nice trip.

Re: New book: American Heart of Darkness: Book Tour

Thanks loreta and Anthony, for your comments. Hey, I read Laura's article and it is really, really good! Yes, it is getting to where there is absolutely no place to go. Although Canadians still seem to think that they have charted their own course, they are a big part, and have been for a long time, of the Anglo-American empire. And now even France is on board! WOW! France used to at least pretend that they were "independent." I am remembering something about the French from my air force days. Do you recall during the first gulf war the video over Baghdad when Iraqi anti-aircraft fire lit up the whole sky? The French had designed and installed the entire system and had put a virus in it. Although they acted aloof to the whole Desert Storm fiasco and jumped aboard at the last minute (France always did this) they activated the virus on the first night of the air attack and took down the entire Iraqi air defense system. The Iraqis were blindly shooting into the air, and then we (the air force) talked about how good the stealth fighter was! What a farce. France plays, or used to play, the naughty child of the empire to the hilt. Now I guess even that mask is off.

Congratulations Robert, on your award. :)

It was nice to hear you were able to spend some time amongst the giant conifers of the west coast and see some of that unique geography and ecosystems.

Your woes with talking to people and their backing away seem to be well in line with many points put forth by Altemeyer, in his study of the Authoritarians and their quirky behaviors, or within the article you cited by Laura, Schmookler's Moral Endo-skeletons and Exo-skeletons: A Perspective on America's Cultural Divide and Current Crisis. It's fascinating and scary to observe and also to understand that even ones own-self has/is subjected to unawareness at times, which requires constant observation and remembering. The more one sees it in self, and than in others, the more it becomes apparent. It is the former that is more tricky, which is why a network is important in helping to fine tune observations, osit.

Indeed it is so. The view from inside, although the landscapes are the same, it is getting very hard to recognize sanity in governance - really, there is none. In Harperland, we have become more the two-bit authoritarian empire followers than ever before, not that we were not, its just more overt. In a way, people here have no idea of what they have ultimately aligned themselves with - the propaganda is a constant.

Welcome back!

Re: New book: American Heart of Darkness: Book tour

Not back yet. In the Muir forest for a few days. Yes, thanks for the comments Voyaguer. The cognitive dissonance thing is very familiar to me and oh yes, I am not immune. I am just constantly amazed by it. I had a park ranger tell me that all of the clear-cutting that has gone on was inevitable if the U.S. was going to make "progress." I asked him what he meant by progress and he looked at me like I had stolen something from him. He mentioned something about all of the construction, houses, etc., and I asked him how long all of those houses were going to last compared to the forests that were destroyed to make them. He said it was the only way.... I asked him if he had ever heard of Richard Buckminster Fuller and he said that he had not. I mentioned that Fuller had figured out how to make homes using a fraction of the wood and costing very little, about as much as your average car. He looked at me with a look I can only describe as consternation and said that was interesting....

I have found a sharp disconnect of Americans to their environment. We Americans are used to wreaking our environment and then moving on, but this time there is no place left to go. It has become clear to the scientific community that we are seeing the disastrous effects of global climate change and that we are also in the middle of a mass extinction. At the end of this century there will be roughly half of the plants and animals still here. The rest will be extinct. What that will look like boggles the mind. It will not be pretty, that's for sure. An earth like that might be able to support a few billion people at most, and maybe not even that. There is going to be a lot of blood on the floor that is for sure.

I figure that the U.S. is going to be like a starving tiger, loosing muscle mass but still having formidable fangs and claws. Maybe this is already the case.

It sounds like you may have dipped into BC, Canada on your trip - the story now is one of total resource dominance here, with an endless list of domineering policies, with many corp-miners lined up who will carry them out. The provincial government here, like the federal government, is spoken for, and it is not by or for the people.

Very nice place; wonderful trees.

It really is amazing once you notice the self and especially by asking questions of others and receiving responses.

It seems America is not alone of course, just pick a country. Take BC where I started this above, having been around forest resources, clear cutting is back to being the prescription of the day. Tree Farm License # 1 (TFL-1) was the first of many and extremely large in area size and volume (m3). From what can be recalled, it was a gift to draw people out west, it was gifted, I think, to the German Hoechst company of IG Farben fame, indirectly via a Boston banking concern. When this happened, it was essentially a two billion dollar gift (then) and the land was stripped with the products or raw logs shipped. During the early 1990's, there was another shift, with a big focus on ecosystem and shelterwood or modified shelterwood harvesting (light footprint). That did not last as the government thereafter shifted back to the big corporations, driving out all the family mills while taking most of the crown lands over with scant oversight and many blessings. There is a little book called 'Three Men and a Forester' by Ian Mahood and Ken Drushka which speaks to many of these issues - worth a read.

It has become clear to the scientific community that we are seeing the disastrous effects of global climate change and that we are also in the middle of a mass extinction. At the end of this century there will be roughly half of the plants and animals still here. The rest will be extinct. What that will look like boggles the mind. We are indeed ugly polluter of most of our terra firma's and oceans, and things don't look good. The trend to cooling may impact a great deal or an near or extinction possibility may arrive from above - don't know.

I figure that the U.S. is going to be like a starving tiger, loosing muscle mass but still having formidable fangs and claws. Maybe this is already the case.

The ripples will be intense to be sure.

Fwiw Robert, there was one little thing noticed in the transcripts (February 2002) concerning our environment, with or without people - your post reminded me of it for some reason:

A: When the universe is ready to revive dead coral, you can bet it will revive.

The trees with their seeds in places like Muir forests where you have just been, well if they disappear through our ignorance's, they may reappear and revive one day to people who appreciate them.

Yes Voyageur, something will be back but it is likely to be at least a thousand years from now. You reminded me of the native Australians who believe that all life comes from the dreamland. And when a specie goes extinct in our way of thinking, they believe that it just goes back to the dreamland. Interesting take on the whole affair! I will check out the link you sent when I have more time. Thanks again. Some of this is going to be in book #2 or 3, depending. There still is a lot we can do but time is running out...

Re: New book: American Heart of Darkness: CoZ Connections

While gone I had the opportunity to read more of Reed's CoZ. I must say that it is loooog, meanders, weaves an intricate web, and is a bit opaque at times. It is not an easy read, but the content is certainly interesting. I found connections to a critical path of the "seeds of destruction" in the foundation of the first little colony in Jamestown that have grown to fruition today. Reed traced the same destructiveness, at Jamestown, I talked about in my book to back over 400 years B.C.E. to the very beginnings of Zionism. The destructiveness of Calvinism, which has manifested itself today as Capitalism, is too similar to Zionism for this to have been a coincidence. Who would have thought that the Anglo-American Empire would have mated with destructive Zionist offspring to produce the "state" of Israel that is the personification of racism, genocide, and militarism.

I am also reminded that the Ferguson police were trained by Israelis. Another critical path of our tax money being used for destruction. Let's seen now, our tax money goes to Israel to fund racism and genocide which is returned to us in the form of "training" to be used against our own citizens. Hmmmm. I think it was Malcolm X who used the term "Chickens come home to roost..." and Martin Luther King who said that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere..." This is more of the web of oppression woven by the current pathological state that America has become.

Re: New book: American Heart of Darkness: Miami Book Fair

Wife and I are getting ready to take the RV from California to Florida for the Miami Book Fair and Readers’ Favorite awards presentations. Found out that a guy I grew up with will be there also. I have not seen him since we were teenagers. He was a helicopter door gunner in Vietnam, one of the few that survived, and he has written two books. Seems that the events of the Vietnam generation are something many of us are still processing. Along with Vietnam came the assassinations of just about anyone with transformational leadership potential.
I saw these events as not a change in direction but a course correction. America had been on a course of genocide, racism, and militarism from the very beginning, but in the ‘60s the country was ready for a new direction. The deep power structure would not have any of it and the assignations were a clear message as to who really ran things. The endless wars, toppled governments, invasions, and all the rest are the legacy of the ‘60s that we are still with today.
We have an unsustainable system that is unraveling in front of our eyes. More and more people are realizing this. It is going to come to one overarching question: Are we going to allow a few psychopaths to keep us fighting with each other, or are we going to come together and straighten this mess out? It could go either way.

I wonder if there will be any SOTT people at the book fair?

Hi Robert,

The trips too far for me but I wanted to wish you and the wife safe travels and a good time. :)

Thanks Pete.
Today I opened Google and there was this background that showed kids playing and the words – “Thank you Dr. Salk” on a banner. Anyone who remembers the ‘50s can recall the polio epidemic, iron lungs, kids on crutches, and all the rest, and the fact that the Salk vaccine miraculously did away with all of that.
What is not on America’s radar screen is the hidden, dark history of the development of polio vaccine that I found researching my first book. Left out is the fact that the vaccine was developed by growing the polio virus on kidney tissue from African Green Monkeys. Along with the polio virus, there were all sorts of other viruses carried by these Green Monkeys that ended up in the polio vaccines. These viruses are suspected to this day as having resulted in the soft tissue cancers that reached epidemic proportions in the U.S. thirty years later.
The above scenario leads to some very dark places. Some of us recall that the African Green monkey is also suspected of being the source of the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV), long suspected of being the source of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
This also brings up the whole bioweapons research subject that leads to man-made cancer causing viruses (recall CIA programs to kill Castro, Jack Ruby, etc., and the fact that Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in transporting these viruses and tissues around New Orleans). No way was Oswald going to be tried in open court!
These are some of the subjects I went into in my first book, and I will further develop in my second. The whole child trafficking subject is another example of the reality of which is far different from what is generally understood.

Thanks for pointing out why that image was on the google browser today, Robert. I had no idea what it meant! Kind of like a 'subliminal' vaccine promotion and a portend of things to come.

That is interesting about the green monkey tissue and vaccinations. It certainly explains how these monkey viruses are being spread to man! Courtesy of the Red Cross! When I was at university, there was much talk about AIDS being from monkeys - but the mode of transmission from monkey to man was not clearly spelled out. Some said it was because man had sex with the monkey, but the vaccination explanation is much more likely. Gawd, just think how much havoc they've created.

Interesting, as something similar was recently posted on SoTT, which you may have seen before, and included an interview with some messed up vaccine scientist, Maurice Hilleman (Merck) in the 60's talking about taking live virus samples from imported African Greens (think back in 1955 by samples) and using them in Polio vaccines SV40. In the film they are laughing about knowing it was dangerous, yet there was no human consciousness to their acts. It's sick.

Thanks for the SOTT link, voyager. I missed that one somehow. Just think of all the people that will line up for an "ebola" vaccine once they roll it out! And speaking of population control.....

There was a link posted on facebook, which talks about statistics posted on deagel.com For 2013, it gives the US population where it is now (about 316 million) and then in their projections for 2025, the US population is predicted to drop to 69 million! _http://www.deagel.com/country/forecast.aspx

I did a quick search to see who runs deagel. It appears to be a military contractor site. There is a lot of chatter on the net about these population predictions, but so far, I still don't know who they are and where they get their stats. Psy ops or just a prediction of the US collapse?

Hi Lilou,

You apparently didn't look down far enough as they give ample explanations for this USA forecast:

There have been many questions about the countries forecast specially the one focusing on the United States of America (USA). They won't be answered one by one but below you can find some explanation, thoughts and reflections. We are going to keep this as short as possible.

The majority of the economic and demographic data used in the making of the forecasts is widely available by institutions such as the CIA, IMF, UN, USG, etc. You can see the most relevant data at every single country's page. There is a tiny part of data coming from a variety of shadow sources such as Internet gurus, unsigned reports and others. But all these sources are from the internet and are of public domain for at least a minority. For example, several years ago Dagong, the Chinese ratings agency, published a report analyzing the physical economy of the States comparing it with those of China, Germany and Japan. The conclusion was that the US GDP was something between $5 to $10 trillion instead of $15 trillion as officially reported by the USG. We assume that the official data, especially economic, released by governments is fake, cooked or distorted in some degree. Historically it is well known that the former Soviet Union was making up fake statistics years before its collapse. Western as well as other countries are making up their numbers today to conceal their real state of affairs. We are sure that many people out there can find government statistics in their own countries that by their own personal experience are hard to believe or are so optimistic that may belong to a different country.

Despite the numeric data "quantity" there is a "quality" model which has not a direct translation into numeric data. The 2014 strain of Ebola has a death rate of 50-60% but try to imagine what would happen if there is a pandemic of Ebola with hundreds of thousands or millions infected with the virus. So far the few cases of Ebola-infected people have "enjoyed" intensive healthcare with anti-viral and breathing assistance but above all with abundant human support by Physicians and nurses. In a pandemic scenario that kind of healthcare won't be available for the overwhelming number of infected leading to a dramatic increase of the death rate due to the lack of proper healthcare. The "quality" factor is that the death rate could increase to 80-90% in a pandemic scenario from the stated 50-60% rate. The figure itself is not important what is relevant is the fact that the scenario can evolve beyond the initial conditions from a 50% death toll to more than 90%. By the way, no pandemic or nuclear war is included in the forecast.

The key element to understand the process that the USA will enter in the upcoming decade is migration. In the past, specially in the 20th century, the key factor that allowed the USA to rise to its colossus status was immigration with the benefits of a demographic expansion supporting the credit expansion and the brain drain from the rest of the world benefiting the States. The collapse of the Western financial system will wipe out the standard of living of its population while ending ponzi schemes such as the stock exchange and the pension funds. The population will be hit so badly by a full array of bubbles and ponzi schemes that the migration engine will start to work in reverse accelerating itself due to ripple effects thus leading to the demise of the States. This unseen situation for the States will develop itself in a cascade pattern with unprecedented and devastating effects for the economy. Jobs offshoring will surely end with many American Corporations relocating overseas thus becoming foreign Corporations!!!! We see a significant part of the American population migrating to Latin America and Asia while migration to Europe - suffering a similar illness - won't be relevant. Nevertheless the death toll will be horrible. Take into account that the Soviet Union's population was poorer than the Americans nowadays or even then. The ex-Soviets suffered during the following struggle in the 1990s with a significant death toll and the loss of national pride. Might we say "Twice the pride, double the fall"? Nope. The American standard of living is one of the highest, far more than double of the Soviets while having added a services economy that will be gone along with the financial system. When pensioners see their retirement disappear in front of their eyes and there are no servicing jobs you can imagine what is going to happen next. At least younger people can migrate. Never in human history were so many elders among the population. In past centuries people were lucky to get to their 30s or 40s. The American downfall is set to be far worse than the Soviet Union's one. A confluence of crisis with a devastating result.

The Demographic crisis in the former Soviet Union countries has extended for over two decades, if we accept that it ended early in this decade (2010s). The demographic crisis will hit the World in the near future and is projected to last between three and eight decades more or less depending on technological breakthrough and environmental issues. The aftermath is more likely a frozen picture with the population numbers staying the same for a very, very long period of time. The countries forecast population numbers do reflect birth/deaths but also migratory movements. Many countries are going to increase their gross population due to immigration while their native population may shrink.

Over the past two thousand years we have witnessed the Western civilization built around the Mediterranean Sea shifting to Northern Europe and then by the mid 20th century shifting to an Atlantic axis to finally get centered into the States in the past 30 years. The next move will see the civilization being centered in Asia with Russia and China on top. Historically a change in the economic paradigm has resulted in a death toll that is rarely highlighted by mainstream historians. When the transition from rural areas to large cities happened in Europe many people unable to accept the new paradigm killed themselves. They killed themselves by a psychological factor. This is not mainstream but it is true. A new crisis joins old, well known patterns with new ones.

Sorry to disappoint many of you with our forecast. It is getting worse and worse every year since the beginning of the pre-crisis in 2007. It is already said that this website is non-profit, built on spare time and we provide our information and services AS IS without further explanations and/or guarantees. We are not linked to any government in any way, shape or form. We are not a death or satanic cult or arms dealers as some BS is floating around the internet on this topic. Take into account that the forecast is nothing more than a model whether flawed or correct. It is not God's word or a magic device that allows to foresee the future.

Their forecast for The Netherlands (where I live) goes from currently 16,800,000 inhabitants down to 9,089,260 in 2025 --a drop of 46%. Hardly believable even with the above explanation, but who knows ?!?
