Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

From zerohedge:

Medvedev Says US, NATO Won't Intervene If Russia Uses Nuke
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday said he doesn’t believe the US and NATO would intervene if Russia launched a nuclear strike in Ukraine over fears of a "nuclear apocalypse" despite recent comments from US officials.

Medvedev, a former Russian president, also reiterated that Moscow believes it has the right to use nuclear weapons if Russia’s existence is threatened.

"Let’s imagine that Russia is forced to use its most formidable weapons against the Ukrainian regime, which has committed a large-scale act of aggression that is endangering the very existence of our state. I believe that NATO will not directly interfere in the conflict even in this scenario," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

The former Russian president said that the supplying of weapons to Ukraine was just a "business" for the Western powers and that their security is much more important than "the fate of a dying Ukraine."

He said US and European "demagogues are not going to die in a nuclear apocalypse. That is why they will swallow the use of any weapon in the current conflict."

Addressing the recent warnings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and other officials, Medvedev said Moscow’s position on nuclear weapons is "not a bluff."

Putin warned last week that Russia could use nuclear weapons to defend its "territorial integrity," and Russian territory is set to expand into Ukraine.
Referendums on joining Russia concluded Tuesday in the breakaway Donbas republics of Luhansk and Donetsk and in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine. Russian-installed authorities reported overwhelming support for joining Russia, and Russian lawmakers are expected to move quickly to annex the territories.

Umm - a nuclear game of 🐔?

Russia Says Military Operation to Continue at Least Until Donetsk Is Liberated

Russia said on Wednesday that its “special military operation” in Ukraine will continue at least until it captures all of the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.

Donetsk is home to the self-declared Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which was first established in 2014, following the US-backed coup in Kyiv. The DPR and other Russian-controlled areas in Ukraine are expected to be absorbed by Moscow after referendums that concluded on Tuesday.

“The least I can say with an absolute clarity is that you all know well that not the whole territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic has been liberated. We are speaking here about the territory within its 2014 borders,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Russian and the DPR currently control a little more than half of Donetsk. When ordering a partial mobilization last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin made clear that his military campaign will still be focused on this area.

Referendums were also held in Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, and authorities reported results that showed a huge majority of voters want to join Russia. Russian officials have said they will move quickly to absorb the territories, and Putin is expected to address Russia’s parliament on the issue this Friday.

The US and NATO have denounced the referendum as “shams” and said they won’t recognize the territories as Russian.

ANOTHER GAS PIPELINE BLOWN UP
Another natural gas pipeline has apparently been blown up.

Reports are now flooding-in of a massive pipeline explosion in (or near) the northern boundary of Kherson Oblast, one of the regions where a recently finished Public Referendum saw that region vote to leave Ukraine and join Russia.

Reports are sketchy right now, and information is hard to come by, but according to maps of the gas line network inside Ukraine, this particular pipeline is likely to be the SOYUZ pipeline from Russia to Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

Again, information is sketchy right now.

What __is__ confirmed is that there has been a massive gas pipeline explosion inside Ukraine.

UPDATE 7:58 PM EDT --

More information has come in and it now appears that the gas line involved is FED BY the SOYUZ gas pipeline, but it is NOT the SOYUZ pipeline itself. The gas line involved is now reported to the be single pipeline that feeds natural gas to . . . CRIMEA.

US Headed For Serious Natural Gas Shortage and High Prices This Winter, Experts Warn
This article was originally published by Cassie B. at Natural News.

Recent headlines touted a drop in the price of natural gas, but a severe shortage and much higher prices could well be on the horizon in the U.S., experts warn.

The price of natural gas fell by almost a dollar per million British thermal units after railway companies and trade unions reached a tentative deal that averted a strike that could have been devastating. However, it appears that prices at home and abroad will spike during the winter as inventories remain well below seasonal averages and a major shortage looms.

Germany Must Cut Natural Gas Consumption To Avoid Winter Shortages
Germany's gas consumption rose too much last week to levels higher than in previous years, and without considerable gas conservation—including from households—Europe's biggest economy will find it difficult to avoid gas shortages this winter, Germany's Federal Network Agency, Bundesnetzagentur, said on Thursday.

Starting from today, the agency—the regulator to impose rationing in case of severe shortages—will publish weekly figures about gas consumption in Germany. Last week's consumption from businesses and households at 483 GWh/week was well above the average seen throughout the 2018 to 2021 period when it was 422 GWh/week. Last week, German gas consumption rose by 14.5 percent compared to the average of the previous years, mostly because that week was colder than comparable weeks in the past four years.

However, the savings needed to avoid gas shortages should be achieved regardless of temperatures, the German regulator said today.

Drones seen at a Danish gas field 200 km west of Esbjerg
Energy company TotalEnergies has observed 'unauthorized' drone activity at the Halfdan B gas field.
This could be black-mail. Or jokers, though 200 km out is not for amateurs, is it?
It should be possible to call in a plane and find out, but perhaps they do not want to know? Many questions should be possible to answer, unless it is high strangeness.
NB! Esbjerg is in West Denmark on the shore of the North Sea. 200 km out is between Denmark and the UK.

High energy costs are also sparking a fertilizer shortage and in turn, food shortages.
Major Florida fertilizer hub took DIRECT HIT by Hurricane Ian, produces HALF the phosphate fertilizer for America
(Natural News) Hurricane Ian is just hours away (as of this writing) from barreling straight through an area of Florida where at least 50 percent of the nation’s phosphate fertilizer supply is mined and produced.

Mosaic Co. operates numerous mines in an area east of Tampa and north-northeast of Fort Myers where the Category 4 hurricane – Ian’s maximum recorded wind speeds were just a few miles per hour (mph) short of reaching Category 5 – made landfall, bringing with it catastrophic damage.

The storm surge alone is reportedly causing catastrophic damage to Sanibel, Englewood, Venice and other areas, not to mention all the heavy winds and rain. And that very same carnage is headed straight for fertilizer alley (though at that point it will admittedly be slightly less severe).

Florida’s fertilizer alley is replete with phosphate rock assets, which are turned into fertilizers such as diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP) – check out the company report to learn more.

Chuck Watson, a disaster modeler with Enki Research, indicated that Mosaic’s New Wales plant is “right in the middle of the damage swatch.” He added that the plant could “be out for weeks,” depending on the level of damage.

With food prices already sky-high and energy issues depleting global fertilizer supplies, this unfortunate new development is nothing short of ominous for the global food supply. (Related: The United Nations is expecting grain production worldwide to plummet by 40 percent due to lack of fertilizer.)
[...]
“Fertilizer can make or break crop production,” reports Bloomberg.

“Global food prices have touched records in recent months as inflation ripples through economies and hunger levels rise. The cost of growing food in the U.S. is set to rise by the most ever in 2022 as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine put a huge percentage of the world’s supply at risk.”

A U.S. duty on Russian and Moroccan phosphate producers means that the nation could have to buy expensive imports from elsewhere, should Ian devastate fertilizer alley to the point that production goes offline for an extended period of time.

Up until now, the fertilizer crisis has mostly affected places outside America’s borders. That now appears to be changing, thanks to Ian.

The latest reports reveal that Mosaic evacuated several of its Florida operations in anticipation of Ian’s arrival. All facilities, the company claims, were secured before being abandoned due to the storm.

The affected facilities are expected to remain closed for a least a week after Ian passes, with an expected revenue decrease of between $240 million and $300 million.

Ammonia imports from Yara International and CF Industries at Tampa are also expected to slow, depending on Ian’s aftermath.

“Think the food crisis is bad now? Just wait,” wrote a commenter at Natural News about the fertilizer crisis, which is about to reach new heights thanks to Ian.

“The fertilizer problem will significantly drop crop harvests and that will raise the price and availability of food dramatically starting next year.”
I'm wondering about the orange groves - were they severely damaged/destroyed as well?

Somewhere in the past I posted a map showing the likelihood of nuclear annihilation and my area of Ohio was clearly in the kill zone. When I first saw it, I burst out laughing! If your number is up, it's up!!!

Yet, here we are again:

Health Ranger Report: Steve Quayle tells Mike Adams which US cities would be hit first if nuclear war breaks out
(Natural News) Steve Quayle has warned the public which cities would be targeted first for annihilation during a nuclear war involving the United States.

In a recent interview with the Health Ranger Mike Adams on the “Health Ranger Report,” Quayle said the objective of America’s enemies would be to take out the heads of the country’s governing structures and to prevent its remnants from continuing its essential operations.

In the U.S., agencies are able to continue operating under disaster circumstances. This is known as the continuity of government (COG) principle.

“Washington, D.C., New York … and every COG base [will be hit first],” said Quayle. He added that the Russians have already admitted that in the event of a nuclear war they will conduct multiple strikes on key U.S. cities and other targets to prevent the government from reforming.

“I don’t have to speculate. The Russians have told them continuity of government base or the deep underground military bases [will be hit first].”

Other experts agree with Quayle. Dr. Irwin Redlener, a professor at Columbia University‘s Mailman School of Public Health, noted that four other cities aside from Washington, D.C. and New York City have the highest risk of being targeted first in a nuclear war: Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston.

Redlener warned that not only are these cities some of the largest and densest in the country, but they are also home to critical infrastructure, including energy plants, financial hubs, government facilities and wireless transmission systems. This makes these six cities very important targets to be hit first.

In 2017, Russian state media noted that other key targets for Russian nukes include the Pentagon, Camp David, Jim Creek Naval Radio Station in Washington state, Fort Ritchie in Maryland and McClellan Air Force Base in California.
[...]
Quayle pointed out that the American people don’t know the U.S. is walking toward a nuclear war because the government refuses to be truthful about the country’s military activities.

“I want people to understand: There is no honesty, there is no truth, there is no transparency,” said Quayle. “There is no desire for the American people to even have a clue of what [really is going on].”

Hmm - this may up the ante on my locale making the list:

Well, there's this:

Gas wars: Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on a gas pipeline in the Kherson region

Yesterday, 16: 11
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again showed that today's Ukraine has essentially turned into a terrorist state. On Thursday night, Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on the main gas pipeline in the Kherson region, as a result of which Novaya Kakhovka and the Kakhovka district were left without gas, and electrical networks were damaged.
After a rocket attack on the night of September 29, the main high-pressure gas pipeline was damaged in the area of the settlement. Brylyovka and power grids in the city of Tavriysk, a satellite town of Nova Kakhovka
the district administration said.

Emergency crews of "Khersongaz" cut off the gas supply in the settlements of the Novokakhovka urban district and the Kakhovka district. How long the emergency work will last and whether there are any casualties as a result of the shelling has not yet been reported.

Not seeing any other report.

A new development:

Belarus threatens to deploy 100,000 troops in Ukraine
Belarus has allegedly threatened to deploy 100,000 troops in Ukraine unless Kyiv withdraws its forces from the ‘new Russian territories’ after the referendums.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the Belarus government in Minsk today, Thursday, September 29, announced that unless Kyiv withdraws all of its military forces from the four new regions of Russia, it will deploy 100,000 troops in Ukraine.

They were referring of course to the four occupied regions of Ukraine where the recent ‘referendums’ were held in which people allegedly voted to join the Russian Federation. They also revealed that railway stations and airports in the country are being prepared for recruiting citizens into the military.

One wonders why the western media never seems to mention or use the „radical“ words of Medvedev in their efforts to blame/defame Russia and/or Putin? Why is that? Wouldn’t what he says in recent months be a perfect opportunity to twist things and use it against Russia/Putin? One possibility could be that they don’t want to give it any attention because it is often so frank and thereby could lead people to wake up and/or question the western narrative? Or how else to explain it? Or, in order not to escalate the situation too far? As stated earlier, among other possibilities, it could be that Medvedev’s words are approved by Putin and/or what Putin would like to say himself, if he could.
