Quick Question for Everyone

halloween---beltain---(its beltain in oz when its halloween up top)
image: myself in full mayqueen costume(privet and honeysuckle wreath,white and green dress,shimmering coat)blessing the crops
with my man in a freshly plowed and seeded field(read planted garden bed ;)) I actually do this..the last ritual I hav't given up yet

I find it sad that Hollywood has managed to bury the original meaning of this great festival...its the pagan new year and I'm sure its roots go back to the good old bronze age if not further

American Commercialism - simply because I grew up in Africa where we didn't have much to do with halloween

Could you explain why you want these few words on Halloween? I was a bit suprised by this request without explanation and would like to know what is the purpose of the question.

Yeah, pumpkins really - like most responded. Hollowed out, with grinning teeth and a little candle inside.

I get an image of something nasty in the background that is sort of masked by the outward phenomenon of sweet children and candies.
