Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Behind the Headlines Show'

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Thanks again Joe, Niall and Juliana for another really great show - looking at the real news 'behind the headlines' :)

Hillary Clinton would be cast very appropriately as the 'wicked witch of the West' as Joe mentioned!

I didn't know about the 1975 rape case. The audio and transcript of the interview can be found here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2f13f2awK4

In it, Clinton doesn't show one shred of empathy whatsoever, and the 12 year old rape victim doesn't get any mention at all - but it does give an insight into the 'nature of the beast'. By the way, Hillary Clinton - narcissistic psychopath - is now front runner to be American President in 2016!

A Bloomberg Politics poll revealed that Hillary Clinton runs ahead of her Republican Party would-be rivals in an early look at the 2016 presidential elections.

MOSCOW, December 8 (Sputnik) – Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton runs ahead of her Republican Party would-be rivals in an early look at the 2016 presidential elections, a Bloomberg Politics poll released Monday revealed.

"Greater numbers of Americans view her [Hillary Clinton] as a strong leader, who has a better vision for the future, shares their values, and empathizes with their concerns," the poll, conducted on December 3-5, says.

The poll participants were asked whom would they vote for "if the next general election for president were held today." Compared with Republicans Jeb Bush, Chris Cristie, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mitt Romney, Clinton leads them by more than eight percentage points in favorability on becoming the next US president.

As for the advantages of Hillary Clinton as a possible future president, 77 percent considered her servitude as Secretary of State as an advantage. Other factors viewed as advantageous by those taking part in the poll were her marriage to Bill Clinton (67 percent), her work in the federal government (78 percent) and her previous presidential campaign (60 percent).

"Her image and reputation with voters has been defined, and in some ways redefined, by her service as Secretary of State, where voters saw someone who was a strong leader in representing out country," Geoff Garin, Democratic polling expert who worked for Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign was quoted as saying by Bloomberg.

"If she runs, she comes to this election in much better shape then [sic] she did in 2008," Garin added.

Earlier on Sunday, former US President George W. Bush stated that he wants his brother Jeb Bush to run for president in 2016 and that Jeb would win, beating Hillary Clinton in the elections.

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Thanks for another great show on Dec. 7. Listened to it earlier today.

It's really fitting that the US will have another Bush and Clinton as possible presidential candidates for 2016 - IF the US makes it to Nov. 2016, that is; there's quite a good chance that there will be total collapse before then and then who knows what will happen to the pretension to democracy and presidential campaigns.

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Another great show guys, thank you. Australia has had Poro the puppet (Poroshenko) visiting for a few days, and it makes me so mad watching the spin on the news. The news broadcast focused on him and Tony Abbott attending a prayer vigil for the MH17 crash victims, as well as the Ukraine crisis. Russia was made out to be the culprit behind both (the spin they put is so insidious, it's so easy for your average unsuspecting citizen to believe that Russia is truly evil). The news piece finished with an announcement that Australia has agreed to sell Ukraine uranium. Makes one wonder why do they want uranium now, and how are they going to pay for it? IMF bailout perhaps?

Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko has arrived in Australia for a two-day visit, with discussions about downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 among the top agenda items. Mr Poroshenko and Prime Minister Tony Abbott will attend a prayer vigil for the victims of the downed flight in Melbourne this morning.
<....>

Mr Abbott said the visit would be a chance to build on cooperation between the two countries since the downing of MH17. "It is also an opportunity for Australia to reaffirm its support for Ukraine in the face of continuing threats to its territorial integrity," he said.

Australia has provided nearly $100 million to the International Monetary Fund to help support reform to Ukraine's economy, as well as $1 million in aid through the Red Cross. Mr Abbott also announced in September non-lethal assistance to Ukraine's armed forces and the establishment of an interim Australian Embassy in Ukraine.

Mr Poroshenko will be in the country until Friday, visiting Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.

I'm at a loss for words. Australia is such a fawning obsequious puppet of the US. Ugh

I know how you feel, Arwenn. These evil clowns are sickening. It helps to make fun of them, though. They're worse than a really bad movie, more like a spoof/parody - like Dr. Evil in Austin Powers movies. So, using ridicule helps deal with the infuriating feelings of such nonsensical and obvious lies. FWIW.

Know what you mean about the fawning, I caught a couple of news items in the last day or so and Tony Abbott just sickened me..

Wondered if anyone heard the Australian ABC radio news at 8am on Saturday morning, I was busying about and was sure I heard the broadcaster saying (paraphrasing here) that the "clique"(spokesperson Poreshenko) investigating the MA17 crash had agreed the perpertrator was the Eastern Ukraine Separatists/Nova Russians. I remember feeling as mad as hell knowing the rest of the country would see the this as a totally fine result. I haven't heard any more about it, though I only ever hear the first 5 minutes of radio news on a morning, and catch about half of the 7.30 TV news at night. I did a quick run through Sott when I opened up my computer for the day, but didn't find any reference to it.

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Hey Lindenlea :)

I didn't hear anything about Eastern Ukraine being 'blamed' for the crash-most of the spin has been against Russia. Not sure if their game plan is to foster a feeling of brewing hatred so that if their puppets decide to go to war, they will have plenty of cannon fodder to send over. Unless people go digging, (& most are totally unsuspecting), they would totally believe the lies put through the media (which are all owned by oligarchs such as Murdoch et al). I re-read Michael Topper's essay on evil, & it brings home why SOTT is so important:

The higher density positive entities are light beings. The higher density negative entities are "light eaters." Love is light is knowledge. When they induce belief against what is objectively true, they have "eaten" the light-knowledge of the person who has chosen blind belief over fact! When you believe a lie, you have allowed the eating of your energy of awareness! When you do not take the time and trouble to check things out for yourself, to do the research, to compare, to network, to get a consensus, you have given away your power. You have failed in the creative act of learning.

Such beings are associated with darkness because the light- knowledge is drawn into the cavernous "black hole" of their congenital emptiness.....The expanding order they attempt to impose, the totalitarian control over increasingly large numbers they attempt to exert, is the fantastical and internally self-contradictory project of coercing everything in creation to work for them, to cultivate and keep the fields of their energy-reserves and to furnish self-replenishing "herds" of emotional source-nutriment which can be converted into useful energy or light-capital. Since the negative beings can't generate an important light-energy source themselves, they they use the reserves of the beings effectually harnessed in thrall to them.

I listened to yesterday's show this morning. Thanks for another really great show. It was a great summary of how screwed up everything is getting in the world dominated by the Empire of Chaos and Lies and the psychopaths running it. Thanks a lot, again.

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Thanks for another great show! I really enjoyed the intro - good to hear such passion! :)

I think the CIA report is quite meaningless too - no report will ever be published from those high places that comes anywhere near to the Truth. In fact, considering all the media coverage of this report, it seems to be counter productive (from a sane perspective), as it sends an illusory signal that there is 'transparency' and a system of 'checks and balances'. Although it invariably was politically motivated at some level, it has just provoked the narrative of what form of torture is 'legal' or 'acceptable', and has generally masked the real issue. Namely that ALL torture is inhumane - and only psychopaths or spineless sycophantic apologists for them could argue otherwise.

Keep up the great work :)

On the news here last night was a CNN interview with Dick Cheney robustly defending the CIA's questionable methods of interrogation. It actually made me want to be sick. Worth a watch to see a total psychopath in action, defending criminal acts but twisted semantics and paramoralisms.

Cheney was asked to respond to the evidence in the report that while being held at a CIA secret prison, a prisoner named Majid Khan had a lunch of hummus, pasta, sauce and raisins pureed into a juice that was then rectally introduced into his body. The incident was one of the most gruesome elements of a 600-page summary released last week that shocked readers around the world.

Asked whether Khan’s treatment amounted to torture, Cheney replied: “I’ve told you what meets the definition of torture – it’s what 19 guys armed with airline tickets and box cutters did to 3,000 Americans on 9/11.”

Pressed by the anchor Chuck Todd, he added: “I believe it was done for medical reasons. That was not something that was done as part of the interrogation programme. It was not torture, as it was not part of the programme.”

Confronted with details of the treatment of senior al-Qaida figure Abu Zubaydah, who was placed in a coffin-sized box for 266 hours, Cheney said: “I think that was one of the approved techniques.”

When Todd referred to the death of Gul Rahman from hypothermia, Cheney rebuffed the question by saying that “the problem I have is with all the folks we did release who ended up on the battlefield”. He said he had “no problem” with a figure contained in the Senate report, that about a quarter of those subjected to torture had been later proven innocent: “I have no problem as long as we achieved our objective – to get the guys who did 9/11 and avoid another attack on the US.”

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

I caught last Sunday's show this morning. Thanks for a great year-in-review. It's been one heck of a year, for sure - hardly a dull moment!

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

I listened to the download a few days ago - what a brilliant show! :) It was lovely to hear Pierre again too. Enjoy the break, and thanks for all of your efforts throughout the year. I have a feeling there will be plenty to chat about 'behind the headlines' in the coming year!

Yes congratulations on your outstanding work! :headbanger:  It was another great show, many thanks to you and to Tim the sound engineer - the man behind the curtain!

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Congrats! Wow it's been 2 years? Looking in my podcast folder I see it indeed is! I edit them so I have double of all of them and it totals over 10.5 GB.

Just want to point out one thing for the safety of others. The audio clips were really loud. And it seemed that for this one the overall volume was low, but it could have been my audio editing. The clip around 1:58:55 had a lot of static and made my ear a bit sore, having had the volume up a bit to hear the podcast better in my car. I think like Tim mentioned, lowering the sound samples down by at least 50% would be a good idea.

Re: Radio show announcement - New Format: Weekly 'Connecting the Dots'

Just caught up on that Stefan Verstappen show from last November, really good interview. Keep em coming!

I really enjoyed his description of the cyclical nature, a very good tool to use as a descriptor for the events unfolding before our eyes on the global stage.
