I live in Poland, so I'm not really familiar with Halloween, but I've seen many American movies. So...

* Kid's in costumes

* "scary" decorations and candies

costumes are a clear third if lines of 'kids- trick and treating' are counted to it


Edit: Hi Puzzle, didn't want to take your work. Some of the classes bleed into each other, like the costumes>trick or treat>candy, we should cross check our tallies.

I have come to about the same countings as you, only that I made those distinctions, e.g. counting costumes as separate from trick or treat; but it's probably better to have it the way you did it,
as a general image.

I also had them seperate in counting, but some lines included two classes, so both where checked.

I think that symbology of orange colour, caricature of witchcraft and kids and sweets may be put together for purpose. Waiting for Laura's article...
