Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

And this best illustrates the plans of the Kyiv regime to wage a "war to the last Ukrainian" in which it is ready to very easily sacrifice its prisoners and their relatives. Needless to say, in such conditions, the authorities of the so-called Ukraine are also not interested in ceasefires.

Russian Battlegroup Tsentr troops have liberated Sviridonovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

"As a result of active combat operations, units of Battlegroup Tsentr have liberated the settlement of Sviridonovka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

In addition, Battlegroup Tsentr struck formations of Ukraine’s 47th and 151st Mechanized, 68th Jaeger, 111th Territorial Defense, and 15th National Guard Brigades in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Kalinovo, Ptichiye, Novoekonomicheskoye, and Dolinovka in the DPR, and repulsed two counterattacks by a unit of the Ukrainian National Police’s Lyut Assault Brigade.

"The enemy's losses amounted to more than 500 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, five utility vehicles, one US-made 155 mm M777 howitzer, one 152 mm Msta-B howitzer, three 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery pieces, three 122 mm D-30 howitzers, two 100 mm Rapira guns, and one US-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station," the Defense Ministry added.

Russia’s Battlegroup Zapad defeated the formations of five Ukrainian brigades and repelled one counterattack over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said, adding that Kiev’s losses amounted to up to 440 soldiers.

"Units of Battlegroup Zapad took more advantageous lines and positions as well as inflicted losses on formations of the Ukranian 14th, 30th, 67th, 440th mechanised brigades, and 117th Territorial Defense Brigade near Petropavlovka, Tabayevka, Novoplatonovka (Kharkov region), Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic) and Torskoye (Donetsk People's Republic)," the ministry said.

The Battlegroup Sever has inflicted damage to Ukrainian brigades in the Kharkov region, eliminating up to 90 Ukrainian troops, while Battlegroup Yug improved the tactical situation, and Kiev lost up to 420 servicepeople, the ministry said.

Moreover, Russia's Battlegroup Vostok took more advantageous positions and eliminated up to 100 troops and one tank, the ministry also said.

Additionally, Ukraine lost up to 80 soldiers in fighting with Russia's Battlegroup Dnepr, the ministry said.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that the escalation from Ukraine is pushing Russia to take asymmetric measures, including the use of nuclear weapons.

"Ukraine's escalation in the Kursk region is an attempt to push Russia into asymmetric actions, let's say the use of nuclear weapons." Lukashenko said.

Iskander tactical ballistic missile systems in Belarus are ready to fire missiles equipped with nuclear warheads, Alexander Lukashenko said.

"These are the machines currently ready for strikes with tactical nuclear weapons … These are the machines ready to fire missiles with nuclear warheads," Lukashenko said in an interview.

The Belarusian leader said Ukraine had deployed over 120,000 troops on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, a move that Minsk retaliated with boosting forces along the entire border.

The Belarusian-Ukrainian border is mined like never before, the Ukrainian armed forces will be able to cross it only with huge losses, Lukashenko added.

Moreover, Ukrainian drones are constantly violating the southeastern border of Belarus, Lukashenko added.

According to Lukashenko, the defense of the western border of Belarus has been worked out by Minsk and Moscow, and if necessary, this plan could be changed into an offensive one.

Lukashenko has said that negotiations on Ukraine should start where they ended in Istanbul.

"Let's sit down at the negotiating table and stop this fighting - neither the Ukrainian people, nor the Russians, nor the Belarusians need it... We need to sit down at the negotiating table, the immediate question is where to start. The right thing is to start from where we left off in Istanbul," Lukashenko said.

Ukraine Destroys 3rd Bridge In Russia's Kursk, Zelensky Stresses He'll Keep Territory

by Tyler Durden
Monday, Aug 19, 2024

"Russia’s Investigative Committee on Monday announced that yet another bridge located along the River Seym, which winds through the Kursk region, was destroyed in a Ukrainian attack."

"In follow-up to this Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined his stated aims in detail:"

"It is now our primary task in defensive operations overall: to destroy as much Russian war potential as possible and conduct maximum counteroffensive actions. This includes creating a buffer zone on the aggressor’s territory," he said in his evening address.
"He also explained how the hundreds of Russian troops captured in Kursk since the brazen cross-border operation began on Aug.6 will be used to bolster the countries "exchange fund" - a reference to the ability to get Ukrainians back through prisoner swaps."

"Though impossible to confirm, Ukraine is now claiming to have seized 440 square miles of Russian territory."

LOL, Sky News is bankrupt in its ideas about portraying Ukraine's minute gains as a victory.

Medvedev rules out peace talks with Kiev until enemy 'completely defeated'.
The politician also hinted at those behind the attack on the Kursk Region, making unflattering comments about a former British prime minister
MOSCOW, August 21. /TASS/. Moscow will not hold talks with Ukraine after Kiev’s attack on the Kursk Region, not until the enemy is completely defeated, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.

"Everything fell into place after the neo-Nazis carried out this act of terrorism against the Kursk Region. Idle talk about wonderful peace by unauthorized mediators is over. Now, everyone understands - even if no one says it publicly - that there will be no talks until the enemy is completely defeated," he wrote on Telegram.

"In my view, the risk - albeit theoretical - of our country getting trapped in negotiations at some point, showed its face," Medvedev pointed out, adding that he was talking about "the premature and unnecessary peace talks proposed by the international community, which were imposed on the Kiev regime." The Russian Security Council deputy chairman questioned the prospects of such talks, or what results they could produce.

Medvedev also hinted at those behind the attack on the Kursk Region, making unflattering comments about a former British prime minister. "The filthy bastard with a disgusting face and tousled blond hair, who comes from the country where the terrorist operation was prepared, need not celebrate. His country has made things worse for the territory of former Ukraine that it patronizes: there will now be more money thrown down the tube, much more destroyed equipment and far more coffins. Now, let the unfortunate Ukrainian slaves passionately kiss the blood-covered hands of their Anglo-Saxon masters, the necrophiles who are torturing them," the Russian Security Council deputy chief concluded.

Germany issued a travel advisory on Aug. 23, warning that Russia may intensify attacks against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities on Aug. 24, Ukraine's Independence Day.

The United States Embassy in Kyiv issued a similar warning on Aug. 21.

"Around Ukrainian Independence Day on Aug. 24, 2024, there may be increased rocket and aerial attacks on the urban centers, especially the capital Kyiv," Germany's Foreign Office said.

The statement urged German nationals to avoid traveling to Ukraine, or leave Ukraine if currently residing there, due to the heightened threat.

The U.S. warned of "an increased risk of both nighttime and daytime Russian drone and missile attacks" on Aug. 24 and cautioned residents to monitor local media, identify air raid shelters, and take shelter immediately in the event of an alert.

Ukraine celebrates Independence Day on Aug. 24, the day the country's Declaration of Independence was issued in 1991. The holiday has gained increased popular support and significance since Russia's invasion of Donbas in 2014.

Russia has been known to intensify drone and missile attacks against Ukraine during national holidays. Ukraine's 2023-2024 New Year celebrations were marked by a series of large-scale attacks against Kyiv and other cities.

U.S. President Joe Biden said on Aug. 23 that the U.S. is planning to provide Ukraine with air defense missiles, counter-drone equipment, and anti-armor missiles, among other materiel, in a new military aid package on Independence Day.

This popped up when I was watching Larry Johnson’s channel. As a rule I never listen to the MSM (for my mental health), however the clickbait title was enough for me to watch about 45 seconds. I also skimmed the comments. Do people really believe this stuff? Is it really that bad? My Lord! I knew people were delusional but…wowzuh!!

the Western terminal face is here. Its not just Amerika's greatest financial crush in the history of the United States , now irreversible, but Ukraine's future which appears to be the garbage can. Even though I am skeptical of most of what I hear, and trust only what I see, and only when it has been corroborated by more than two trusted informants, For Ukraine it is over. Russia was not caught unawares but is in active defense, not only containing the thousands of enemies and leading them into cauldrons but also eliminating the old military hardware which is Amerika's and Nato's signature. Demilitarization is taking place with a vengeance and denazification also. Only a fool would military storm into Russia and hope to come out alive. Badly wounded yes . The rest will be in coffins. Whoever planned this debacle has not learned historical lessons and is therefore a fool. Russia has clearly wiped out whatever pretensions the West has, which is now now facing a losing war that brings it a spiraling inflation and the ire of the Russians. The same patterns of emotion have cursed humans since the Fall. Few show interest in history and even fewer understand its patterns of repetition with only service to self controlling the process. And even fewer navigate these challenging times where the despicable powers that rule plan our demise.

here is a link to follow the ground situation. It seems to be more complicated than what russians says.
Can I ask for an explanation in a nutshell? The title of the given link does not look very convincing. Someone allegedly analyzed some creative materials and based on this draw conclusions about reality?
I can't watch YouTube, Russian authorities slowed it down so much that it's impossible to watch anything.

I was reading JFK Jr.'s speech and found this bit about Ukraine. Sums it up well if you ask me.
Source: Why I am suspending my campaign for President

I want to say a word about the Ukraine war. The military-industrial complex has provided us with the familiar comic-book justification that this war is a noble effort to stop supervillain Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and to thwart his Hitler-like march across Europe.

In fact, tiny Ukraine is a proxy in a geopolitical struggle initiated by the ambitions of the U.S. Neocons for U.S. global hegemony. I’m not excusing Putin for invading Ukraine. He had other options. But the war is Russia’s predictable response to the reckless Neocon project of extending NATO to encircle Russia.

The credulous media rarely explain to Americans that we unilaterally walked away from our two intermediate nuclear weapons treaties with Russia, and then put nuclear-ready Aegis missile systems in Romania and Poland, and that the Biden White House repeatedly spurned Russia’s offer to settle the dispute peacefully.

The Ukraine war began in 2014, when US agencies overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine and installed a handpicked pro-West government that launched a civil war against ethnic Russians in Ukraine.

In 2019, America walked away from a peace treaty, the Minsk agreement that had been negotiated by European leadership.

In April 2022, President Biden sent Boris Johnson to Ukraine to force President Zelensky to tear up a peace treaty with President Putin that would have brought peace and left Donbass and Ukraine as part of Ukraine.

President Biden stated that month that his objective in the war was regime change in Russia.

His Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, said that America’s purpose in the war was to exhaust the Russian army to degrade its capacity to fight anywhere else.

These objectives of course had nothing to do with what they were telling Americans about protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Since then, we have squandered the flower of Ukrainian youth. As many as 600,000 Ukrainian kids have died and Ukraine’s infrastructure is destroyed.

The war has been a disaster for our country. We squandered nearly $200 billion badly needed dollars. The Nord Stream pipeline sabotage and sanctions have destroyed Europe’s industrial base, which formed the bulwark of U.S. national security. We have pushed Russia into a disastrous alliance with China and Iran. We are closer to the brink of nuclear exchange than at any other time since 1962.

Our moral authority and our economy are in shambles, and the war gave rise to the emergence of BRICS, which now threatens to replace the dollar as the global reserve currency.

Judging by her bellicose, belligerent speech last night in Chicago, we can assume that President Harris will be an enthusiastic advocate for this and other Neocon military adventures.

President Trump says that he will reopen negotiations with Putin and end the war overnight. This alone would justify my support for his campaign.

Last summer, it looked like no candidate was willing to negotiate a quick end to the Ukraine war, to tackle the chronic disease epidemic, to protect free speech and restore our Constitutional freedoms, to clean corporate influence out of government, or to defy the Neocons and their agenda of endless military adventurism. But now, one of the two candidates has adopted these issues as his own, to the point where he has asked to enlist me in his administration to tackle those issues. I am speaking, of course, of Donald Trump.
(emphasis in bold is mine)

here is a link to follow the ground situation. It seems to be more complicated than what russians says.

not worth listening too for me. He is high on hyperbole and low on facts. If this is a successful Ukrainian op, what was it meant to do? It has not affected the Russian advance in the east Ukraine, rather that advance has sped up it seems. What are the complications you see at odds with what he Russians are saying (about Kursk, or Donbass?)

The bestiality of ukrops definitely has no boundaries. Already such a number of manifestations of this have been shown, from independent shelling of their own cities, hoping to blame Russia for this, from staged events for the same purpose, like Bucha, to torture chambers with electric chairs, and it would seem that there is nothing to be surprised about, but... Just look at what the Russian military found at the captured ukrops stronghold in the Kursk region.
For those who do not understand, I will explain that this is a brand, which was once branded cattle. Cattle have not been branded in this way for probably 40 years, but this thing is factory-made. What was the person who made it thinking about? What were the dreams of those who dragged this thing to Russian territory? These are rhetorical questions.
Kursk region, such a thing was found on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
