I can't find any picture of Putin that passes for a quenelle. :(

:)

 :cool2:

Thanks Vulcan! I'd seen this picture before, and spent a solid 20 minutes looking for it on google with no luck. Apparently, I just wasn't Putin' enough effort into it, or maybe I was just rushin'. ;D

I want a Putin+bear one, and a Caesar quenelle!

And why not a Putin+bear+quenelle one.

Is there anyone that can ask Putin to do a quenelle while riding a bear?

[…]

No need! With that excellent Caesar quenelle & the pic of him on the bear... we just need a good facial likeness of him (can't think of the best clothing while he's doing this though) whilst riding a bear. Also, I like the vision of him on a world map (on Russia or the whole Caucasus ) doing all the above. With the biggest baddest bear imaginable roaring at the west. I dunno a good symbol for the west but something that shows the "machine" of the west crumbling from the sound of the bear?

Though I´m still trying to figure out this "quenelle" joke or double-meaning since my level of English falls too short with words game, the bold part still remains within my reach and made me laugh a lot, very ingenious your way of putin it within your own context!

Hi hesperides,

For the meaning of quenelle see the wiki page about it.

There also has been ample coverage on SotT this year which will come available to you by using (as I just did) the google option in the search box on the SotT homepage.

There's also this topic about it: Artwork suggestion - Caesar Quenelle

Hope this helps a bit. :)

EDIT: added artwork link

Thank you very much Palinurus, you just taught me a new way for searching. Now that I´m aware, it seems so obvious...

Just to update, I went to the BigFrog store in town and am having them make up a green Putin+bear shirt that reads "THE PROOF IS IN THE PUTIN" with a "russian" font style. Then I also ordered a grey shirt to have the Caesar quenelle printed on, and both should be finished by Wednesday. It was $36.50 total, which is about the same as the Revolt shirts. They don't screen print but dye the shirts, or that was how it was explained to me anyway. So hopefully all will turn out well, and I'll have some great pics to share when I pick them up!

Thanks for the ideas everyone! :D :D :D

I suppose he is good at Putin two and two together.

I've never heard of someone Putin' it that way before, that's Putin' your head into it! :D

Today the range of Putin T-shirts went on sale at the most prestigious location in Moscow – the GUM department store on the Red Square (with 3,000 items being sold withing few hours):

I like the green military-style one with the inscription: "the politest of people" and the one where he is a horse rider. Also, the tube-shaped containers with T-shirts have a funny inscription: "Vse Putem" (means "Everything is OK" in Russian)

Love the dancin bear Putin on the Ritz. And if Putin my money where my mouth is will ride this badboy through this tumultuous water, I'll pay up.
