No 'Behind the Headlines' show this week (December 6th, 2015)

You've been working tirelessly and persistently for a long time, Joe, and your work is very much appreciated. Many people would have burned out by now, and it's understandable that you need to take a break. I hope you can get some rest, and if there's anything physical going on beyond the emotional toll of your work, that you can find some answers soon. Take care :hug2:

I hope you feel better soon Joe. Take care of yourself, but let yourself be taken care of too. We'll look forward to you being back when you're ready. :hug2:

Hi Joe,

Just want to join the others here in wishing you a speedy recovery. You're so so important to the group's efforts. I've long admired your courage and conviction -- you always say clearly what's in your heart.

I like to add something others have mentioned. Regarding iodine. I started taking 4 drops per day of Lugol's 5 days ago. And I've been having some very vivid dreams, related to major personal issues. Ones that I thought were fully resolved in my psyche looong ago. I was under the impression I had already made a full accounting & acceptance of those errors in my earlier life. And hence gotten release. Apparently NOT so. And it's coming back up ... in a deeper fashion.

Strangely this has not depressed me. I guess each individual will have their own unique reactions. But it did very much catch me by surprise. I've resolved to get to the very bottom of it. Come what may.

FWIW.

Don’t let the Expletives get you down, on the microscopic or macro level, Joe.

Looking forward to hearing when your up and about in good health...

Remember the C’s ‘Balance being the great equaliser,’ something along those lines.

Get well Soon

That's more or less it. Trying to make sense of the this horribly dystopian world is a futile endeavor, because as much as anyone can explain what's happening to our world, it is ultimately going to be driven off a cliff by fundamentally insane individuals. So perhaps a slightly different, less invested, approach is necessary, for body mind and soul.

That reminded me of this bit from George Carlin. Had to dig a while to find the relevant parts, but I thought I'd share it.

The planet isn't going anywhere - we are! We're going to go away, and the planet will heal. That's what it does. We wasted our gifts... That's why I'm divorced from it now. I see it from a distance, I give myself a divorce. I say 'George, emotionally you don't have a stake in the outcome now. So watch it, have fun.' ... Oh, they say if you scratch a cynic you'll find a disappointed idealist. And I would admit that somewhere underneath all of this there is a flicker of a flame of idealism that would love to see it all change, but it can't. It can't happen that way...

Warning, some foul language, but the video can be found here.

George summed it up very well.

Thanks Hesper. George Carlin is so tragically funny.

I FINALLY got my Lugol's and have started the protocol, and have been having CRAZY dreams too. Something is definitely happening...

Hello dear forum people!

Joe’s feeling a bit under the weather, so there will be no episode of ‘Behind the Headlines’ this week.

This means you have a chance to catch with old shows you might have missed :)

We'll be back soon.

Hello
Today is 3 Jan 2016, and the time is 14:27 EST (-5 GMT) and no Behind the Headlines, no matter how oftern I reload or refresh the SOTT blogtalkradio web page.
show cancelled this week?

I've been checking for the Behind the Headlines show today, 3 January , as well. Feeling disappointed. I realize how much I enjoy listening to Joe and Co"s perspective. Missing my weekly "fix". I feel like I've been gorging on news lately trying to connect the dots and stay current on recent world developments. It gives me a better understanding of the topics they present, like I did my homework this week teacher. Haha. I'm appreciative of the many contributors that have a handle on the world situation. And special thank you to Pierre on his article about heroes. It was a nice way to wrap up 2015, IMO. ;D
