I am attaching 2 photos from this year: the yearly wreath - this time with Mary and child - and a miniature hearth. The Christmas tree and poinsettia are from an another year. We are having a quiet, contemplative Christmas this year. Best season's greetings to all of you.
The same goes for me, except this year it's not exactly a Christmas tree, nor is it a lost Santa Claus moose that follows me and meows, certainly the closest thing to the spirit of Christmas on four legs.
On a peripheral note, Jonathan Pageau has an interesting video about the symbolism of Christmas Trees, and how they symbolize the entire cosmos in the abstract. He gets into powers and principalities a bit.
I’ve put up the same tree as per usual. I love having Christmas lights in the living room.
I invite anyone particularly those new to the forum in 2023 who wants to post a pic of their Christmas Tree to do so.
Here is our version for 2023. I watched some "tree trimming videos" to try and get some different ideas for using ribbon, etc. I'm going to the Dollar Store (now $1.25, lol) to get some cheap artificial flowers I can rip apart to fill in some gaps.
We´ll be celebrating Christmas with family and will be away for the whole Holidays, so I won´t be decorating the tree, but I did decorate a bit and, of course, pulled out my Christmas Advent wreath.
