Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Russia launches huge attack on Ukraine days after ‘Spider Web’ drone raid

Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed a large-scale attack on military targets in Ukraine in response to what it described as “terrorist acts” by Kiev, including a drone strike on five Russian regions. The operation, executed in the early hours of June 6, 2025, used high-precision weapons and drones to hit weapons factories, drone assembly workshops, pilot training centers and weapons arsenals on Ukrainian territory.

Targets hit: According to the statement, all targets were destroyed, including key facilities of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
Means used: cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones, with a total of 94 missiles and 193 drones launched.
Reported damage: The attack affected energy infrastructure, transport networks and attack drone assembly workshops, flight personnel training centers, as well as weapons and military equipment warehouses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Kherson, two administrative buildings were destroyed.
Scope of the attack: explosions were recorded in Kiev, Lutsk, Chernigov, Ternopol and several areas of Kiev oblast. In addition, in the city of Lvov and in Khmelnitskiy oblast.

Russia has been bombing Ukraine today. CNN reports with video of scared and screaming women and children. Trump spoke with Putin and said that he, (Putin), may just have to keep on fighting - Trump backing away from involvement in the conflict. Leon Panetta, former director of the CIA is interviewed and asked about Trump's current stance on the conflict. Panetta, of course, opined that Trump's implicit withdrawal will amount to a lack of support for Ukraine and the [holy] war effort. Saying Trump is giving Putin a license to continue these horrible attacks. These guys are all like 'dummy terminals' just downloading and broadcasting the same message.

I don't watch, listen to, or read CNN (I'm not bragging about it, just as a fact), but even without this, it's clear that CNN didn't broadcast the next two news items in any way.
Ukraine has adopted a bill on military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for citizens over 60 years old, now the older generation will also have to die for Zelensky?

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a bill on the mobilization of citizens over 60 years of age, writes Tencent. Now even old people are caught at the entrances or in polyclinics. "Any living man will be dragged to the trench," readers are horrified.

On Wednesday, June 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a draft law on military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for citizens over 60 years of age under a contract. If the law is passed, it will change the recruitment system: now the entire Ukrainian people will be heartlessly and inexorably mobilized.
The logic of "coercion" behind the "voluntary nature" of the law
At first glance, this is a legal innovation in the form of conscription for military service under a contract, but in reality, the framework of legal norms has not been observed for a long time. After its entry into force, the law will significantly facilitate the work of the Territorial Recruitment Center of the National Conscription Service of Ukraine in implementing the monthly recruitment plan. The ultimate goal is clear: fill the trenches.
In Ukraine, there is much evidence that the so-called "voluntary" system of joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine uses forced methods to achieve the goals of mobilization. Men who have changed their seventh decade will not be able to avoid their fate: they will either be picked up right at the entrances, or registered in polyclinics, from which they will be accompanied to the military enlistment office to sign a contract. Then they will be forced to put on a uniform and sent to the battlefield.
The number of people mobilized: myths of the President and administration
The bill hides a large-scale expenditure of human resources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated in the media that "mobilization is proceeding according to plan" and that the ranks are being replenished by 25,000-27,000 recruits every month, but the real number is less than 10,000. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to hold on at the expense of an almost gutted society.
The fate of the surviving Soviet citizens: from the square to the trench
This time, the mobilization list did not include young people, but the "last generation" that found the Soviet Union. Some of them raised the banner of the "European Dream" on Independence Square in Kiev and now they will have to personally "lay bricks and tiles" on the ruins of the war. The generation will be the "last fuel supply".
Mash: Ukraine refused to take the bodies of dead servicemen

Ukraine did not accept six thousand bodies of its dead servicemen as part of the exchange it agreed with Russia in Istanbul. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

According to the channel, representatives of the Russian Federation arrived at the border with the bodies of the dead, but the Ukrainians refused to accept them and did not give the reason.

The Telegram channel also reports that Russia agrees to carry out the exchange at any moment.

The bodies will be sent to the border with Belarus with the help of 150 specialized vehicles from Rostov, where there are special refrigerated hangars.

Я не смотрю, не слушаю, не читаю CNN (я этим не хвалюсь, просто как факт), но и без этого понятно, что две следующие новости CNN никак не транслировал.

Good idea. I don't believe anything on CNN but sometimes I check to see what flavor propaganda of they are spewing. Their lies have an effect because of the power of the media platforms and their ability to repeat the same drivel over and over again without any apparent qualms or embarrassment. Panetta was the mouthpiece for the PTB and as such we know that they are still charging straight ahead over a cliff.

Following of what was previously published. Here they explain the probable reason for Ukropsky's refusal to take the corpses of his soldiers.
Today the Ukrainian side refused to accept the first 1,200 of the 6,000 bodies of servisemen. The refrigerated trucks left for the agreed section of the border, but before they reached it, the order came - to turn around, because the Ukrainian side refused to accept the corpses.
Each body of the serviseman is minus 15 million hryvnias for Kiev. A total of $ 400 million for 6,000 corpses. Zelensky definitely doesn't need it now.

Now for the deserters. Here you can only be glad that so many people managed to avoid the meat grinder.
AFU updated the record for deserters. In May, 19,956 people deserted from the armed forces of Ukraine. In fact, more defected, but this number is official. The previous record was 18,331 people in April. At the same time, for the whole of 2025, "ludolovs" were able to find only 2,732 deserters, i.e. 3% of those who escaped.

Even the organizers of all this ukropsky farce notice the "dirt". I wonder if they realize how "dirty" these creatures can be. After all, Zelensky already tried to warn Trump at their meeting in the White House, when he said:: You will feel it, even though you are separated by an ocean.
Kiev is betting on a "dirty war" by conducting covert operations, following the example of the recent attack on Russian air bases - The Washington Post.
It's all taken from here

FWIW:

I read something recently about the 6,000 dead Ukrainians. Speculative of course, but it suggested the bodies were actually offered to the Ukrainians in public as an insult of sorts. Reason why? With the dead identified, any salaries of the dead that has been pocketed buy corrupt officials would be exposed. In addition families of the dead are to be compensated and maybe they were not? That could explain why they don't want the bodies.

Also in the news: (according to Ukraine) Ukraine still hitting deep in Russia. Last night while Kiev was being hit. Article below

Ukraine Scores More Hits On Airbase, Defense Factories Deep Inside Russia

Friday, Jun 06, 2025

Ukraine overnight targeted key Russian sites with more drone attacks, while simultaneously Russian cruise missiles were fired against Kiev and other regions of Ukraine, killing at least four and wounding twenty in the Ukrainian capital.

"A successful strike was carried out on the Engels airfield in the Saratov region, a place where enemy aircraft are concentrated," Ukraine’s General Staff said in a statement, in reference to the Engels-2 base which lies roughly 500 kilometers (300 miles) east of the Ukrainian border,"

Mike Benz did a segment on Jeffrey Sachs. Sachs was one of the guys in charge of privatizing/destroying Russia's economy in the 90's, and was also present during the 2014 Maidan colour revolution. It was implied he was there to 'organize' Ukraine's economy in a similar way. So Benz says that Sachs' Harvard economics/USAID activities in the past were in many ways a cause for this war. But Sachs is now in his 'John Perkins arc', and has cut ties with the PTB blob, not wanting to be responsible for WW3. This shed new light on Sachs for me, who is maybe having an attack of conscience.

The Sachs segment starts at about the 15 min mark.

Larry Johnson wrote a piece that this conflict is no longer a Special Military Operation. It has changed to a Counterterrorism Operation. I don't know if he's correct, but if he is, we can expect changes.

Russia’s response to Ukraine’s spate of terrorist attacks over the weekend is best captured by the phrase, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” This means that revenge is often more satisfying or effective when it is delayed, carefully planned, and not acted on in the heat of emotion.

As I noted in my previous piece, Russia’s military doctrine vis-a-vis Ukraine has been, until now, described as a Special Military Operation. In response to the drone attacks on Russia’s strategic bomber bases, Putin has now characterized the military mission as a Counterterrorism Operation. When the Russian government states that it is treating Ukraine as a “counterterrorism operation,” it signifies a strategic shift in rhetoric, tactics and the legal framework, allowing for expanded military and domestic security measures. Most in the West forget that Russia fought a ten-year counterterrorism war in Chechnya, prevailing in the end by exterminating the threat posed by Salafist muslims.

Under Russian law, declaring a counterterrorism operation grants authorities the power to:

  • Restrict Movement: Impose curfews and control over civilian movement in designated areas.
  • Control Communications: Monitor and limit media and personal communications.
  • Conduct Searches: Carry out searches and detentions without standard judicial oversight.

By framing its military actions as counterterrorism, Russia aims to escalate its use of military force: This means intensified military operations against Ukraine going forward. Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, today announced that Russia would no longer sit for negotiations with Ukraine about ending the war. Instead, Russia would confine its diplomatic efforts to “working delegations” that will address technical issues such as freeing POWS and returning the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers. No more Istanbul. That process is now kaput.

Ukraine’s attacks over the weekend have strengthened public support for destroying, via military means, the “terrorist” threat posed by Ukraine. I have heard from several Russian folks, as well as Pepe Escobar, that the anger towards Ukraine is widespread and that the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens are clamoring for a tough, devastating response. Putin and his generals are paying attention to the public sentiment and are now engaged in meticulous planning for launching massive strikes on Ukrainian assets implicated in these attacks. Putin made that point clearly and strongly to Donald Trump during their conversation on Wednesday. While Russia is not likely to strike outside the territorial boundaries of Ukraine, it will hit sites linked to foreign interests, which is likely to include British targets, still operating in Ukraine.

As night fell on the east coast in the United States, Russia launched a barrage of missiles and drones at targets in Ternopol, Kiev, Lvov, Lutsk, Rovno and Khmelnitsky. A video from Kiev shows a Patriot battery launching at least four missiles in a failed attempt to intercept an Iskander missile. It appears that multiple Russian missiles exploded near the site of the Patriot battery. While these strikes represent a surge compared to the previous days, this is not the retaliation that Putin informed Trump was coming. The big strike is still in the planning process.

Yes it's quite a 'blitz' by Russia, which has apparently targeted military sites and power plants in Kiev, and all regions of Ukraine, including as far west as Lutsk, while Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkov, has received its biggest strikes in the SMO to date.

Scanning reports for casualty figures from these strikes over the last 24 hours, the civilian death toll is 9 killed - 3 in Kharkov, and another 6 in other diverse locations.

Nine!

From around 500 objects fired!

The US fired just over 500 cruise missiles at Baghdad on the first night of 'shock-and-awe' in March 2003, and killed 6,616 civilians.

There's never been a 'war' like this, where the 'aggressor' incisively and strictly targets military-industrial sites in such a way that it minimizes civilian casualties. Caesar, whose mercy and clemency is renowned, was reputed to have given besieged populations a chance or two, but then slain them on the 2nd or 3rd transgression. Our Caesar experts can weigh in on the likelihood of that being propaganda from his enemies, but at the very least Putin is 'right up there with Caesar'.

'Gentle Jesus, meek and mild', the old hymn says. Caesar never wore a crown of thorns, however. Likely a crown of horns. Caesar said be true to yourself in a session with the C's. Putin must be true to his people while having compassion and as much mercy as possible to the rest of humanity. I can't imagine the responsibility (and stress) hanging over him right now. Let's all pray for Vladimir Putin.

A follow up on my post from yesterday about the 6,000 soldiers.

Zelensky robbing families of dead soldiers – Ukrainian MP

"Artyom Dmitruk accused Kiev of hiding the true death toll and looting payouts meant for bereaved families"

"The families of Ukrainian soldiers killed in action are entitled to government payouts of up to $360,000, meaning that accepting the return of 6,000 bodies could potentially cost Kiev, whose budget is almost entirely reliant on Western aid, over $2 billion. Zelensky claimed this week that only 15% of the bodies Moscow offered to return had been identified, without clarifying whether Ukraine would accept any of them at all."

"And this situation can become cathartic, so to say. It could be one of the cases that could cause a lot of unrest from the relatives who know nothing about their loved ones and could confront Zelensky because of this.”

"only for Zelensky to publicly reject the plan two hours later, calling Russian negotiators “idiots.”

A follow up on my post from yesterday about the 6,000 soldiers.
This is on the same sad and shameful topic. What can Russia do in this situation?
Russia can take an unprecedented step for Kiev's refusal to pick up dead militants

The scandal associated with the repatriation of six thousand bodies of dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may hit the leadership of the Kiev regime more powerfully than the "Hazel Tree".

As previously reported by Russkaya Vesna, the Ukrainian side refused to take the first batch of bodies of its soldiers, which arrived at the exchange area at the appointed time.

The Russian side can take a non-standard step, namely, publish the data of the dead, whose bodies the Ukrainian side refuses.

"In this situation, the publication of lists of the dead would help. While this is a faceless mass-6 thousand people-and when with names, with surnames, then immediately everyone has moms, dads, wives, children. And they all understand that Zelensky did not want to bury their loved one in a human way, and left it in the refrigerator for years, " wrote HRC member Marina Akhmedova.

The idea, it seems, will still be implemented in the near future. According to some military-political channels, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is preparing to publish terrible lists for Ukraine.

Это на ту же печальную и позорную тему. Что может сделать Россия в данной ситуации.

"This shed new light on Sachs for me, who is maybe having an attack of conscience."

Thanks for your post, and I'm aware that this is a bit off subject, but Id like to tag it along with the above info on Jeffery Sachs. I'll be brief.

I'm am having a wait a minute...what? moment with Jeffry Sachs.

At the recent ANTALYA diplomacy forum JS gave an excellent speech, then seems to me he turned into Al Gore. Says that we need to get rid of all the war stuff, and deal with the most frightening, most import challenge of our time. LA is burning because of global warming and we are not taking it seriously! It's the whole globe and it's freighting. The last 4 minutes of his speech was dedicated to anthropomorphic global warming, warning.

Weird. A blind spot? Paying his dues? I dunno.

Wait a minute...finding a blind-spot in an alt-media hero is no longer weird, just noteworthy.

(As an aside: I recently saw Clare Daly do the same thing, also just after a very worthwhile talk.)

The last 4 minutes of the below video. If you care to watch it, start at minute :38 to minute :42
