Hi Danny,

Could you tell us why you posted that video and why the members of this forum should watch it.
 
Why I posted it. Because I felt like it.

Why should members of this forum watch it. That would imply that I am trying to MAKE people watch me act like a fool. No one SHOULD watch it. It is there for anyone to watch or not watch. If you think it is inappropriate for your members of the forum, simply remove it. Being a moderator with the rank of "super", I would think you would have noticed that it is called a sandbox.As in a place for people to play. There are no intentions or message or agenda in this video.Merely me playing. Maybe you should consider not taking your title so seriously and just lighten up.

Danny, all Gandalf was doing is asking for some subtext so that people have an idea of what you've posted -- it's just a matter of external consideration, and we do this whenever someone posts a link without a bit of explanation, so nothing to get riled about. Excellent choice, though, if you're going to reproduce a monologue.
 
Ah yes. Just as I suspected. Someone trying to belittle another by insinuating that my knowledge of the English language is lacking. For the record I did not explain the video I posted because I was applying the EXTERNAL CONSIDERATION that the video was self-explanatory and the forum readers could think for themselves without being led by the hand. It is a mistake I will surely learn from.

Not at all Danny. I posted the link not just for your consideration, but for others reading this thread. As you've probably noticed, there is a language that is used on this forum that is not commonly known. It was in that context that I posted, nothing more.

This forum doesn't exist for you to post something because you feel like it Danny. Just posting a link to a video with nothing else is considered noise. Obviously you wanted people to watch it otherwise you wouldn't have posted the link. This isn't a place to put things just because you are "playing". Their are plenty of other forums where you can do it, but here if you're going to post a link to a video with no explanation about its contents, you're going to be asked to provide a little data regarding its content. If you can't do that without making a fuss then you may be better off elsewhere.

Danny, the mods already asked you why did you post this video. I want to ask why did you record it in the first place ?
 
Hi Danny, you've been on this forum since 2006 and you have been around the block, as Anart mentioned, so you know how this forum works and what it is about, and I'd think you know that mods here don't have a habit of insulting or belittling and making unreasonable requests and comments. So I'm just wondering if something is going on with you that caused you to misunderstand the intent and spirit of the mods' posts? You also haven't been posting much in the last few years, so perhaps this may be related. I know from personal experience that if I'm away from this forum for some time, all the pathology and noise of our every-day environment starts rubbing off on my thinking patterns and emotions, and I notice a lack of clarity and increased subjectivity in my behavior, thoughts, and emotions. And the opposite is true - hanging around with objective and clear-headed people helps clear up my mind and allows me to see things more objectively as well. If it's something in particular going on in your life right now, you may wish to talk about it in the swamp. Never shy away from networking, or asking for help. That's why we have this network.

And it's ironic seeing a V quote coming from Darth Vader ;)
