Philippines: Rodrigo Duterte and the West

Some more informations about what is going on right now in the Philippines.
US backed psychopathic gangs called ISIS, started the destruction of Philippines.
That is what happens to leaders who work and fight for their people and their country. It is so sad.

Yesterday I was reading one article in one Macedonian newspaper where the author of the text was analyzing and comparing the situations in Syria, Macedonia, and many more countries and the latest developments in the Philippines. All these countries share one common thing and that was that they didn't want to be servants of the so-called "deep-state" and that they want to cooperate and have a friendly relationship with all the countries. And they were all punished. It not important how they call their "mad dogs of war" Is it ISIS or some other name in another country, it is all the same.
That was shortly , in a few sentences the point of the article.

The Philippine government has declared an Islamic State ‘invasion’ after an Isis flag was hoisted over the southern city of Marawi. The army, which is embroiled in a deadly battle with Muslim extremists, claims foreign fighters are among rebels who have held the city since Tuesday, when troops raided the hideout of a notorious militant leader. With the city overtaken by violence that has claimed the lives of at least 46 people and prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to declare martial law on the island of Mindanao, citizens are fleeing en masse
‘They kill defenceless people’: thousands flee Philippine city of Marawi

As it looks, the Philippines will probably share the destiny of Syria. :(

It will be interesting to see how long it takes before the terrorists will be portrayed by the Western MSM as freedom fighting rebels, who peacefully wanted change.

But peaceful they are not:

VIDEO: Philippine Army runs for cover in Marawi after coming under fire from ISIS sniper

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:45 P.M.) – Footage emerged on Friday showing soldiers of the Philippine Armed Forces retreating after being targeted by an ISIS sniper in Marawi, a city in the southern Philippines which has been largely overrun by Maute and Abu Sayyaf, two jihadist groups that have sworn allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

Earlier in the day, ISIS militants also ambushed the Philippine Army in the countryside south of the city, resulting in the destruction of a handful of armored vehicles. A nearby army base was also torched by the jihadist insurgents.

Thus far, over 80 government soldiers have been killed in the battle for Marawi. On the other hand, at least 20 ISIS fighters – some of whom were from Indonesia and Malaysia – have been neutralized through a mixture of airstrikes and counter-insurgency operations.

The Islamic State still controls the police headquarters and main prison in downtown Marawi although the Philippine Army has made some progress in the city’s western and northwestern suburbs where most of the current clashes are concentrated after more government reinforcements arrived today.

The latest pictures of jihadist militants inside the city can be found here while other photos of a secret regional ISIS training camp are avaliable here.

Looks like Duteres visit to Moskau was very fruitful. The Philippians are very satisfied:

“The response of the Russian Federation through President Putin was very, very generous,” Cayetano said at a press briefing. “They have showed what is available to us. I’m not at liberty now to discuss that… but they are awaiting our proposals.”

“These are really modern equipment that can be used to fight terrorists that will avoid injuring or causing deaths or damage or deaths to innocent bystanders or people in a community and also to prevent collateral damage,” Cayetano added.

11 documents are about to be put into actions between the countries that include those areas:

"These include a defense cooperation agreement, memorandums on cooperation in nuclear energy, trade, investment, industry, transport, culture, and arts, as well as an action program for cooperation in tourism and a plan of consultations between our foreign ministries,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in talks with Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Alan Peter Cayetano."

In short, full scale cooperation seems to be in the making and that at a fast speed. Good for the Filipinos! Luckily they have Duterte with a fair bit of common sense and brains. The empire won't like it though and will put even more pressure on Duterte.

On the May of 17 Putin made the following proposal. It shows how serious Russia is, in fighting the real war on terrorism.

Putin offers Russian cooperation to Islamic nations fighting terrorism

In a message to all participants of the Russia-Islamic World conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised support and cooperation to all Islamic countries that are currently fighting terrorism and extremism.

“Today, many Islamic nations face serious challenges, such as the escalation of terrorism and militant extremism, sharp increases in ethnic and religious controversies, of economic and social problems. I would like to emphasize that the Islamic world can fully count on support and assistance from the Russian side,” Putin wrote in his telegram, published on the presidential website on Wednesday.

“I am confident that together we can do a lot to strengthen international security and stability, to build a fair, democratic world order that would be free from any form of intolerance, discrimination and dictatorship imposed by force,” he added.

The KazanSummit 2017 international economic forum opens in the Russian city of Kazan on Thursday and will continue till Saturday. Ahead of the forum, the strategic vision group for the Russia-Islamic World held its third session in the Chechen capital, Grozny.

Some recent commentary from The Duran on the Western media's twisting of Duterte's war against drugs and ISIS:

5 reasons liberals are frightened of Duterte beating ISIS

_http://theduran.com/5-reasons-liberals-are-frightened-of-duterte-beating-isis/

Liberals will never side with Rodrigo Duterte, even if he crushes ISIS in Philippines. Even as he fights ISIS, the western liberal elite and their mainstream media allies have nothing good to say about the Philippine President.

Reports have surfaced that under the leadership of President Rodrigo Duterte, the Philippine armed forces are using guided rockets to blast ISIS targets around the now ISIS occupied city of Marawi. As a consequence, many in western mainstream media are calling Duterte’s war excessive, even though the excessive horrors of the ISIS enemy are widely known.

Here’s what frightens liberals about a Duterte victory

1. ISIS is financed by drugs

Duterte first incurred the wrath of the US deep state, the EU and liberal NGOs from the west through his tough stance on drugs. Duterte’s first war was the war on drugs, but what many do not realise is that it is related to the wider war on ISIS.

ISIS are known to profit from the international narcotics trade. As the Iraqi army advances on further ISIS positions in Iraq’s oil rich regions, from Afghanistan to the Middle East and East Asia to the lucrative Latin American drugs network, ISIS have cultivated a profitable hand in the narcotics trade.

ISIS trading in Afghan heroin alone is an illegal business reportedly earning the terrorist group $1 billion per year.

The war on drugs, as waged in Philippines is as much about cutting off a lucrative black market for ISIS as it is about fighting violent organised crime and social chaos.

Drugs and drug users are in this sense complicit in aiding terrorism. Liberals who make every excuse in the world for drug use are doing their best to ignore this. If Duterte wins the double-headed war on ISIS and the drugs that fund ISIS, liberals will have a great deal to answer for.

2. It vindicates President Bashar al-Assad’s fight against terrorism

The liberal mainstream media continually demonise President Bashar al-Assad who once stood virtually alone fighting ISIS and other ISIS clones. Some of these clone groups, whose members are fighting for ISIS one day and another group the next, are often still called ‘moderate rebels’ by the mainstream media.

When Bashar al-Assad first became President of Syria in 2000, he was considered a moderate and indeed he still is. He has overseen reforms in Syria that have made it among the most open and free societies in the Middle East.

By contrast, Duterte is a populist who openly promotes a heavy handed approach to social disorder and law enforcement. If Duterte who in many ways is far more of a hardliner than Assad wins the war on terrorism, it will show liberals that the soft approach to government is insufficient when fighting terrorism.

This is not to say that Assad is weak, he is certainly strong and steadfast in his support and defence of his nation. But if Assad the moderate is called a ‘brutal dictator’ who is criticised for his war on ISIS by the western mainstream media, Duterte looks set for even more criticism.

Duterte in his battle can show the world the way to beat ISIS. It is not through capitulation or by surrendering one’s values, it is through extreme toughness. If the liberals were afraid of Assad, they will be even more afraid of Duterte. The fact that the only people who have to fear the two Presidents are terrorists, seems not to matter to the liberal west.

3. A Duterte victory will demonstrate that Syria is surrounded by enemy states

It has long been known that terrorists operating in Syria are supplied through Turkey, Jordan and Israel. This is to say nothing of the ISIS controlled areas of the border between Syria and Iraq. Many have accused Lebanon of having lax border security when it comes to supplying ISIS and other jihadist groups. This is why terrorists in Syria continue to exploit this border.

Philippines is a series of islands making supplying ISIS considerably more difficult than supplying terrorists in Syria over land. This is especially true of Turkey from where many supplies including western arms reach the hands of terrorists.

A naval blockade of the areas in Philippines where ISIS is in charge could help to stop the inflow of materials to the terrorists.

This holds the potential to make a Philippine victory over ISIS easier than that of Syria which has found it difficult to police its borders with unfriendly states.

4. It shows that yet again Russia and China are on the correct side of history

After a successful meeting between Rodrigo Duterte and Vladimir Putin, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is committed to cooperating with Philippines on issues such as defence, intelligence, counter-terrorism support and the war on drugs.

China which has recently reached an historic rapprochement with Philippines may also contribute to the effort should it be prolonged.

This demonstrates that whether aiding Syria which is an historic Soviet/Russian ally or in aiding a traditional American ally and former US colony like Philippines, Russia and China are both willing to engage in countries that respectfully ask for assistance in various matters, including in the crutical fight against ISIS.

The fact that ISIS launched their war of conquest against Philippines when Duterte was meeting with Putin is also a notable factor. ISIS and their puppet-masters in the Gulf and beyond wanted to expose Duterte’s relationship with Russia as meaningless. Duterte and Putin will likely prove them wrong.

5. It unmasks the poor priorities of the liberal mainstream media and political elite

While the west was up in arms about Duterte’s ISIS related drug war, they ignored the fact that a decades old Islamist/Salafist insurgency in Philippines had declared its loyalty to ISIS.

They were literally more concerned with Duterte’s domestic policies which they have no right to change, than they were about helping a democratic nation fight ISIS terrorism.

Philippine security forces bombed residential areas of a Southern city as they battled ISIL-linked militants who were holding hostages and were reported to have murdered at least 11 civilians.

Philippine Security Forces Bomb Southern City in Battle with ISIL-Linked Militants
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960306001299

An initial rampage by gunmen through the mainly Muslim city of Marawi on Tuesday prompted president Rodrigo Duterte to impose martial law across the southern third of the Philippines. The gunmen have pledged allegiance to ISIL, the National reported.

Authorities said ending the crisis was proving extremely hard because although there were only 30 to 40 militants remaining in the city, they were moving nimbly through homes and had planted bombs in the streets, in addition to holding hostages.

Authorities said 11 soldiers, two policemen and 31 militants had been killed in the three days of fighting, while the military said another 39 soldiers had been wounded.

Intense gunfighting could be heard constantly throughout the day on Thursday, and the military said it had dropped bombs on residential neighbourhoods.

"We are using surgical airstrikes," local military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jo-Ar Herrera said in Marawi, shortly before big clouds of black smoke rose from a bombed area near the provincial government building.

Most of Marawi’s 200,000 residents had already fled the city, which is about 800 kilometres south of Manila. But Lt Col Herrera said those who remained had been warned to get out of the areas where there was bombing and fighting.

"We are requesting our people in Marawi to go to safe places ... and to stay indoors," he said.

Lt Col Herrera said two civilians were killed inside a hospital that the gunmen were occupying on Tuesday, and that the military was investigating reports of nine people being murdered at a checkpoint set up by the militants.

The militants are also holding between 12 and 15 Catholic hostages abducted from a church, according to the local bishop, Edwin Dela Pena.

Mr Duterte said on Wednesday that one of the policemen killed was caught at a checkpoint set up by the militants, before being beheaded.

The fighting in Marawi erupted on Tuesday after security forces raided a house where they believed Isnilon Hapilon, a leader of the Abu Sayyaf militant group and the Philippine head of ISIL, was hiding.

The United States, which regards Hapilon as one of the world’s most dangerous terrorists, has offered a bounty of US$5 million (Dh18.4m) for his capture.

The raid went spectacularly wrong as dozens of gunmen emerged to repel the security forces, before going on a rampage across the city while flying black ISIL flags.

The gunmen belong to the Maute group, which, along with Hapilon’s faction of the Abu Sayyaf, has pledged allegiance to ISIL, authorities said.

The militants raided two jails, leading to the escape of more than 100 inmates, according to Mujiv Hataman, the governor of a Muslim self-ruled area that includes Marawi.

They also set fire to many buildings, including a church and a university.

An enraged Mr Duterte declared martial law shortly after the fighting erupted, saying it was required throughout the Southern region of Mindanao, which is home to 20 million people.

VIDEO: Philippine Army wins the upper hand in the battle for Marawi, 35 ISIS members killed
By Chris Tomson - 27/05/2017

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (9:00 P.M.) – The Philippine Armed Forces are slowly regaining lost urban territory in the embattled city of Marawi, advancing through its western suburbs towards the city center and harbour which remain under Islamic State control for now.

Thus far, at least 35 ISIS insurgents have been killed. However, some 80 government troops and 9 civilians have died since clashes began on Tuesday with the ISIS-linked Abu Sayyaf and Maute groups capturing most of the provincial capital of Lanao at the time.

New footage of counter-insurgency operations and army reinforcements arriving in Marawi:

The attack on Marawi, a mainly Muslim city of 200,000 residents, has led to a fierce four-day battle, with the army deploying attack helicopters and special forces.

While up to 90 percent of Marawi’s people have fled amid the fighting, many who were trapped or refused to leave their homes have impeded military assaults, officials said.

Philippine fighter aircraft also unleashed rocket fire against militants on Saturday, prompting villagers to hoist white flags to avoid being targeted.

Pictures of Islamic State militants recently emerged through Amaq Agency, reaffirming their presence across Marawi. A recent ambush also took place in the countryside south of the city where ISIS snipers have increased their activity.

The following article goes into the background of Abu Sayyaf and their links to the CIA:

https://geopolitics.co/2016/10/29/why-cia-created-the-abu-sayyaf-in-the-philippines/

The roots of the Abu Sayyaf lead us straight back to al-Qaeda. In the mid-1980s, Professor Abdul Rasul Sayyaf nominally headed an alliance of extremist armed groups financed by Osama bin Laden, among others, and influenced by Saudi Wahabism. He established a notorious but secretive “university”—Dawal al-Jihad—in the north of Peshawar, which functioned as a major terrorist training camp.

Roughly 20,000 mujahideen from 40 countries–including the Philippines–were trained there by Pakistani military intelligence (ISI) with extensive CIA support in the form of expertise, weapons, and funds. Many of these fighters were in search of “other wars to fight,” including in the Philippines, the Middle East, North Africa, and New York. It was not long before “a nucleus of Abu Sayyaf fighters had moved to the Philippines and were operating there under that name.”

Looks like the Philippines army is defeating ISIS in Marawi, but has suffered heavy losses.

Philippines army winning battle to liberate Marawi from Islamic State

Losses on both sides in the fighting have been heavy. Allegedly up to 35 ISIS fighters have been killed in the fighting. However the losses of Filipino troops have reportedly been even higher, with as many as 80 of them killed.

It is only a matter of time before the Philippines army recaptures Marawi. It is not known exactly how many ISIS fighters there are there but the most common estimates puts their number at about 500. However well trained and motivated they are - and it is likely some of them are hardened veterans of the wars in Iraq, Libya and Syria - there are simply not enough of them to hold off the Philippines army however ill-equipped, untrained and inexperienced it might be.

Unfortunately the battle of Marawi is likely to be only the start of what could prove to be a protracted counter insurgency war against ISIS in the Philippines.

MARAWI, PHILIPPINES — Philippine forces found the bodies of what appeared to be eight executed civilians as authorities launched fresh airstrikes Sunday to drive militants linked to the Islamic State group out of a besieged southern city. The death toll from six days of fighting neared 100.

Philippines Pounds Militants As Civilians Found Shot Dead
https://www.voanews.com/a/philippines-pounds-militants-as-civilians-found-shot-dead/3874361.html

Sun. May 28, 2017 - The crisis in Marawi, home to some 200,000 people, has grown increasingly dire as the militants show unexpected tenacity, fending off a military that has unleashed attack helicopters, armored vehicles and scores of soldiers.

The violence prompted President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday to declare 60 days of martial law in the southern Philippines, where a Muslim separatist rebellion has raged for decades. But the recent bloodshed in Marawi has raised fears that extremism is growing as smaller militant groups unify and align themselves with the Islamic State group.

Much of the city is a no-go zone, but as the military advances and more civilians escape, the scope of the battle is becoming clear.

Thousands of civilians have streamed out of Marawi and more than 2,000 were still trapped inside the city. Many sent desperate text messages begging to be rescued and reporting that their homes had been destroyed, said Zia Alonto Adiong, an official in Lanao del Sur, one of the country's poorest provinces.

"Have mercy on us, we don't have any more water to drink,'' read one of the messages, sent to a hotline set up for trapped residents.

The Associated Press was shown the messages by relief workers at a provincial government complex in Marawi. Another message asked authorities to retrieve three bodies that were rotting near a resident's home.

Speaking at the evacuation center on Sunday, Saddat Liong said his house was hit by mortar fire and burned to the ground. Liong, his wife and eight children lost everything, he said - even their cooking pots.

"I feel that we've lost our city,'' he said.

Military spokesman Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said that combat operations were still going on, but that the militants were weakening.

"We believe they're now low on ammunition and food,'' he said, speaking by phone from Manila, the capital. "Compared to the initial days, there has been increasingly less resistance from the militants within Marawi.''

Padilla said the bodies of four men, three women and a child were found near a road close to Mindanao State University in Marawi.

Eight other men were found gunned down and thrown into a shallow ravine early Sunday in Marawi's Emi village, said police officer Jamail Mangadang. A paper sign attached to one of the men indicated that the victims had "betrayed their faith,'' he said, identifying the men as civilians.

Marawi is a mostly Muslim city.

Mangadang said the eight men were bakers and carpenters who were evacuating to Iligan, a city near Marawi, but were intercepted by the militants. When they couldn't recite verses of the Quran because they were Christians, they were brought to the top of a ravine and shot to death, Mangadang said, citing the chief of a village where the victims lived.

In addition to the civilian deaths, Padilla said 61 militants, 11 soldiers and four police were among the dead.

The violence erupted Tuesday night when the government launched a raid to capture Isnilon Hapilon, who is on Washington's list of most-wanted terrorists. But the operation went awry and militants rampaged through the city, torching buildings and battling government forces in the streets.

A priest and several worshippers were taken hostage. There was no word on their condition.

Hapilon, an Islamic preacher, is a commander of the Abu Sayyaf militant group who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group in 2014. He also heads an alliance of at least 10 smaller militant groups, including the Maute, which has a heavy presence in Marawi and has been instrumental in fighting off government forces in the current battles.

All of the groups are inspired by the Islamic State group. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana told reporters that Hapilon has received funds from the Islamic State group.

Washington has offered a $5 million reward for information leading to Hapilon's capture.

The HuffPost is featuring an article - claiming that in a speech below, Duterte said that "he would back his soldiers - if they rape women while enforcing martial law." In the video, Duterte speaks mainly in English (also with subtitles in English below) yet, even though I have viewed the video twice - I do not see or hear the word "rape" anywhere in the dialog? Would someone kindly review the video and see if they come up with the word "rape" in Duterte's speech?

Philippines President Duterte Says His Soldiers Can Rape During Martial Law
https://www.yahoo.com/news/philippines-president-duterte-says-soldiers-050509711.html

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte — congratulated last month by U.S. President Donald Trump for his murderous war on drugs — told his soldiers he will back them up if they rape women while enforcing martial law.

The remark, though apparently intended as humor, drew stinging rebukes from human rights and women’s organizations.

Duterte made his comment in a rambling speech Friday on the island of Mindanao, where he imposed martial law last Tuesday to battle militants linked to the Islamic State.

If any of them were to rape three women, he said, he would personally claim responsibility for the attacks, according to a transcript of the speech released by the president’s office, The Guardian reported.

“Fight, and I will pray for you and I will answer for everything,” he said at one point in English in a videotape of his speech. “If you go down, I go down. I and I alone will be responsible.”

He added: “Just do your job. I will take care of the rest. I will go to jail for you. If you rape three, I will admit it.”

He also said: “You can arrest any person, search any house.”

Phelim Kine, a deputy director with Human Rights Watch’s Asian division,
said the “pro-rape comments only confirm some of the worst fears of human rights activists that the Duterte government will not just turn a blind eye to possible military abuses in Mindanao, but may actively encourage them.”

The Gabriela Women’s Party in the Phillippines issued an angry statement saying: “Rape is not a joke. This attempt to please the military forces using women to feed the macho fascist mentality ... emboldens military forces to systematically use rape as a tool of war.”

Chelsea Clinton took to Twitter to lash the idea of a rape comment as a joke, saying: “Not funny. Ever.”

Duterte’s spokesman responded to the outrage by saying that the president was using “heightened bravado” to lift troop morale, Agence France-Presse reported.

Last year Duterte “joked” about an Australian missionary who was killed in a prison riot after men lined up to rape her. Duterte said she was beautiful and that he should have been first in line.

Duterte is notorious for the war on drugs he has launched that has resulted in the extra-judicial killings of at least 7,000 suspects. He once boasted that he himself had pushed a drug trafficking suspect out of a helicopter, but later said he was joking.

Trump, according to a transcript of an April 29 call leaked to the media, told Duterte, “I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the unbelievable job on the drug problem.”

“Many countries have the problem, we have a problem, but what a great job you are doing and I just wanted to call and tell you that,” Trump said.

Trump has invited Duterte to visit him in the White House. Duterte hasn’t yet accepted the invitation.

'Rape is never a joke' Chelsea Clinton tells 'murderous thug' Duterte (Short video)
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/rape-never-joke-chelsea-clinton-tells-murderous-thug-duterte-1623661?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=rss-related&utm_content=/rss/yahoous/news

Rape is never a joke," said Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former US president Bill Clinton and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, reacting to Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte's recent comments.

The foul-mouthed president, who recently declared martial law in the restive Mindanao province in the south, told military personnel in Iligan City on Friday (26 May) that they have his full backing in whatever they do to implement martial law, even if that includes raping women.

He is "a murderous thug with no regard for human rights," Clinton wrote on Twitter and said that such rape jokes can never be funny.

Several human rights campaign groups also strongly reacted to Duterte's joke and raised concerns about possible human rights abuses under martial law. The groups have previously accused the president of encouraging extrajudicial killings as part of his drug war.

Phelim Kine of Human Rights Watch told the BBC that Duterte's comment was "a sickening attempt at humour" that could encourage more human rights abuses.

Duterte's pro-rape comments only confirm some of the worst fears of human rights activists that the Duterte government will not just turn a blind eye to possible military abuses in Mindanao, but may actively encourage them," Kine noted.

Gabriela Women's Party in the Philippines also criticised the president's rape joke, saying: "Rape is not a joke. Martial law and the heightened vulnerability to military abuse that it brings to women and children are not a joke either."

Gerifel Cerillo, coordinator of a Philippines-based women's rights group, said there was evidence of countless incidents of rape by military, paramilitary and police officers during martial law under former president Ferdinand Marcos and other presidents.

"President Duterte, in his most recent rape joke, is preaching to a monstrous choir. He encouraged a known fascist institution, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), to do exactly what it has been doing. Women, especially the poor who have been at the receiving end of such violence, are not laughing," Cerillo was quoted as saying by the Philippines Star.

However, this was not the first occasion the Filipino leader made a rape joke. In 2016, while he was campaigning for the presidential elections, the then Davao city mayor had joked about a 1989 rape and murder of an Australian missionary, saying that being the mayor of the town where the criminal act took place, he should have been "first in line".

According to a different source he didn't say it in English.

Duterte vows all-out support for troops fighting terrorists – then cracks rape joke

By: Alexander T. Magno - @inquirerdotnet INQUIRER.net / 10:04 PM May 26, 2017

President Rodrigo Duterte vowed on Friday to give his all-out support – in terms of prayers, legal support, and military hardware – for the soldiers of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Army in a speech that was almost entirely serious – except that he couldn’t help cracking another rape joke.

He reminded the soldiers that, under the martial law he had declared to suppress the attacks of the Maute Group and the Abu Sayyaf in Marawi City, they could arrest anyone and search any house without a warrant.

All they would need, as in the martial law regime of President Ferdinand Marcos, was an arrest, search, and seizure order (ASSO), which could be signed by Gen. Eduardo Año, whose tenure he had extended for six months past his retirement age.

Duterte even said that, if he were younger, he would have wanted to fight side by side with them.

But he said: “It’s late in the day. I’m a leader. I”m supposed to show the way. Pero kung saan ninyo ako gusto, ipatawag ninyo, tawagin mo yan si mayor, papuntahin mo dito. Pupunta ako.”

(“But if you would summon me, call the mayor, ask me to come here. I will come.”)

He told them not to worry about the implications of martial law, saying: “If you go down, I go down. But for this martial law and the consequences of martial law and the ramifications of martial law, I and I alone would be responsible. Trabaho lang kayo. Ako ng bahala (Just work. Leave everything else to me).”

The soldiers applauded.

(“I will go to jail for you. If you happen to have raped three women, I will own up to it. If you marry four, son of a bitch, you will get beaten…”)

He left the sentence hanging.

The rape joke was included in the transcript provided by the Presidential Communications Office.

When he was still a presidential candidate, Duterte got a lot of flak from various groups for cracking a joke about an Australian missionary who had been reportedly raped before being killed during a prison hostage-taking incident in Davao City in 1989, when he was still vice mayor.

As of this writing, this other rape joke, though based on a hypothetical situation, has started to get attention online.

From article above:

Of note, in the English subtitles did notice "Martial Law" referred to as "Marcia Lowe" or "Marcia Dawn". Unfortunately, I don't know Duterte's native language and can't translate the above sentences?

And so, as Brzezinski leaves his mortal coil, his work (the 'Arc of Crisis' to provide an American military footprint in Eurasia) lives on. From a 'rag-tag bunch of stirred-up Moslems' in Afghanistan, the plague he started in central Asia has spread to the Middle East (Iraq/Syria), North Africa (Libya), and now East Asia. I fear it's too late for the Philippines; whatever the outcome of this particular situation in Marawi, weapons, mercenaries, drugs, and cash will continue flowing into the country until the US has to come 'save it' and use it as a launchpad for spreading the plague further into the region.

Seems like a predictable pattern. If the leader of a region gets "out of line" and doesn't directly follow the deep state, "they" try to find anything to besmear his image and do something to destabilize his region in preparation for takeover. The things the deep state does- psychopathic acts of terror are ironically blamed on those that refuse to be their puppets and this image is reinforced through biased media reports- who are controlled by the deep state.

Let's hope Russia and China can hold their own in the face of what's coming their way.
