Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Both, Lukashenko and Prigozhin confirmed the result of their day-long negotiations: Wagner goes back and its fighters won't be punished.

The end of the confrontation is very good news, very.

I hope that those who caused the conflict and who have not been seen for two days will be let down, at least retired. It is said that the demand to remove Gerasimov and Shoigu was on Prigozhin's list of demands.

Clearly, this is not the end, since such stories do not end this way. I can imagine how upset our enemies are.

Thanks to Dumin and Lukashenko for their efforts. Thanks to the people of Rostov and all the inhabitants of the settlements through which the PMCs passed. Everyone treated the soldiers with sympathy and the situation with understanding. Thanks to all residents of Russia for their restraint. Thank you to my subscribers. In the most difficult moments, you showed humanity and good feelings.

The combination of strength and kindness is ours, Russian. We know how to fight, but we also know how to forgive and make peace.

Thank you to the soldiers of all units, regardless of affiliation, that they did not start shooting at each other. It was a wise decision.

I think we were able to keep Russia together from falling into bloody turmoil because of it.
Today was a hard day. Now we can rest.

So... You can take a city, blow something here and there, go to the capital, terrorise whole country and... no consequence.

I don't get it.
Not only that, imagine the sort of distraction he has caused to the soldiers on the front lines who are no doubt wondering what is happening rather than concentrating on the conflict with Ukraine.

Absolute disaster. Made Russia look like a 3rd world country.

All seems rather amateurish if you ask me. Doesn't look good for the Russian government even it's a storm in a tea cup. Shows lack of authority and susceptibility to insubordination. Will only embolden its enemies and prolong the conflict.

In a way yes (although Russians in general from all positions rallied and supported Putin), but maybe they just don't want to shed blood and go on with accusations that will only bring more unnecessary tension at this time, that has value too.
Perhaps there will be trials and investigations... after all this began with alleged attacks, it remains to be seen the agreements reached as well.

If he refers to the contracts that were supposedly cornering him, in a way he managed to save the Wagner organization somewhat and the Russian government perhaps gained more control over it.

Prigozhin says it's over:

"They were going to dismantle PMC Wagner. We came out on 23 June to the March of Justice. In a day, we walked to nearly 200km away from Moscow. In this time, we did not spill a single drop of blood of our fighters. Now, the moment has come when blood may spill. That’s why, understanding the responsibility for spilling Russian blood on one of the sides, we are turning back our convoys and going back to field camps according to the plan."

I understand, but at least leader has to be arrested and put on trial. So far it looks like the game between oligarchs with no respect to the law at all.

You are right - maybe it is too early to judge. There is still no official statement from Russian gov so far.

So for now... and although this time it is more indirectly, again we have a case of trolling in a way from Prigozhin-Russia to the West(...)
Mega trolling. I guess that the goals of this psy op were achieved already. Experience is teaching us that is totally irellevant how this will look in the eyes of the West and that Russia really doesnt give a damn for that. The West will talk bad of Russia anyway, so why not a bit of trolling and distraction from russian side.....

Only thing I wonder is how long it would pass till Prigozhin is acquited.

Andrew Korybko has an article out on Substack about the 'coup'.

To continue with his “anti-corruption” campaign after President Putin told him to stop and not recklessly risk provoking internecine conflict amidst Russia’s existential conflict with the West proves that Prigozhin does indeed want to carry out the coup that he’s accused by the authorities of attempting despite his denial.

Peskov commented on the situation:

- "The criminal case against Prigozhin will be dropped, he himself will go to Belarus".

- "Part of the Wagner PMC fighters, who initially refused to participate in Prigozhin's "march", will sign contracts with the Russian Defence Ministry".

- "Personnel changes in the Ministry of Defence were not discussed during the talks with Prigozhin".
