Poland-Poland war - polish presidential election 2025

Nawrocki is quite the enigma he attests to Christianity but/and favors the European Union in some ways. He claims to be Polish first in his international stance. He made it his mission to destroy some 40 (or so) USSR statues in Poland; he thought of them as Russian propaganda. The Citizens that live nearer to Ukraine voted for Nawrocki (as his against the continued support of the Ukraine effort- he does not want to send Polish soldiers); meanwhile the Polish people in provinces far removed from Ukraine border voted for the alternative Candidate who was completely in full favor of EU directives. Poland is more important to the European Union than Romania. Seeing what took place in Romania and the assumption of EU rigging in the elections; it will be of interest how the EU responds to the seeming Polish 'setback'.

I didn't know where to post this, I chose this topic because it seems most related to me. It is about preschool education in Poland. My wife is a kindergarten teacher so I have “first-hand” information. Three years ago, the previous government stated for some reason, perhaps more developmental diseases in young children, that the profession of kindergarten and early school education teacher can be performed only by people who obtain a unified degree in this field, which is a rather unique requirement for the education system in Poland - such paths of study characterize the professions of lawyer and doctor, among others still. The current Minister of Education in Poland under the “new government” has just stated that due to the shortage of teachers she is introducing a law that allows anyone “off the street” to work in this profession without any directional education as long as that person receives permission from the office of the superintendent of education. We will see how the situation will develop, but at the moment it looks quite tragic. If it were not for the fact that I have a reasonably good job and my wife can have a joint budget with me, she would never support herself on her own salary from goverment job unless she could live rent-free with her parents for the rest of her life. And the wife is a specialist surdopedagogue after special education from the best pedagogical university in the country and with degree in SI from best SI academy in country.
Children with disabilities such as autism are increasing exponentially, the lack of staff causes most teachers to take children “for survival” because in many “normal” classes there are at least one or two abused individuals who require constant supervision and care. There is no time to help them “heal” to normal development. There is no time to attend to the development of “normal” children. Most parents treat the kindergarten as a storage room, belittle and push down information about their children's problems, and do not want to accept that their child needs help. The education system in Poland is weak, so the mandate of trust in the stereotypical teacher is low. Teachers with a vocation either change their profession because they can't look at it, or they break their hands and move to private institutions. If this continues, it is likely that a large part of the next generation will be severely developmentally disturbed, while in two generations we may already have forgotten what common sense and normal human development means. I thought it might be worth sharing this with you :-)
