Rectal Pain

I had a brief appointment with the specialist who did a preliminary check and he suspects an internal fissure in the posterior of the rectum because it was the only area where there was pain when he applied a little bit of pressure. He recommended eating a lot of fiber, which I'll probably skip, and said if it persists pasts 6 weeks that I should come back and explore other options. I assume that means a deeper examination if need be.

@Gaby if this is caused by an internal fissure would it still be a good idea to go ahead with a coffee enema, even a low dose one? The acid in the coffee might aggravate the tear which is why it was so painful the last time around. I'll try a basic water or probiotic enema after giving Chu's cleanse a try next Sunday. That's the earliest I'll be able to have a full day to dedicate to it. And seeing as external hemorrhoids have been ruled out, am gonna get the PDF Joe linked to and take a look at what the internal protocol is.

Putting a cannula in the area could be problematical if there's a fissure, but in case you do, water might be better tolerated.

I don't think the hemorrhoid therapy is useful for a fissure. I wouldn't do any more enemas and I'd avoid any aggressive treatments that mean you have to pass a lot of liquid or whatever since it seems you may have a tear on the inside of your rectum, so passing anything is going to be painful until you can heal it.

She also makes a product called 'fissureheal'.

Hope you are able to clear it up soon Turgon.

I would also think that this might be a good idea especially considering the fact that you have a pretty definite correlation with when it started. I mean, from your description, it is fairly obvious that whatever is going on was either caused or triggered by the enema in the first place. You don't want to make it worse. So for that reason I would stop it at least for the time being and try other routes instead.

I agree. If it's a fissure, I wouldn't don't do any more damage (even other flushes if you don't feel any other type of discomfort in your colon), and wait till it heals. That therapy that Joe linked to sounds interesting and less aggressive.

Hi Perlou, if you are having chronic constipation you should make some changes in what you are eating, perhaps adding some carbohydrates. Also, do you take magnesium supplements?

Thanks Joe, I think that'll help a lot. I watched the interview earlier and to give a quick breakdown she suggests the suppository is like an internal healing balm that acts as a safe lubricant just before a bowel movement. Because she uses all-natural ingredients, it's not supposed to cause irritation. And that one of the big issues with fissures is that people are constantly re-tearing it before it fully heals, especially if stools are hard. I passed some hard stool yesterday and did start to experience a regular recurrence of shooting pain up until this morning including down my left leg which was new. She did mention retention probiotic enema's as well and suggested using comfrey and/or vitamin E as the lubricant for the tube, but that seemed more in relation to fistula's which requires a different protocol and approach. Although she did stress the importance of probiotics.

But I'll start with fissureheal first and let y'all know how it goes after spending some time on the protocol.

JOE, thank you for your answer.... No, I don't eat carbohydrates (sugar).... Until now I used to take raw cheeses in my diet, I will finish the ones I have in my fridge but I will stop because dairy products make me sick now.... I eat deli meats and proteins (grass beef, pork, chicken, egg) no baby animals, no rabbit, they are too cute.... What would you suggest as a carbohydrate?..... I was happy to hear you two weeks ago at the crystal/prayer meeting Laura and Reiki... We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you again....

Oui, je prends une cuillère à café de magnésium chaque matin...

Yes, I take a teaspoon of magnesium every morning

I suffer from chronic constipation,

@PERLOU, herbal extracts such as licorice root, senna or marshmallow root will help with constipation. Also prune juice helps with bowel movements (that’s what I give my mum & it works a charm for her). I don’t know how often you’re taking magnesium, but you could increase the dose to twice a day (depends on what type of Magnesium you’re taking as well i.e. chelate, citrate, orotate etc.).
