Putin on TV: Documentaries and TV appearances by the Russian president

Re: The Unknown Vladimir Putin

Apparently, CNN has a new documentary on Putin that I was unaware of? Has anyone viewed it?

Kremlin spokesman says Putin yet to see new CNN documentary on him

Tues. March 14, 2017 - Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet seen the new CNN documentary on him, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday. However, he added that according to the documentary’s fragments, it was biased and, to a great extent, fictional.

When asked if the president had already seen the documentary dubbed The Most Powerful Man in the World , Peskov answered in the negative noting that the documentary aired at night." Naturally, it would be too optimistic to believe that some media outlet would be able to break through the framework of the hysterical emotional background that unfortunately prevails in America towards our country," Peskov stressed, sharing his opinion about what the upcoming CNN documentary about Russian President Vladimir Putin titled: "The Most Powerful Man in the World" would be.

"Apparently, this is caused by the fact that the documentary, in all appearances, has been made with a biased slant and in line with the further demonization of our country and our president," the Kremlin spokesman emphasized, noting that he had not yet watched the new documentary and is looking forward to the opportunity of doing so. The Kremlin spokesman who was interviewed for the new documentary pointed out that the one thing "deserving a positive mark" was the fact that its author had provided the possibility "to outline our position on the issues that were touched upon in it."

The Russian presidential spokesman added that the documentary’s author, Fareed Zakaria, was well-known to the Kremlin as he had already met with the Russian leader and had been a moderator at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Russian presidential spokesman also said that judging by the documentary’s fragments, it met the Kremlin’s expectations: "It is completely in line with the recent hysterical allegations which are absolutely groundless, based on fictional beliefs." Peskov added that in the CNN documentary "these beliefs are often presented by people who have already taken back seats."

"This is why it is a rather biased documentary, but there is nothing new in it," the presidential spokesman concluded adding that the Kremlin had tried to clarify its stance with some glimpses of it making it into the documentary.

According to Russia’s presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the documentary has been made in line with "further demonization" of Russia and its president.

Mon. March 13, 2017 - Russia’s Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that he expected CNN’s forthcoming documentary on the Russian leader to be biased but was thankful to the documentary’s author for the possibility to make the Kremlin’s position clear.

"Naturally, it would be too optimistic to believe that some media outlet would be able to break through the framework of the hysterical emotional background that unfortunately prevails in America towards our country," Peskov stressed, sharing his opinion about what the upcoming CNN documentary about Russian President Vladimir Putin titled: "The Most Powerful Man in the World" would be.

Re: The Unknown Vladimir Putin

I'm not quite sure about this, but according to the following SOTT article (from Hollywood Reporter) the documentary has already been aired on Monday March 13:

A load of hysterical nonsense, Western propaganda at its finest.

I agree -- it's galling how transparent the bias is. It's sad that many people will probably swallow it whole without checking any of the narrative.

Re: The Unknown Vladimir Putin

Geebus. I could only get half way though it. In a just world the Kremlin wouldn't give Fareed Zakaria the time of day, let alone grant him any more interviews. What a slime.

I reckon ya'll could be putting your comments under the video.

The opposition seriously complained about Russian debt against the guy who brought it down to 170% of it's GDP to 9%. Which is one of the lowest debts in the World.

CNN fakenews presents: More Russiaphobia. I reckon most people will only 'see' the video to vote it down.

It was good to read some of the comments acknowledging how dumb and nonsense this "documentary" is. And how you can smell propaganda from miles away. I also noticed how the second YouTube video provided above, has more down votes than good ones  Just minutes from the beginning I was asking myself: really?! The music, the way the narrator talks, everything, was sort of like a "horror" movie trying to portray the "horrible" monster Putin "is".

I imagine that being released Monday at 9:00pm, it was prime-time so it's very sad that I'm sure lots of people were watching it... but again, MSM knows how to move to reach more people as possible, and I'm guessing they will also try to push it through as many channels as possible. :headbash:

Two uploads of the CNN documentary with the most viewcount:
Over 105K views

Over 30K views

I used Beau's apt sentence as comment.

I commented as well! It's so infuriating that they keep pushing this nonsense.

Re: The Unknown Vladimir Putin

I´ve been tempted several times to turn off the video about this 'the most powerful man of the world' nonsense.

It´s just so cunning, and discouraging at times, how easy-going all this propaganda works. It´s when I watch these over simplified historic short-movies that I´m reminded of the 'bad' face of god and what a huge endeavor it is to see it at play as it is, as part of the whole. Still, it´s hard for me to swallow suggestive music and MSM memes instead of hard facts are all you need for the majority of well-intended believers to fall in the trap. The hollywoodian art of making movies and picturing idyllic lives is now taking more seriously than ever its toll on so many charismatic and romantic followers. :-[

Re: The Unknown Vladimir Putin

Whatever floats one's boat, but I just can't be bothered watching this crap. I know it's gonna be lies and distortions, so why bother? Also, it almost makes me physically ill to watch this garbage.
Nevertheless, we do need members who can monitor this sludge and comment on it. My hat's off to all of you.
