Dear Professor, does the second GEOCHANGE report corroborate the conclusions of the first one about the planet's "global energy spike"?
Certainly, because the subsequent events in the geological environment have even more convinced us of the correctness of the conclusions made in the first report. The continuing growth of the number and energy of natural disasters and an almost complete concurrence of trends between statistical parameters of natural disasters and the forecasts presented in the report testify to this.
The so-called "global energy spike" clearly manifest itself in almost everything: in the growth of natural disasters ofall types, changes in the Earth's magnetic field, in particular, in the continuing acceleration of the drift of the magnetic poles and decreased magnetic field intensity, in the higher number of landslides and land subsidence registered in many countries, large deformations of the earth's surface, global change in the system of cyclones and anticyclones in the atmospheric circulation, in global climate change, etc. Changes of the planetary character occurring on the Earth, including those of many of its geophysical parameters and so on - we could continue but it will be hard for a non-specialist to understand. Meanwhile, all this will be covered in the second report which will also be sent to UN Secretary General, heads of state and authoritative international organizations in the near future.
You mentioned changes of geophysical parameters, which one of them alarms scientists most?
With great confidence I can say that it is the behavior of Earth's magnetic field. The continuing drift acceleration and motion path of Earth's north magnetic pole are making scientists get even closer to the idea that the preparation for a magnetic reversal is possibly underway. NASA experts do not rule that out as well.
The fact is that there are always permanent displacements of the magnetic poles and sometimes, tens and hundreds of millions of years ago, Earth would experience a very complex magnetic field distribution without any pronounced pole or with two or more paired poles in different places. This has been reflected in the nature of rock magnetization, during lava solidification in a large number of underwater volcanoes erupting within oceanic rift zones. Rift zones are underwater mountain ranges stretching in the middle of the World Ocean, where new young crust is formed.
Geological evidence suggests that the latest reversal of the magnetic poles when their positions were totally interchanged occurred about 780,000 years ago, while during the last 20 million years, this process took place with an average recurrence rate of 200 - 300 thousand years.
NASA specialists refuse to see anything dangerous in this and reduce everything to the possibility of observing beautiful light shows in the sky, similar to aurora borealis in Alaska, that people will be able to watch all over the globe. According to them, paleontological studies do not indicate the existence of a dramatic change of Earth's flora and fauna during magnetic reversals. To some extent I can agree with them - perhaps this process will not be pernicious to all living things as the magnetic field's intensity is not uniform now and it will not disappear everywhere during the reversal of the magnetic poles, but predicting how the magnetic field will be distributed at that time is virtually impossible.
On the other hand, the decreasing intensity of the magnetic field and the emergence of "gaps" in some regions of the magnetosphere will let them be entered by huge flows of cosmic matter and energy in the form of electromagnetic and corpuscular radiation, high-energy particle fluxes, which will affect not only the atmospheric circulation and climate change but also physiological condition of humans and the state of flora and fauna.
If we consider that along with that, there is a continuing significant increase in solar activity of the 24th eleven-year cycle, it becomes clear how dangerous the decrease in the intensity of the Earth's magnetic field is, since it is this field that protects all life from harmful cosmic radiation.
Flora and fauna may survive but it is hard to say now to what physiological changes in humans and animals, in living cells and on the human consciousness level a reversal of the magnetic poles and decrease in the magnetic field's intensity will lead. I personally believe in an optimistic outcome of this possible event for people, although I understand that its certain negative consequences are inevitable.
In the first report of the GEOCHANGE Committee, 1998 was indicated as an approximate starting date of the "global energy spike"; can you tell us about the possible ending date of this process? Anyway, what is this process associated with?
Yes, because now we have an understanding of what influenced the process of dramatic intensification of the internal and atmospheric energy of our planet. Full completion of the "global energy spike" is expected by 2026; however, a significant fall in the number and energy of natural disasters will be observed as early as in 2016.
Previously we assumed that this process is exclusively of "solar-terrestrial" nature and reflects the impact of increased solar activity on internal processes at the level of the Earth's core. But now, thanks to the involvement of scientists from other fields of science including biology and astrophysics in preparations for the report, it has become apparent that the currently observed events are of galactic scale and are directly related to the position of the solar system in our galaxy, the Milky Way. It is this position that has a major impact on the formation of geological megacycles during which planet-scale biodiversity change is observed. Not an entirely normal "behavior" of the magnetic poles of the Sun points to the global character of the changes in nature as well. According to some American and Russian scientists, quite a number of anomalous changes of global physical parameters are also being simultaneously observed on other planets of our solar system. This is clear evidence confirming the galactic nature of the "global energy spike".
People are very scared of everything that is going on in nature and your predictions are a little comfort. Tell me straight; is this the "end of the world" predicted in the Maya calendar?
I do not think that the Maya calendar speaks of the end of the world this December in the sense that is implied by many people. In my opinion, it is a change of eras at the galactic level on the one hand, and certain changes in nature and civilization on the other. First of all, I want to say that humanity has already lived through almost half the cycle of the "global energy spike" on the planet, and although its peak is expected between late 2012 and 2014, we continue to live, though in great stress and with considerable losses from natural disasters.
I do not want to be insincere but it is my personal opinion based on a thorough scientific analysis. I suppose that between late 2012 and late 2014 there will be major geological and atmospheric changes on our planet, accompanied by a much higher number and energy of natural disasters than observed now. I think that after 2016 the geological nature of our planet is going to somewhat change, perhaps, some larger islands will disappear, the continental coastline will be altered, and inundation of large areas the level of which is lower than the conventionally accepted sea level cannot be ruled out. But if people know beforehand what problems their region is faced with, they can prepare in advance exactly for the danger which is most likely to hit the given area: earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, etc.
How exactly do you suggest people should prepare for natural disasters and learn how to survive?
Not only should governments of all countries come together under the auspices of the UN to develop a unified strategy and tactics of action in case events in nature turn to the worst. Ordinary people around the world should, using the Internet global network, build a community of people striving for salvation. There must be information environment within which people will have rapid and accurate information about all disasters in the world, about what to do during certain disasters and how to prepare for them in advance. It is also important to know how to act in the aftermath of disasters. People need to share with each other their experiences of survival in different emergency situations. And this possibility is already real.
The fact is that the International Committee GEOCHANGE in collaboration with a number of other international organizations within the ArkNow.net project has created an unusual information space. It combines social networking, blogs and powerful information system where one can get online information about all natural disasters occurring at the time of viewing and forecasts for some of them, including short-term forecasts for high-risk strong earthquake areas, provided by the Global Network for the Forecasting of Earthquakes (GNFE, London), which have become available for the first time in the world. The motto of the ArkNow.net social network is "Our salvation is in our own hands".
Thank you for the interesting conversation.
