Pro-China bias?

I've recently been wondering what China is actually up to and it has led to me trying to research more deeply their ideology and game plan. Niall posted a great comment on a SOTT article which talked about Confucianism. I found this video this morning and listened while cleaning up. I think it's a bit long winded and there may be much better stuff that cuts to the heart of the matter, but still I thought there were some very interesting points made. Particularly about the lack of virtue or morality in the west, and the need for a combination of wise leadership, the rule of law, and a virtuous, educated population.

It was also refreshing to hear English-speaking voices talk about how Democracy and One Person-One Vote is actually a silly concept if you want a society to make good decisions. I've always thought along those lines but in the West it is absolutely a sacred cow. All you have to do is read some YouTube comments on pretty much any video to see how deranged a lot of people's views and personalities are when they have anonymity. And they all have a vote!

Anyway I thought it was worth sharing since it has helped me get some clearer idea of the world.

Interesting book on China for Westerners (I haven't finished reading it but so far so good):

When China Rules the World: The End of the Western World and the Birth of a New Global Order

https://www.amazon.com/When-China-Rules-World-Western/dp/0143118005

It's got some history of China, cultural comparisons with its neighbours/the West, some economics, philosophical roots (including Confucianism of course), and an attempt to understand Chinese politics.
