New show: NewsReal with Joe & Niall

Power outage?! No way! We have full battery backup for the show now. Only an EMP (might) stop The Signal. 🤓

Today's issue was - wait for it - USB issues! I swapped in a 5m USB cable for a 1.5m cable so I could move Adam's cam (which is why he looked even MORE beautiful today). This apparently caused connectivity issues with Niall's cam, which then caused 2 different applications to "fight" for the cam as it re-connected, thereby freezing Niall's video the first time... and then locking up the entire puter the 2nd time.

And of course earlier in the week when I tested the modified setup - 3 times in a row - it worked fine! 🤪

Not to worry: next week I should have it sorted.

Or a simple USB cable with usual computer tech unpredictable behavior. 😜

Almost 20 years ago, an experienced experimental physicist revealed the secret of craft; you can simulate and test everything in the lab and on the site to the smallest details and everything would be working fine, but as soon as the real experiment begins, there would be a handful of issues and tech failures that basically should not be happening. So, expect the unexpected if it can cause issues. 😇
The C's have said something similar to that, if remember correctly.

I had a feeling that's what the issue was, it's rare and only a few dozen cases have ever been documented, where some are skeptical it's even a real phenomena and not just a conspiracy theory, too much beauty for a single stream.

We're back today, and it should start in a few minutes... however the user interface of the app we use to set up livestreams has changed in the last two weeks, so I'm not sure that this is going to work...

Restream says we're good to go, but I can't find the YT link to the show in our YT studio... if anyone sees it, please post it here for others to open.
