Russia Begins Operations in Syria: End Game for the US Empire?

Interesting report about Silk Way Airlines Angelburst.

There are a few interesting things on Wiki:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Way_Airlines

Silk Way Airlines (also Silk Way West Airlines, Silk Way Helicopter Services, Silk Way Ground Handling) is an Azerbaijani state-run cargo airline with its head office and flight operations at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Azerbaijan.[1] It operates freight services linking Europe and Asia, United States and Africa, as well as services for government and non-governmental organisations.

History

The company was founded in 2001 and started commercial flights on 6 October 2001.[2] In early 2015 a contract was being negotiated for another 3 Boeing 747-8 freighters.[3] In May 2015 the airline was announced as the launch customer for the Antonov An-178 after placing an order for 10 aircraft.[4] In 2017, the company signed purchase of 10 more Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with total cost of $1B.[5]

Incidents and accidents

On 7 November 2002 at 11:30 local time, Silk Way Airlines Flight 4132, which was operated using an Antonov An-12 (registered 4K-AZ21) overshot the runway upon landing at N'Djamena International Airport in Chad. The aircraft was destroyed, but the six crew members on board survived.[10]
On 6 July 2011 at 00:10 local time, a Silk Way Airlines Ilyushin Il-76 (registered 4K-AZ55) crashed into a mountain 25 kilometers short of Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, killing all of the crew of nine people on board the cargo flight from Baku, which was operating on behalf of NATO.[11][12]
On 18 May 2016, a Silk Way Airlines Antonov An-12 crashed during takeoff at Dwyer Airport in southern Afghanistan, killing 7 of the 9 crew members on board the cargo flight to Mary International Airport.[13

It appears to have been set up a month after 911. Coincidence? Or maybe they planned to take the next wars to a large extent, off the grid.

Thanks for gathering the extra info on Silk Way Airlines, Hello H20 - much appreciated!

Bulgarian investigative journalist Dilyana Gaytandzhieva deserves the "Highest Honor's" that can be bestowed to someone with her talent and fortitude. It's what "real journalism is all about" - unfortunately, good journalist are becoming a "dying breed" and a high operational hazard. I lost track of the number that have been killed in the war zones.

The May 18th report above is interesting. I wasn't able to find a report on the incident in the archives of RT, Sputnik or any of the other sites I visit but found it here:

Silk Way West Airlines cargo aircraft crashes May 20, 2016
http://www.aircargoweek.com/silk-west-airlines-cargo-aircraft-crashes/

A Silk Way West Airlines Antonov An-12 crashed on Wednesday in southern Afghanistan killing seven crewmembers.

The Azerbaijani freighter crashed at 14.30h local time on Wednesday during takeoff at Camp Dwyer, a military airfield in Helmand province, when one of the wings clipped the runway as it was taking off. Two people survived the accident.

The aircraft was thought to have been operated under a contract with a NATO mission.

In a statement posted on its website, Silk Way Airlines said there were nine crew members, seven of whom were killed. They were from Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Two technicians from Ukraine survived and were said to be in stable condition.

“Silk Way Airlines extends its condolences to the friends and families of those killed,” the statement adds.

That report was a year ago and considering two crew members were Ukrainian - I'm assuming NATO has probably been supplying Ukraine access to their "jihadi Wal-Mart" of weapons? The Bulgarian report might have forced NATO/U.S. "to openly announce" they are going to supply Ukraine?

US approves $175 million arms supply deal to Ukraine August 24 , 2017

Dilyana Gaytandzhieva first authored the bombshell report for Trud Newspaper, based in Sofia, Bulgaria but it gained little traction in the Western or International press. It wasn't until the Qatar-based Al Jazeera featured the story .... while reporting the shocking news that Gaytandzhieva had been interrogated by Bulgarian authorities before being fired from her newspaper .... that the journalist report finally got wider attention.

Speaking of the Qatar-based Al Jazeera - this comes to mind: Were the Saudi's and Israel trying to disband Al-Jazeera to put a lid on this Report? It blows their game - wide open?

I know this is probably stretching the limits but considering the content collected in the Bulgarian report and the damage it could do to the CIA, NATO and the Pentagon (because they can't blame it on Putin or Trump) were the peaceful protests in Charlottesville, Virginia hijacked by Antifa, etc. to create a diversion to mask any leaks that might hit the main stream media?

A Bulgarian journalist was fired for exposing a massive covert weapons shipment network from Eastern Europe to terror groups in Syria involving US spy agency, the CIA, media reports said.

Report: Journalist Sacked after Exposing CIA Weapons Shipments to Terrorists in Syria
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960607000785

Investigative reporter Dilyana Gaytandzhieva authored a bombshell report for Trud Newspaper, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, which found that an Azerbaijan state airline company was regularly transporting tons of weaponry to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Turkey under diplomatic cover as part of the CIA covert program to supply anti-government militants in Syria, Al waght reported.

According to a report published by Zerohege website, Those weapons, Gaytandzhieva found, ended up in the hands of ISIL and al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq and Syria.

While it's long been believed that the US-Persian Gulf-NATO coalition arming terrorists inside Syria facilitated the rapid rise of ISIL , the Trud Newspaper report is the first to provide exhaustive documentation detailing the precise logistical chain of the weapons as they flowed from their country of origin to the battlefield in Syria and Iraq. Gaytandzhieva even traveled to Aleppo where she filmed and examined labeled weapons shipping containers held in underground storehouses.

The Bulgaria-based journalist obtained and published dozens of secret internal memos which were leaked to her by an anonymous source as part of the report. The leaked documents appear to be internal communications between the Bulgarian government and Azerbaijan's Embassy in Sofia detailing flight plans for Silk Way Airlines, which was essentially operating an "off the books" weapons transport service, not subject to inspections or tax under diplomatic cover, for the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Saudi Arabia, Israel, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.

Gaytandzhieva said on Thursday in a tweet that she was fired from her job at Trud after she was interrogated by the Bulgarian national security which tried to find out her sources.

US-led forces are currently conducting airstrikes inside Syria to reportedly combat ISIL terrorists. The airstrikes are carried out without the permission of Damascus thus violating the country’s sovereignty.

The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, with the government of President Bashar al Assad blaming some Western states, especially the US and their regional allies, including Saudi Arabia, of backing terrorists wreaking havoc in the country.

Roll out the popcorn ... the Show is about to begin!

A large number of Syrian and Russian military forces have arrived in the town of Tal Rifat at the request of Kurdish units of the SDF to block an imminent incursion of the Turkey-backed Arab militants in the region, an Arab media outlet reported on Tuesday.

Syrian, Russian Military Forces, Equipment Arrive in Northern Aleppo to Face Turkish Army Incursion
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960607001102

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news reported that a large cargo of Syrian-Russian military equipment, the Syrian army units and the Russian military police have entered Tal Rifat, a town in Northern Aleppo that is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Al-Hadath further said that the move is aimed at preventing the Ankara-backed Euphrates Shield Operation forces or Turkish forces to advance in the region.

In the meantime, Mustafa Sijeri, the head of the political bureau of Liwa al-Mo'atasem affiliated to the Ankara-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA), said that the Kurdish units have asked Russia to send its forces to Northern Aleppo in reaction to Washington's plan to hand over the region to Liwa al-Mo'atasem.

Sijeri further said that Russia has pushed the plan of delivering control of 11 towns and settlement in Northern Aleppo to FSA into complete failure.

News websites affiliated to terrorist groups reported on Saturday that the Turkish army deployed a large number of forces and a large volume of military hardware in Northern Aleppo.

The pro-terrorist groups' websites reported that Ankara dispatched fresh forces and modern military equipment, including several military vehicles and tanks, to the town of Azaz in Northern Aleppo via the border town of Kilis in Southern Turkey.

Reports said earlier this month that the Turkish army dispatched more heavy military equipment to its borderline with Syria's Afrin.

The reports said that the Turkish army dispatched a large volume of heavy military equipment to the border region with Syria's Afrin North-West of Aleppo province that was controlled by the Kurdish fighters.

According to the report, the Turkish army's Howitzer cannons and tanks entered Kilis region at border with Syria in a military column along with six trucks, adding that the cannons were to de deployed near Afrin region.

Sources in al-Shahba region in Northern Aleppo reported this month that a large cargo of light weapons and ammunition was sent through al-Ra'i border crossing towards the village of Sousian and then was transferred towards al-Bab region in Northern Aleppo.

The sources added that the cargo was delivered to several militant groups affiliated to Sultan Morad terrorist group.

Turkey sent its military into Syria in August last year to prop up local militias allied with Ankara against ISIL and Kurdish forces. The confrontation with Syrian Kurd militias, which Turkey considers an off-shoot of the Turkish-based militant movement Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), put Ankara at odds with the US.

Russian military vehicles have been sighted in the Kurdish-held city of Tal Rifaat in the northern Aleppo countryside yesterday.

http://www.fort-russ.com/2017/08/russian-military-vehicles-sighted-in.html

It was reported by local sources on the ground that a Russian MP was also sighted, but this could not be verified by Fort Russ News at this time.

With Turkey's threat to storm the city and root out the Kurdish YPG, the Syrian branch of the Kurdistan Workers Party that Ankara recognizes as a terrorist group, it is assumed that the deployment of the Russian Military Police is to prevent such an event from occuring.

Fort Russ will continue to report on any breaking developments.

The Syrian Army has recently received a number of modern armored vehicles made by Russia, a Russian media outlet reported on Tuesday, adding that the new vehicles will play a significant role in campaign against terrorism in the war-hit country.

http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960607001282

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik reported that the army has recently been equipped with a number of modern Russia-made BTR-80 armored personnel carriers and Vodnik armored vehicles. The Vodnik armored vehicles weighting almost seven tons can move with 120km/h on rugged roads.

The Syrian army did not have enough number of modern armored personnel carriers after taking out its old armored vehicles.

Media sources reported on Saturday that the army had been utilizing the state-of-the-art 'Sayyad (Hunter) 3' electronic jamming systems manufactured by the country's experts.

According to the Arabic-language website of Sputnik news agency, Sayyad 3 was the latest model of Syria's home-made electronic jamming systems which were used for downing the terrorists' drones.

Sayyad 3 is different with other models of jamming systems in design and easy application, and could be operated even by one person.

As Ankara and Syrian rebels it backs oppose Kurdish-led opposition forces fighting against Daesh terrorists with the US military support in the country, media reports emerged that US servicemen came under fire from a group of Turkey-backed rebels.

Turkey-Backed Syrian Rebels Reportedly Open Fire at US Troops

US troops on patrol in northern Syria came under fire from a group of Turkey-backed rebels, CNN reported on Tuesday.

Rebels shooting at the US troops are reportedly associated with Turkish-backed Syrian opposition forces who oppose the presence of Kurdish groups allied with the United States.

The US filed a diplomatic protest with the Turkish government, according to the media report. The incident took place during the week of August 21.

US troops have exchanged fire with Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army militants in northern Syria, which has resulted in the US-led coalition making protests directly to Ankara.

The clash, which resulted in no casualties from either side, took place in the city of Manbij in Aleppo province, northern Syria.

The US-led Coalition spokesman Colonel Ryan Dillon confirmed the exchange of fire.

"Our forces did receive fire and return fire and then moved to a secure location," he explained by phone.

"The coalition has told Turkey that firing on US-led coalition forces is not acceptable," he emphasized.

The US-led coalition warplanes bombed a gathering of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa city, killing or wounding 15 friendly troops, an Arab media outlet reported on Tuesday.

US Fighter Jets Bomb Friendly Kurdish Troops in Northeastern Syria
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960607001582

The Arabic-language al-Ahd reported that the warplanes pounded a gathering center of the SDF in al-Haramiyeh neighborhood in Raqqa city, leaving 15 Kurdish fighters dead or injured.

Well-informed sources said on Saturday that tens of terrorists were killed or wounded after a long convoy of ISlL's vehicles reportedly came under attack by the Russian air force en route from Western Deir Ezzur to the South-East of Raqqa province.

The sources reported that the fighter jets that bombed ISIL's military convoy were possibly from the Russian Air Force, adding that the convoy left Western Deir Ezzur for the town of Ma'adan and the Southern bank of the Euphrates River in Raqqa province, the last stronghold of ISIL in South-East Raqqa.

The sources added that ISIL tried to provide support for the terrorists that were in tough battle with the Syrian pro-government forces in Ma'adan.

The fighter jets hit ISIL's military column hard, leaving tens of terrorists dead or wounded and a number of their vehicles destroyed.

The Syrian army units have laid siege on ISIL in Ma'adan from the Western and Southern directions.

How Americas Most Powerful News Media Worked Hand in Glove with the Central Intelligence Agency and Why the Church Committee Covered It Up

THE CIA AND THE MEDIA BY CARL BERNSTEIN
http://nrt24.ru/en/news/cia-and-media

A long and detailed, comprehensive article.

Example: The history of the CIA’s involvement with the American press continues to be shrouded by an official policy of obfuscation and deception for the following principal reasons:

■ The use of journalists has been among the most productive means of intelligence‑gathering employed by the CIA. Although the Agency has cut back sharply on the use of reporters since 1973 (primarily as a result of pressure from the media), some journalist‑operatives are still posted abroad.

This Is The Fight That The Trump Regime Feared Was Coming, Syrian Rebels Attacking U.S. Troops With Weapons Supplied By The CIA
http://nrt24.ru/en/news/fight-trump-regime-feared-was-coming-syrian-rebels-attacking-us-troops-weapons-supplied-cia

US ground troops were attacked outside of the Syrian city of Manbij today, according to coalition spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon. They came under fire from Syrian rebels allied with Turkey, and US forces returned fire before fleeing back into Manbij.

This is a fight that many have feared was coming for months, and is particularly significant because the Syrian rebels attacking the US troops are the same rebel forces that the US was directly arming through CIA arms smuggling operations for years.

With the CIA program ended, the rebels are now aligned with Turkey, and Turkey has made clear since their invasion of Syria that they intended to try to capture Manbij militarily, to expel Kurdish forces. It is only the presence of US troops in Manbij that has deterred NATO member Turkey from attacking the city.

But Turkey’s been very publicly griping about the US support for the Kurds. That, combined with the Turkish-backed rebels claiming the US “abandoned” them by cutting aid, appears to have finally provoked some fighting.

This puts a final exclamation point on what a bad idea the CIA arms program turned out to be, as not only did it not accomplish the regime change goals of the time, it’s armed up rebel factions that are now eager to fight US troops. While Turkey clearly has an interest in preventing this going too far, it’s unlikely this is the last of the US clash with these rebels.

American nuclear weapons based in Germany should be withdrawn from the country, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said in an interview with German news agency DPA during a visit to New York. This, he said, must become the result of the new dialogue on disarmament.

Berlin’s top diplomat suggests US nukes be removed from Germany
http://nrt24.ru/en/news/berlins-top-diplomat-suggests-us-nukes-be-removed-germany

Leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Martin Schulz earlier argued for it.

"I am confident that it is necessary to talk again about arms control and disarmament. That’s why I think that Martin Schulz’s statements that the issue should concern withdrawing weapons from our country are right," Gabriel said.

According to the DPA agency, unverified data suggest that up to 20 American nuclear warheads have been located at an airfield near the municipality of Buchel, Rhineland-Palatinate state, since the Cold War era.

In March 2010, Bundestag members issued by a majority of votes a mandate for the government for talks with Washington on withdrawal of American nuclear weapons from Germany. However, then-German cabinet of ministers declared that it would not take any unilateral steps without coordination with the country’s NATO partners.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is deeply upset because Syrian President Bashar Al Assad is staying in power, noting that Bashar Al Assad is much stronger than her government would prefer.

Merkel in tears upon realizing that Bashar Al Assad is not going away
http://www.fort-russ.com/2017/08/merkel-in-tears-upon-realizing-that.html

During an annual press conference in Berlin, Merkel said that the fact that Bashar Al Assad is staying in power does not eliminate the need to achieve political transition in Syria, adding that the political transition may contribute to reconciliation within the country, while also noting that negotiations on the matter are progressing slowly.

On Monday, the former US ambassador to Damascus Robert Ford said that the war in Syria is coming to an end, noting that Bashar Al Assad has won and will remain in power, while being interviewed by The National newspaper.

On August 6th, sources in Geneva said Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir told the head of the Supreme Negotiations Committee, Riyad Farid Hijab, that Syrian opposition needs to deal with the fact that Bashar Al Assad is not going away anytime soon.

One of most highly trafficked runways for US warplanes in the Middle East and the only foreign military base with F-22 Raptors will finally be recognized at an official level by the US military and diplomatic community, Military.com reports.

US Air Force Finally Admits To Operating a Base in the UAE
https://sputniknews.com/military/201708301056906951-us-air-force-operating-uae/

The Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates has been used for 27 years – off the record. But it’s been a pretty poorly kept secret. US Air Force aircraft such as the KC-10 tanker, RQ-4 Global Hawk drone, Boeing’s E-3 Sentry command and control plane, the U-2 Dragon Lady ultra-high altitude jet (also once flown by the Central Intelligence Agency) and the F-22 Raptor have been seen taking off from and landing at the base.

The main unit running out of Al Dhafra Air Base, aside from the UAE Air Force, is the US Air Force’s 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. As of October 26, 2016, Raptors had conducted 716 sorties in the fight against Daesh, sometimes referred to by US commanders as Operation Inherent Resolve,
according to USAF data.

A command center within the 380th AEW known as “the Kingpin” has been instrumental in coordinating logistics for coalition aircraft to refuel from KC-10s, Military.com notes. The Kingpin “minimizes fog and friction for the entire area of responsibility falling under US Central Command’s domain,” Brig. Gen. Charles Corcoran, unit commander and F-22 pilot, told the news agency.

Communications for aerial missions is important both within the US Air Force and for other air forces operating in the same area. Despite US-Russian relations sitting at an “all-time & very dangerous low,” to quote President Donald Trump’s August 3 tweet, communications between both military services have managed to persist unfazed by the political winds. US and Russian officials communicate 10 to 12 times per day at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar,
Reuters reported August 24.

Maintaining the de-confliction line hasn’t been easy at every step, but “the Russians have been nothing but professional, cordial and disciplined,” Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, told Reuters.

The UAE government has been wary of making America’s presence in the country a matter of official business due to concerns that it could rub some Emiratis the wrong way, the Washington Post reported in 2014. UAE authorities began to reconsider this position as Dubai began to feel that its efforts against Daesh were going without due recognition.

While it’s not clear why the US Air Force and US Embassy & Consulate in the United Arab Emirates chose late August to make the announcement, it’s worth noting that Tuesday’s announcement shortly follows an August 22 meeting between Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and senior adviser to the president Jared Kushner, special representative for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt, Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell and deputy assistant secretary of state for Arabian Gulf affairs Tim Lenderking. “Both sides stressed their shared priority of cutting off all support for terrorists and extremists,” the US State Department’s joint readout stated.

Guam will soon be the site of a US military live-firing range to support Marines relocating from Okinawa, following an $87 million contract that was awarded to Black Construction Corp last week.

US Marine Live-Fire Range to Be Constructed on ‘Pristine’ Land in Guam
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201708291056902235-guam-firing-range-being-constructed/

Between 2022 and 2026 there are plans for about 4,100 Marines to relocate from Okinawa to Guam. This drawdown is part of a 2013 agreement between Japan and the US for Washington to reduce its footprint on Okinawa, which houses most of the United States’ military bases in Japanese territory.

Andersen Air Force Base will situate the complex near what community members say is the last pristine area on the island: a wildlife refuge that will have to be partially closed when the range is in use.

Col. Brent Bien, who oversees US Marine activity in Guam, said in a statement, "We are committed to Guam, and our forward presence here will play an essential role in strengthening the military's ability to maintain regional security and protect the nation's interests in the Pacific."

One of the groups opposing the range’s construction is Prutehi Litekyan, who has been reaching out to local political leaders to put a halt to what spokeswoman Sabina Perez called a "toxic legacy."

Guam congresspeople Sen. Fernando Esteves (R-Yona), Speaker Benjamin Cruz (D-Tumon) and Vice Speaker Therese Terlaje (D-Yona) have expressed support for the group.

"No amount of money can compensate for the permanent destruction, loss of access and other adverse impacts to Guam's historic sites," Terlaje said on Friday. "One hundred eighty-seven acres of limestone forests, endangered species and fishing areas that are part of this particular live-fire training range project."

"The Department of Defense has not kept its promises to avoid these adverse impacts to Guam and in fact continues to expand its control over lands and waters of Guam and the Marianas," she added, according to AP.

Perez said the group is trying to schedule meetings with military officials, and Terlaje is appealing to Gov. Eddie Calvo to meet with federal officials to try and avoid the range’s potential impact. The complex is expected to be complete by November 2020.

Israeli hospitals continue to admit injured militants of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) after Jordan refused to treat them in its medical centers, Arab media outlets reported on Wednesday.

Israel Continues Assisting Terrorist Groups in Syria
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960608000581

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news reported that Israeli hospitals near the border with Syria admitted over seven injured militants of the FSA that had been wounded in clashes with ISIL-affiliated Jeish Khalid Bin Walid.

Al-Hadath further said that Jordan had not allowed the FSA's wounded members to be treated in its hospitals.

Local sources disclosed in June that several terrorists, who had been wounded in the battle with the Syrian government forces in Quneitra province, were taken to an Israeli hospital.

The sources reported that a number of injured members of Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) have been transferred to the Israeli hospitals via al-Hamidiyeh region in Quneitra countryside.

The army troops repelled Al-Nusra Front's offensives in the Southwestern province of Quneitra, leaving tens of terrorists dead and many more wounded. Later, the Israeli aircraft attacked the Syrian government forces' tanks and artillery positions South-West of the war-hit country.

This was not the first time that Al-Nusra terrorists were transferred to Israeli hospital after sustaining injuries in clashes with the army soldiers.

Gunmen in a sum of 24 towns and villages laid down their weapons and endorsed peace with the Syrian Army with the help of the Russian Coordination Center in Humeimim base, the Syrian state agency reported Wednesday.

Militants in More Towns, Villages Join Peace Agreement with Syrian Army
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960608000499

The Arabic-language SANA reported that militants in 24 towns and villages in Eastern and Western Homs ended battle against the army under the nationwide peace plan in Syria and following a meeting with elites of a number of villages and towns held by Russia's Coordination Center in Humeimim military base.

Local sources said on Tuesday that a sum of 500 gunmen that had laid down weapons and applied for government amnesty in Western Ghouta were pardoned by Damascus authorities.

The sources said that 500 gunmen that had handed over their weapons to the Syrian Army and applied for government pardoning in Tal Decoh, Ba'ar al-Qasab, Sis and Mak'houl regions in Eastern Ghouta and in the village of al-Hawayan in marginal part of Badiyeh (desert) East of Damascus province, received government's amnesty and returned to normal line.

A number of fighters affiliated to the Turkish Army were killed and wounded in sporadic clashes with Kurdish units of the SDF in Northern Aleppo on Wednesday.

More Turkey-Backed Militants Killed in Exchange of Fire with Kurdish Fighters in Northern Syria
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960608001261

The Kurdish-language Hawar news agency reported that the Turkish army and their affiliated militants intensified their movements in a region between the town of Mare'a and the village of Harbal near al-Shahba and shelled the villages in the area.

The news agency further added that artillery units of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fired on the Turkey-backed militants' positions and movements in response to their assaults, destroying three tanks and killing four.

Also, the Turkey-backed militants' mortar units opened heavy fire on the villages of Mar'anaz, Shawarqah and Ein Daqnah, added the report.

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news reported on Tuesday that a large cargo of Syrian-Russian military equipment, the Syrian army units and the Russian military police entered Tal Rifat, a town in Northern Aleppo that is under the control of the SDF.

Al-Hadath further said that the move was aimed at preventing the Ankara-backed Euphrates Shield Operation forces or Turkish forces to advance in the region.

According to US Central Command (Centcom), US warplanes have attacked a major east-west highway in Syria, to prevent a Red Crescent-led evacuation program which is taking ISIL fighters and civilians out of the Syria-Lebanon border area to Deir Ezzur under a ceasefire deal with Syrian government and Hezbollah.

No Target Is Off-Limits: Why Is US Killing Entire Families in Syria Evacuation Program?
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609001096

After ISIL lost all of its territory in the border region, they negotiated an evacuation deal with the allied forces involved. The US, however, insists that it is not a party to the deal, and feels justified attacking the highway to stop the convoy as a result. The buses are said to contain militants, their families and civilians. The US insists on all of them being killed instead of delivered to Deir Ezzur.

The convoy is now effectively stuck smack in the middle of Syria, with no easy way to move on to their intended destination. Centcom Spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon insists the convoy is still being monitored, and that the US would not rule out attacking the buses in the future if they believe it’s appropriate to do so. Dillon goes on to slam Russia, who appears wholly uninvolved with this whole evacuation process. He says the fact that Russia doesn’t actively prevent the convoy from leaving proves they aren’t serious about fighting ISIL. Actually. It’s the other way around:

The War Party in Washington is not happy with the way things have turned out in its regime-change program in Syria. Its terror proxy forces were supposed to depose the government but now just want to get out of the conflict zones while they can – saving themselves and their unfortunate families.

- For many reasons, US officials are expressing outrage at the deal, and indeed at the notion of any deal. This is not because as US Special Envoy Brett McGurk demands, “All of the ISIL fighters should be killed on the battlefield, and that busing is inappropriate for them.” The US wants them to stay and terrorize. This way they can continue the profitable war of attrition against Syria and its allies Iran, Russia and Hezbollah. It gives US perfect excuses to occupy Syria, bash Iran, and sell new weaponry to regional client states, mainly Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

- The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of those who have won the war. The allied forces of Iran, Syria, Russia and Hezbollah have won the war. The evacuation program is not intended to give a new breather to the terrorist groups. The whole idea is based on humanitarian grounds and giving them the chance to change course. There is still room in Syria for those who regret being part of a foreign-backed regime-change war. If they lay down arms and surrender, they and their families can have the chance to live in post-ISIL Syria.

Where this leaves the evacuation program is unclear, as the US seems to be holding out for the massacre of ISIL fighters, their families and civilians on the buses, and has threatened to attack the buses if they try to find a new route around the giant hole US warplanes have created in the highway they are traveling on. But one thing is certain:

The United States is killing entire families in Syria, and enabling Saudi Arabia to do the same in Yemen. In the first week of fighting in Raqqa, UN war crimes investigators warned that the US had already killed 300 civilians from air strikes alone. Rather than heed that warning, the US has continued the same strategy of pounding Raqqa into the ground despite the likelihood of civilian casualties. Not to mention that President Trump has relaxed the rules surrounding air strikes earlier this year, meaning military generals on the ground can call in airstrikes from the ground with zero oversight.

The result is that entire families, and not just ISIL families, are being massacred by US-led air strikes almost everywhere. The scale of things could increase significantly, if the War Party tries and derails the ongoing evacuation program. The program has come to the fore because America’s remaining terror proxies are not willing to fight to the death. There are very few die-hard ISIL supporters, and there are many witnesses and activists who have reported incidents of widespread civilian deaths at the hands of US air strikes.

This makes it incredibly difficult to believe that Washington is taking the utmost care to protect civilians in Syria. At a time when Amnesty International and human rights groups release evidence condemning the US for killing civilians in an indiscriminate fashion, are we just supposed to take their word for it?

As horrifying as the terror being inflicted on Syria is, what is occurring right now is not taking place in isolation. The US is delivering this disturbing criminality all over the region. In Yemen, the Saudi-led coalition, which is armed, trained, and protected by the US and the UK, is doing the exact same thing. These kinds of attacks seem to be occurring daily, and no target is off-limits for the war criminals - even their own terror proxies and entire families.

The al-Qaeda-linked Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorist group brutally massacred all members of a family that was affiliated to a rival militant group, including 20 people, in Northern Idlib.

Tahrir Al-Sham Slaughters Entire Family for Affiliation to Rival Militant Group in Idlib
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000920

Tahrir al-Sham militants stormed the rural town of Taladah and rounded up an entire family, some of whom were members of the Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki militant group, and then slaughtered them.

In the massacre, some 20 people, including women and children as well as 4 serving militants of the al-Zenki faction, were killed.

Opposition sources say that Tahrir al-Sham specifically targeted this family because it was very vocal in anti-Tahrir sentiments during the latest round of infightings in Idlib.

After being part of Tahrir al-Sham alliance since its formation at the beginning of this year, Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki defected the al-Qaeda-linked group in late July due to ambiguities over its blatant hostility towards other rebel groups (namely Ahrar al-Sham and the Free Syrian Army).

Informed sources disclosed earlier this month that clashes among terrorist groups have intensified in Southeastern Idlib, leaving a number of militants dead or wounded.

The sources reported that the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) stormed the positions of Jeish al-Fateheen affiliated to Ahrar al-Sham in the town of Tahtaya, killing and wounding a number of the rival militants.

In the meantime, fighters of Hamoud al-Malik, the former commander of Ahrar al-Sham, engaged in clashes with former combatants of Jund al-Aqsa in the town of Ma'art Shamarin in Southern Idlib.

Intense infighting broke out in the Northern parts of Homs province as terrorists stationed in al-Rastan and Talbiseh regions clashed with each other over accusations of seeking reconciliation with the government.

Terrorists' Infighting Intensified in Northern Homs De-Escalation Zone

According to field reports, clashes began at several checkpoints between terrorists in Talbiseh and al-Rastan in Northern Homs which resulted in a number of injuries and arresting of several militants.

Meantime, the Syrian army choppers dropped thousands of fliers over the Northern parts of Homs, encouraging the people in the area to seek reconciliation with the government and fire the Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists from the region.

Also earlier this month, a new wave of infighting had erupted among the terrorist groups in Western Aleppo and militants of Tahrir al-Sham Hayat after the latter took control of several military positions of Nouralddeen al-Zinki rival terrorist group.

Tahrir al-Sham terrorists attacked Nouralddeen al-Zinki's military positions in Jamiat al-Rahal and Khan al-Asal West of Aleppo and managed to take control of their station and three headquarters paving the way for setting up new checkpoints and road blocks.

Meantime, Tahrir al-Sham terrorists arrested the elements of the TOW regiment of Nouralddeen al-Zinki.

Websites affiliated to the terrorist groups noted the new wave of violence in the Western parts of Aleppo province, and said that Tahrir al-Sham has gathered a large number of its terrorists and military equipment in the region and both sides are in a state of alert.

The former security commander of al-Tanf base in Syria revealed that his comrades have been selling arms to the ISIL terrorist group, adding that the US army took no action to stop the trade once it came in hold of relevant information.

US-Backed Militants Selling Weapons to ISIL in Syria at Al-Tanf Base
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000706

The Arabic website of Sputnik news agency quoted Mohammad al-Salam, a former security official at al-Tanf base in Syria, as saying that commander of the US-backed Maqawir al-Thorah militant group Muhanned al-Tala has sold the US-made weapons to the ISIL militants.

Noting that the equipment and weapons included SPG, Chas and Tata vehicles and a large number of M16 rifles, he said, "After the arms trade was disclosed, we informed the Americans that al-Tala is selling weapons to the ISIL but they took no action."

Al-Salam said that the US forces have also attempted to transfer the people in Deir Ezzur to al-Shadadi base in Hasaka to make them fight against the Syrian army once the war on ISIL is over.

An Arab media outlet reported earlier this month that tens of US soldiers and Free Syrian Army (FSA) militants have arrived in al-Shadadi region to participate in an imminent operation against ISIL in Deir Ezzur.

The Arabic-language al-Ahd news website reported that a military column, including 200 US soldiers and 100 FSA fighters have arrived in al-Shadadi region in Southern Hasaka in the last five days.

Al-Ahd further reported that special forces affiliated to the Syrian al-Qad movement headed by Ahmad al-Jarba intend to join the newly-arrived forces in al-Shadadi to participate in Deir Ezzur battle.

Al-Qad's moves came after the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces refused to cooperate with al-Jarba's forces.

The total number of al-Qad's fighters that have retreated towards their camps near the towns of Abu Khashab, Maleha al-Zero and Raj'an between Hasaka and Deir Ezzur provinces amounts to 3,000.

The US-backed terrorists in Syria have received EU-made armored vehicles, news sources reported on Thursday.

Terrorists in Syria Receive European Armored Vehicles
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000352

According to the Arabic website of Sputnik news agency, the militant groups in Syria have received the OT-64 , an armored personnel carrier (8x8), developed jointly by Poland and Czechoslovakia (CSSR).

It added that the vehicle was used by the member armies of Warsaw Treaty and have been brought from the military depots in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Experts believe that the vehicles have been brought to Syria to help the terrorists resist against the Syrian army's armored vehicles, including BTR-80, Vodnik and BMP-1.

A diplomatic source said in July that Russia gathered incontestable evidence proving the use of foreign weapons and ammunition by terrorist groups in Syria.

"Russian officers of the Center for Syrian Reconciliation registered on Saturday 48 mortar shelling of the Al-Qabas quarter from the positions of illegal armed formations in Ein Tarma and Jobar," the source said.

"Moreover, they gathered incontestable evidence proving that terrorists use foreign weapons and ammunition — took photos of shatters of the shells produced abroad with serial numbers," the source added.

UN humanitarian coordinator said the battle to recapture the ISIL stronghold of Raqqa by the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces is costing the lives of 27 civilians a day. And while the terrorists use residents as human shields, the US-led coalition often bombs escape routes.

UN: ISIL Slaughters People, about 27 Raqqa Residents Killed Daily in US-Led Coalition Strikes
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000562

“The UN estimates that an average of 27 people are being killed in Raqqa, every day,” Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Stephen O'Brien told the UN Security Council," RT reported.

O'Brien noted that up to 25,000 civilians are still trapped in the ISIL-besieged city and are being slaughtered in the crossfire between the sides in the ongoing battle, the last phase of which began in June.

“They risk being killed, either by airstrikes, or by ISIL snipers or mines if they try to flee, or being used as human shields if they remain,” O’Brien noted, urging all sides of the conflict to spare civilian lives.

Also Wednesday, the UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide revealed that coalition forces are targeting boats on the Euphrates river which serve as escape routes for civilians, while ISIL militants are killing anyone who tries to flee.

I am deeply disturbed by reports coming out of Raqqa of the horrendous situation faced by civilians caught up in the offensive to retake the city from the ISIL group,”said special adviser Adama Dieng. “The legitimate aim of retaking Raqqa must not be achieved at such a high cost to civilians.”

Some of those civilians, who made it alive out of Raqqa, spoke to RT at the Ain Issa refugee camp North of the city.

“The aircraft shelled a lot. This happened in Mishleb, the downtown area, and around us. ISIL was slaughtering people and throwing them next to our houses,” one internally displaced woman told RT’s Ruptly video agency.

“The shelling is targeting the civilians, it is the aircraft, the coalition. It shells the civilians. Four-storey houses of people were all bombed over in our neighborhood. For sure many have died. One of them is my cousin, he died in Raqqa by an airplane,” another refugee said.

Some former Raqqa residents said coalition aircraft sometimes used white phosphorous in populated areas, and in one instance allegedly killed 17 people.

SDF militants, supported by the US-led coalition, launched the offensive in Raqqa province in November last year. In June, the fighting progressed towards the ISIL-besieged city, the de facto capital of the self-proclaimed terrorist rule.

An estimated 1,000 ISIL terrorists are still resisting some 15,000 SDF forces for control of the city, Nowruz Ahmed, who sits on the military council of the US-backed ground force told Reuters earlier this week. She hopes the city will be liberated within the next two months. So far, according to Ahmed's assessment, the SDF has captured around 60 percent of the city and has most of the ISIL terrorists encircled.

“We cannot determine the time period in which the battle of Raqqa will end precisely because war has its conditions. But we do not expect it to last long, and according to our plans the battle will not take longer than two months from now,” Ahmed said.

While SDF and the US-led coalition battle to recapture Raqqa, Syrian government forces, aided by Russian air power, are also making a push to help liberate the besieged city. In July, Syrian forces secured 4 humanitarian routes to deliver aid from Damascus, Homs and Aleppo and evacuated civilians from the city in an effort to spare them from the coalition’s bombardment and ISIL's atrocities.

Facing increased pressure in Raqqa and elsewhere, ISIL terrorists have been trying to move its remaining forces along with tanks and other heavy weaponry to the Deir Ezzur area. As a result of their desperate attempt to regroup, some 800 terrorists were killed and 13 tanks and 29 pickup trucks with mounted high-caliber guns were destroyed by Syrian troops and Russian aircraft near the town of Ghanem Ali, located in the Eastern part of the Raqqa province South of the Euphrates.

The key Euphrates city of Deir Ezzur has been under terrorist siege for two and a half years after being cut off from government-held areas, but now, the Syrian Army and allied forces are pushing toward the besieged city.

Russian planes delivered 293 tons of food and medical supplies to Deir Ezzur in August, according to Russian defense ministry. It has also upped the number of sorties against ISIL to 60-70 per day as the push for Deir Ezzur gains momentum.

The Syrian army troops advanced to regions 2km away from a surrounded ISIL base in Eastern Hama.

Syrian Army Advances in Areas Near Last ISIL Base in Eastern Hama
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000819

A military field source said that the army forces have regained control of the village of al-Moshirfeh in Eastern Hama near Aqayrabat.

He added that since the battle in Aqayrabat is highly important to the ISIL, the terrorist group has well prepared for the battle and has dug a large number of ditches and planted mines in the region. The ISIL has also stockpiled a large number of weapons, tanks, sniper guns and missiles.

The source said that the Syrian army troops have now reached areas 2km away from Aqayrabat, adding that the anti-ISIL operations will further accelerate after the special 'ISIL Hunters' forces join the army.

A military source confirmed on Saturday that the Syrian Army troops have completed the siege on the terrorists in the Central part of the war-hit country.

The source reported that ISIL-held regions covering almost 3,000sq/km of area in Homs and Hama province are now under a full siege imposed by the army forces.

The source further added that the army men managed to advance against ISIL South of the town of Ithriya Northeast of Hama and reached their comrades that stormed ISIL's defense line from their positions North of al-Sha'er region in Eastern Homs and advanced towards Jabal al-Fasedah region in Eastern Hama.

The source went on to say that the army soldier have gained control over all the roads in the Eastern direction of the town of al-Salamiyah in Hama province, adding that ISIL withdrew a large number of its forces before the army gained control over the roads.

The source further said that most of the remaining pockets of ISIL terrorists in Aqayrabat region in Hama province are suicide attackers that are in their positions to carry out suicide raids on the government forces to delay the fall of the town of Aqayrabat to the army.

The ISIL terrorists are trapped in the circle of the army forces in Aqayrabat, one of their main strategic bastions in Hama, after they lost the town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs to the army men.

Military helicopters of the US-led coalition carried out another heliborne operation in Western Deir Ezzur to evacuate ISIL militants from the region, media reports said on Thursday.

US Army Conducts More Heliborne Operations to Take ISIL Terrorists Away from Deir Ezzur
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960609000561

The Kurdish-language Rudaw news website quoted local sources as saying that the US army carried out a heliborne operation in al-Souh region in the Southwestern parts of the town of al-Masrab in Western Deir Ezzur at 5pm (local time) on Wednesday, taking away a number of ISIL terrorists. The US army has conducted a growing number of similar heliborne operations to help senior ISIL leaders in Eastern Syria this year.

Local sources reported in July that a group of ISIL terrorists were transferred by a van from the town of Ayyash in Eastern Deir Ezzur to a ISIL-held desert region in the Eastern direction of the town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs, where three helicopters of the coalition were hovering over the region. One of the helicopters landed but the other two continued to fly over the region.

The three helicopters flew towards North and entered Raqqa airspace, adding that there was no information about their exact destination.

The sources further said that the ISIL militants taken away by the American choppers could have been one of the spying groups used by Washington via Jeish Maqavir al-Thowrah militant group to materialize its objectives in the region.

More reports said in June that the US-led coalition aircraft carried out heliborne operation in regions controlled by ISIL terrorists in Northern Raqqa. The heliborne operation to save the ISIL members was conducted in the Northern parts of Raqqa.

Meantime, other reports said that the predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forces who were stationed in Raqqa under the US supervision allow the ISIL terrorists to leave Raqqa city.

Azerbaijan-US Relations
_http://www.azconsulatela.org/Azerbaijan/Azerbaijan-US-Relations
Azerbaijan and the United States enjoy a strong strategic partnership founded on shared values and interests. Secretary Hillary Clinton, during her July 2010 trip to Azerbaijan, noted that “the bonds between the United States and Azerbaijan are deep, important, and durable.”

A strong partnership with the United States plays a major role in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy. This has held true ever since the U.S. recognized Azerbaijan’s independence on December 25, 1991 and moved swiftly to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries two months later. U.S. opened an Embassy in Bakı in March 1992. Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Washington, DC was opened in April 1993.

The first official visit of a head of state from newly independent Azerbaijan to the United States took place in 1997 when President Heydar Aliyev visited Washington, D.C. at the invitation of President Bill Clinton. The two Presidents met at the White House on August 1, 1997. Several documents were signed aimed at further improving bilateral relations between the two countries. President Clinton also reaffirmed U.S.

President Heydar Aliyev meeting President Bill Clinton support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.

After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Azerbaijan was among the first countries to join the International Anti-Terror Coalition. In a strong show of support, Azerbaijan granted unconditional clearance for U.S. military planes to enter Azerbaijan’s air space long before Operation Enduring Freedom began in Afghanistan.

Azerbaijan provides ground and naval transit for roughly 35% of the international coalition’s supplies bound for Afghanistan.

Today, Azerbaijan remains a staunch ally of the U.S. in its fight against international terrorism. Azerbaijani troops have been serving in Afghanistan shoulder to shoulder with U.S soldiers, just as they did previously in the Balkans and in Iraq.

The U.S. and Azerbaijan also participate jointly in the Caspian Guard Program that targets the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, terrorism and smuggling, as well as secures and protects Caspian energy and transportation corridors.

The first official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the United States took place in April 2006, giving an additional boost to many areas of cooperation, including political, economic, military, and security spheres. This successful visit highlighted the important scope of bilateral relations and paved the way for the robust development of partnerships between the two nations.

In September 2010, President Ilham Aliyev met with President Barack Obama in New York on the sidelines of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting was of great importance in terms of discussing a range of bilateral and multilateral issues and setting a concrete agenda for the further development of the Azerbaijani-U.S. partnership.

Inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries are also expanding. The Azerbaijan Caucus in the U.S. Congress plays a visible role in increasing the understanding of the importance of strong U.S.-Azerbaijan relations. The visit of an Azerbaijan Parliamentary delegation headed by the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, in her capacity as Chairperson of the Azerbaijan-U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Working Group, to Washington, D.C. in December 2006 contributed significantly to strengthening such ties.

Economic and commercial relations are dynamically developing. The U.S. is one of the largest investors in Azerbaijan. U.S. companies are involved in offshore oil development projects with Azerbaijan.

The U.S. and Azerbaijan have signed a bilateral trade agreement, which entered into force in April 1995 and confers on Azerbaijan the status of “most favored nation”. The United States also has a bilateral investment treaty with Azerbaijan and in 2008 named

Azerbaijan is a beneficiary country under the Generalized System of Preferences program. The establishment of the Economic Partnership Commission in 2007 has been an important step toward the advancement of close collaborative relations between the two countries.

Azerbaijan remains one of the most significant trading partners of the U.S. in the CIS. In 2011, the bilateral trade turnover amounted to $2.8 billion with the positive balance on the Azerbaijani side. It is quite encouraging that over the last few years Azerbaijan’s economic and trade partnership with the U.S. has grown to encompass quite new areas. So, in 2010, Azerbaijan signed a contract with Boeing – worth US$1 billion – for the purchase of eight civilian airplanes. This contract helped support more than 11,000 American jobs across the United States.

In June 2010, Azerbaijan signed a contract with Virginia-based Orbital Sciences Corporation to design, build, and deliver Azerbaijan’s first communications satellite. This contract is worth US$205.3 million, and has created 1,500 new American jobs.

In 2010, Azerbaijan signed a billion-dollar worth contract with Boeing, which helped support more than 11,000 American jobs across the U.S.

The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan has invested approximately US$3 billion in the United States, including in U.S. Treasury, Federal Home Loan Bank, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bonds, as well as U.S. corporate bonds and equities.

I'm following the Twitter feed #DeirEzzor right now, and some sources say that the SAA is only 8km away now...

It would be a significant advancement, in my opinion, since Deir Ez-Zor's location was used as a staging area by Daesh to retake Palmyra a second time.
Plus, US-led forces have stranded a convoy of 17 buses carrying ISIL militants from the Western Qalamoun region, in an agreement with the Syrian Army to transport them to Deir ez-Zor, creating a stalemate. It's my assumption, that the Syrian and Russian forces have been transporting the terrorists, through agreements, to one specific location ( Deir ez-Zor) to concentrate them in one given area, so they either have to completely surrender to the Syrian government or face elimination? In the meantime, US forces have attempted to transfer their proxies in Deir Ezzur - to al-Shadadi base in Hasaka.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Syrian army is advancing toward the besieged city of Deir ez-Zor with the assistance of the Russian aviation.

Syrian Army Drives Daesh Out of Key Positions on Palmyra-Deir ez-Zor Highway
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201709041057069619-syrian-army-deir-ez-zor-palmyra-russia/

The Syrian government forces have driven Daesh terrorists out of strategic positions on the Palmyra-Deir ez-Zor highway, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Syrian army's units conducting the offensive from the direction of as-Sukhnah (city in the Raqqa province), have driven Daesh terrorists out from positions they had controlled on the highway from Palmyra to Deir-ez-Zor."

The ministry added that the Syrian Armed Force's group conducting the operation to free Deir ez-Zor has advanced 8 kilometers over the past 24 hours
and captured 2 strategic heights in the region.

Russian airstrikes near Deir-ez-Zor helping the Syrian army's operation left some 70 terrorists dead and injured, the ministry said. Russian warplanes have conducted a total of 80 combat sorties to support the Damascus' offensive.

Two tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, over 10 off-road vehicles equipped with heavy arms have been destroyed as a result of the [Russian] airstrikes. Terrorists lost a total of 70 fighters who were killed or injured," the Russian ministry said.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the victory over Daesh terrorists in Deir ez-Zor and the lifting of the city's siege "will become the strategic loss of the international terrorist group in the Syrian Arab Republic."

The Syrian army forces continued operations to break the terrorists' siege on Deir Ezzur, regaining control of a new region.

Hampering Peace: US Aerial Blockade on Syrian Buses Carrying Civilians Exceeds Expectations
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960613001795

Just because the United States doesn’t understand it doesn't mean it isn't so. The manner in which the people of Syria have been treated by the Americans has exceeded all our expectations. Consider this:

Last week, and on humanitarian grounds, the Syrian Army agreed to a deal that allows the transfer of ISIL militants from Western Qalamoun region into eastern Syria. The problem is, the US is hampering the evacuation deal with the ISIL terrorist group. According to a statement released by the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, US-led forces have left stranded most of the convoy’s 17 buses in the Syrian desert by destroying the road to Deir Ezzur. They are also preventing anyone from reaching them even to provide humanitarian assistance to families, the sick and wounded, and the elderly.

is obvious that the US is trying to hamper the evacuation deal. The US move to impose an aerial blockade on buses carrying women and children as part of a deal between Hezbollah and ISIL is intended to undermine the latest military achievements by the resistance movement along the Syrian-Lebanese border. The whole idea is to negatively impact the victory of the Lebanese government and the resistance over the terrorist group. Nor is that all:

-There is a fundamental difference between fighting the terrorist group and killing innocent people. The blockade has no military value and violates International Humanitarian Law. If not removed, it could inevitably turn into a humanitarian disaster.

-The United Nations should intervene and save lives before it gets too late. The deal is not about purging ISIL from Qalamoun and transferring its militants close to the Iraqi border. Nor is it about giving them a breather. Hezbollah launched a major push on July 21 to clear both sides of Lebanon's border with Syria of armed terrorists. Moreover, the terrorist group is disintegrating rapidly and there is nothing its foreign backers can do to save it.

-The US is desperate to save its terror proxies and keep the conflict going. Trying to save its proxies from total collapse, the US has engineered the ongoing blockade. It wants to give the impression that ISIL’s shocking defeat along the Syrian-Lebanese border was due to internal divisions within the group, rather than the superiority of Hezbollah forces and Syrian government troops.

-The Americans believe they can still salvage ISIL and other groups, which will be easier said than done. The undisputed victory of allied forces is raising red flags in Washington. The US is left with very few options to support in Syria anymore, excluding, that is, the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces. All groups championed as “moderate” have either been defeated by the allied forces or devoured by ISIL and Nusra Front.

-Even the Israelis are very worried about what happens to Syria, as it directly threatens their expansionist policies on the Golan Heights. They hope very much that a rebirth of “moderate” terror groups like Ahrar al-Sham can be engineered by helping the US to derail the ongoing evacuation deal. If that fails, they will have no option but to try and create a new proxy militia to advance their illicit interests - something that will be very hard with the allied forces of Iran, Syria, Russia and Hezbollah now controlling most of the ground and airspace in Syria.

Evidently, the warmongers are desperate and might take desperate measures in these desperate times. They might even go ahead and attack the ISIL buses, also carrying women and children. This should come as surprise to no one. For the month of July, the Pentagon regime found only 13 “credible” incidents across both Iraq and Syria, and a total of 61 civilians killed in US airstrikes. This is one of the highest figures admitted for a single month by US officials, despite being an obvious underestimation. Airwars, a UK-based NGO that offers more comprehensive documentation, notes scores of US airstrike incidents, and thousands killed in the strikes. After targeting buses carrying women and children, expect scores of deaths once again get revised dramatically downward to a mere fraction of the actual count.

To be sure, the US has set out since 2011 to prevent a peaceful solution to Syria’s war. If the US genuinely wanted an end to the terrible bloodshed they would be standing behind similar evacuation deals and encouraging the so-called ‘moderates’ to halt their campaign of terror and sign up to the political process.

An Israeli-US school has been set up in the terrorist-held Idlib province in Northwestern Syria, an Arab media outlet reported on Monday, adding that the school is managed by an Israeli tradesman who is a citizen of the United States.

Israel Starts Education Programs in Terrorist-Held Regions in Syria
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960613000853

The Arabic-language Elam al-Harbi news website quoted the Hebrew-language Maariv daily newspaper as disclosing that Moti Kahana, an Israeli tradesman who lives in the US, is the director of the Israeli-US school in Idlib province that has 90 students and 15 teachers.

Two similar Israeli-American schools had earlier been set up in terrorist-held regions near the Golan borders in Southeastern Syria, the news website reported.

Elam al-Harbi further said that the curriculum at these schools are different from those in Syria's official education program, and aims to change people's view towards Zionist regime.

The website added that the students can later study at Israeli universities after graduation.

Tel Aviv has has long been backing up various terrorist groups in Syria.

Local sources said in July that several terrorists, who had been wounded in the battle with the Syrian government forces in Quneitra province, were taken to an Israeli hospital.

The sources reported that a number of injured members of Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) were transferred to the Israeli hospitals via al-Hamidiyeh region in Quneitra countryside.

The army troops repelled Al-Nusra Front's offensives in the Southwestern province of Quneitra, leaving tens of terrorists dead and many more wounded. Later, the Israeli aircraft attacked the Syrian government forces' tanks and artillery positions South-West of the war-hit country.

The UK has ended training of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorists in al-Tanf base and withdrawn from the base in Southern Homs near the border with Iraq, a Lebanese media outlet reported on Monday.

The English-language AMN website reported that the United Kingdom has withdrawn its troops from the coalition-operated al-Tanf base in Syria’s Southwestern desert and ended all military assistance hitherto provided to FSA-affiliated mercenaries in the region.

The UK-based Daily Telegraph reported the UK's wind-down of support for the FSA militants began in June of this year when at least 20 special forces troops were confirmed to have withdrawn from the al-Tanf base.

The former security commander of al-Tanf base in Syria revealed on Thursday that his comrades were selling arms to the ISIL terrorist group, adding that the US army took no action to stop the trade once it came in hold of relevant information.

The Arabic website of Sputnik news agency quoted Mohammad al-Salam, a former security official at al-Tanf base in Syria, as saying that commander of the US-backed Maqawir al-Thorah militant group Muhanned al-Tala sold the US-made weapons to the ISIL militants.

Noting that the equipment and weapons included SPG, Chas and Tata vehicles and a large number of M16 rifles, he said, "After the arms trade was disclosed, we informed the Americans that al-Tala is selling weapons to the ISIL but they took no action."

Al-Salam said that the US forces also attempted to transfer the people in Deir Ezzur to al-Shadadi base in Hasaka to make them fight against the Syrian army once the war on ISIL is over.

Thousands of files containing personal data on former military, intelligence and government workers have allegedly been exposed to public view for months in a massive security lapse allowed by a US-based recruitment firm.

9,400 Resumes of US Military, Intel Contractors Exposed in Massive Security Lapse
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960613001177

Some 9,400 sensitive files were found unsecured on a misconfigured public-facing Amazon cloud server, RT reported.

They allegedly contained personal information on former military and intelligence staff, some with classified or Top Secret security clearances, who applied for work at US-based private security firm TigerSwan, according to Gizmodo.

The files, discovered by a researcher at the California-based cybersecurity company UpGuard, were found in a folder called “resumes.” It contained CVs of thousands of US citizens, some granted Top Secret security clearances, indicating they might have worked with the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency or the US Secret Service, among other government agencies.

“A cursory examination of some of the exposed resumes indicates not merely the varied and elite caliber of many of the applicants as experienced intelligence and military figures, but sensitive, identifying personal details,” UpGuard said in a statement cited by Gizmodo.

According to the Hill, the files also included resumes of a police chief and a UN employee specializing in the Middle East, as well as details about Iraqi and Afghan citizens who have cooperated and worked alongside US military in their countries.

Some of the people affected were apparently involved in a number of high-profile operations during their careers. Gizmodo wrote that at least one of the applicants claimed he was in charge of transportation of nuclear activation codes and weapons components.

One applicant said he worked as a “warden advisor” at the notorious Abu Ghraib detention site near Baghdad, describing his experience as “establishing safe and secure correctional facilities for the humane care, custody, and treatment of persons incarcerated in the Iraqi corrections system.”

The files, lying on an insecure Amazon S3 bucket, included personal contact information, such as addresses, phone numbers and private email accounts.

The data breach has been first attributed to TigerSwan, a North Carolina-based private security firm, but the company pointed to TalentPen, an outsourced vendor hired to process new job applicants.

“At no time was there ever a data breach of any TigerSwan server,” TigerSwan said.“All resume files in TigerSwan’s possession are secure. We take seriously the failure of TalentPen to ensure the security of this information and regret any inconvenience or exposure our former recruiting vendor may have caused these applicants.”

Founded in 2008 by Lt. Col. James Reese, a retired Delta Force operative, TigerSwan has operated as a US military and State Department contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as within the US on behalf of corporations.

Chris Vickery, an UpGuard analyst who discovered the lapse, said this was the result of misconfigured security settings. “I hope we were the only people to find them,” he told The Hill.

While the files were discovered in July, they were not removed from the cloud server until the end of August, the outlet wrote.

Syrian state news agency SANA reported that the three-year siege of the city of Deir ez-Zor has been broken due to the Syrian government forces' operation.

A military source told Sputnik Arabic that the Syrian army with the support of the Russian aviation broke the siege around Deir ez-Zor with the first government tank passing through terrorists' defense lines after terrorist positions had been shelled.

According to the source, the decision to take control of the city was made today. At present, a Syrian flag has been hoisted over the city.

Syrian President Bashar Assad congratulated Deir ez-Zor defense commanders with the victory in the fight for Deir ez-Zor, which has been besieged by Daesh for three years.

Syrian President Bashar Assad, in a telephone conversation with Deir ez-Zor defense commanders, congratulated the city's defenders on the lifting of a three-year blockade organized by the Daesh terrorist group, the Syrian presidential press service said in a statement Tuesday.

"It will be recorded in history how you, despite your small number, sacrificed the most valuable for the sake of civilians… Today, you and your friends fought shoulder to shoulder to lift the siege of the city," the statement quoted Assad as saying.

Russian Vladimir Putin sent a telegram congratulating Assad on the success of the Deir ez-Zor operation conducted by Syrian army on the ground assiated by Russian airstrikes.

"President Putin sent a telegram to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Assad, in which he highly praised this strategic victory and congratulated the Syrian president on this important step towards the liberation of the territory of Syria from terrorism," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The Russian Defense Ministry revealed on Tuesday that Russian airstrikes helped the Syrian army to break through terrorist defenses and lift Deir ez-Zor's siege. Moreover, the Russian strikes destroyed terrorist fortifications, strongholds and underground tunnels.

Russian strikes on Daesh (ISIS, outlawed in Russia) terrorist group's positions, including today's frigate's strikes with cruise missiles from the Mediterranean, allowed the Syrian Armed Forces to break the 3-year siege of Deir ez-Zor, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on Tuesday. Now, the Syrian goverment forces are engaged in street fights to free districts remaining under the control of militants.

The Russian strikes conducted simultaneously by aviation and a warship destroyed Daesh fortified areas, undergound tunnels, artillery positions and ammunition depots near Deir ez-Zor.

"Thanks to the results of a massive strike by Russian aviation and cruise missiles, Syrian government troops' units […] swiftly attacked the defense of Daesh terrorists and deblocked the city of Deir ez Zor."

The Russian military revealed that Daesh terrorists used so-called 'jihadmobiles' armored vehicles with explosives to stop the advance of the Syrian government troops in Deir-ez-Zor; some 50 vehicles were destroyed.

"Terrorists tried to stop the breakthrough of the Syrian troops, massively using suicide bombers driving armored vehicles. The assault units of the Syrian government forces destroyed more than 50 terrorists' 'jihadmobiles'."

Daesh's defeat near Deir ez-Zor will be a strategic loss to the terrorists in Syria, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

"The major defeat over Daesh in the Deir ez-Zor region and de-blocking of the city will become a strategic defeat of the international terrorist group in Syria."

The Syrian Air Force intensified combat flights over ISIL's positions and movements in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, targeting a convoy of terrorists' vehicles and a depot of their arms and ammunition on Tuesday.

The warplanes bombed heavily a convoy of ISIL's vehicles while fleeing al-Shoula region towards al-Tayem oilfield, destroying ten vehicles and killing a large number of militants.

Also, the fighter jets pounded ISIL's positions in regions near al-Jazeereh university in the village of al-Baqaliyeh in the Northwestern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city, destroying a depot of their arms and munitions.

Reports said earlier today that the Syrian Air Force targeted a long convoy of ISIL's vehicles carrying arms, ammunition and fresh fighters towards the terrorist group's positions near the 137th Artillery Brigade Base in Western Deir Ezzur, inflicting major damage on the column.

The army aircraft carried out several combat sorties over ISIL's movements near the salt mine near the town of al-Tabni in the Western countryside of Deir Ezzur, destroying most of the vehicles and killing a number of terrorists.

The ISIL intended to transfer the convoy of forces, arms and ammunition to the group's positions near the 137th Artillery Brigade Base.

According to a press release issued by Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve, Daesh fighters and their families are spending the seventh day in the Syrian desert.

Convoy With Daesh Families Stuck in Syrian Desert for 7th Day - Coalition
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201709051057108433-daesh-convoy-desert-syria/

Daesh fighters and their families are spending the seventh day in the Syrian desert east of As Sukhnah, Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release on Tuesday.

"Today is the seventh day ISIS [Daesh] fighters and their families have spent with a bus convoy now stalled in the Syrian Desert east of As Sukhnah," the release stated.

The release noted that the coalition and Iraqi forces were not part of the agreement between Hezbollah and the Syrian government to allow the fighters to travel to the Syria-Iraq border.

The coalition has allowed food and water deliveries to reach the convoy but will take action against Daesh wherever possible without harming noncombatants, the release added.

The coalition also said that six of the original 17 buses in the convoy have returned back into territory controlled by Syria.

The US-led coalition refuted the information that it had targeted a convoy with Daesh terrorists on the Syrian-Lebanon border. Daesh's evacuation from the area is part of its temporary truce deal with the Hezbollah movement that had been conducting a major anti-terrorist operation in the region.

https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201708301056932512-coalition-us-syria-lebanon-daesh-convoy/

The US-led coalition did not strike a Daesh terrorist group convoy fleeing Lebanon but did strike the road upon which they were traveling along with individual vehicles and fighters, Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release.

"The Coalition has not struck the convoy. In accordance with the law of armed conflict, the Coalition cratered the road heading east between Hamaymah and Abul Kamal to prevent the further transport of ISIS [Daesh] fighters to the border area of our Iraqi partners and struck individual vehicles and fighters that were clearly identified as ISIS," the release said.

The coalition said it is not aparty to any agreement between Lebanon's Hezbollah, Damascus and Daesh.

On Sunday, the Lebanese army and Hezbollah declared a ceasefire to hold negotiations with Daesh terrorists. The terrorists agreed to return the remains of eight Lebanese soldiers abducted in 2014, as well as the bodies of Shiite militia fighters. In return, the Syrian side agreed to allow the evacuation of Daesh terrorists to Abu-Kamal city in the country's northeastern Deir ez-Zor province. Both the Lebanese military and Hezbollah said they believe that Daesh's evacuation indicated their surrender.

Hezbollah, along with the Syrian army, has been conducting operations against Daesh on the Syrian side of the border. The operation resulted in significant advance of Lebanese and Syrian troops in the region and severe losses of Daesh.

On Sunday, the Syrian army and Hezbollah Shiite fighters announced that they had completely freed the Syrian mountainous region of western Qalamoun on the border with Lebanon from Daesh.

The Syrian Army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with a group of ISIL terrorists in Eastern Hama on Tuesday and managed to kill a number of them, seizing their US-made weapons, including anti-tank TOW missiles.

The army men seized a number of US-made anti-tank TOW missiles, arms and ammunition in an ambush operation against a group of ISIL terrorists along a road that connects al-Sa'an town to Ithriya town.

The ISIL group had attacked the army positions, but, they came under the army soldiers' ambush operation and suffered heavy casualties.

In the meantime, the army units found several arms and ammunition depots of ISIL in the town of Tahmaz in Eastern Hama with 100,000 ballets, tens of heavy machineguns and several computer and telecommunication systems.

Also, the army men found 47 missiles in ISIL's positions while carrying out mop-up operations in the newly-liberated town of Aqayrabat. The ISIL were using the missile to hit residential areas in the town of al-Salamiyah.

Sources affiliated to the terrorists disclosed on Tuesday that the terrorist groups have carried out a joint coup against Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) and Abu Mohammad al-Joulani in Idlib to prevent possible war in the region.

Large-Scale Coup against Al-Nusra Front Reported in Syria's Idlib
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13960614000604

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news quoted the sources as saying that all the terrorist groups in Idlib in Northwestern Syria have stormed the positions of Al-Nusar Front and al-Joulani in a military coup.

Al-Hadath further added that talks between the Syrian Army and representatives of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are underway to get rid of Al-Nusra and al-Joulani in order to prevent eruption of clashes and pave the ground for restoring peace and tranquility in the region.

The Syrian government forces have made fresh gains in the war on terrorism in the provinces of Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Raqqa and Deir Ezzur, purging the entire country of ISIL terrorists as soon as possible.

Relevant reports said in July that Al-Nusra Front ultimately pushed Ahrar al-Sham back from Idlib city after weeks of bloody clashes in Northwestern Syria.

Informed sources affiliated to the terrorist groups said that Al-Nusra gained full control over Idlib city and has driven the entire members of Ahrar al-Sham out of the city.

They added that regardless of the ceasefire, fierce clashes between Al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham were underway to take control of passageways and command centers.

In the meantime, media activists said that Al-Nusra's superiority over Ahrar al-Sham in Idlib seems to be against its interests because it increased the possibility of imminent military operations against them by Damascus, Moscow and even Ankara.

Syrian state media published moments ago a video that shows the moment that Syrian troops who were under siege for a little over 2 years by ISIS at the Brigade Base 137 meet the advancing Syrian Army elite unit, the Tiger Forces.

The Tiger Forces have spearheaded the operation to lift the ISIS-imposed siege on Deir Ezzor which achieved this outcome just over an hour ago.

Now with the siege lifted, the Syrian Army with the backing from the Russian and Syrian air forces, will begin the next phase of the Deir Ezzor campaign, to completely expel ISIS from the city.

The Syrian Army have had no time to fully celebrate the lifting of the ISIS-imposed siege on Deir Ezzor and have launched the second phase of their Deir Ezzor offensive.

BREAKING: No time to celebrate, Syrian Army launches second phase of Deir Ezzor operation
http://www.fort-russ.com/2017/09/breaking-no-time-to-celebrate-syrian.html

Al-Masdar News reported that "led by the Tiger Forces and elements of the 17th Division, the Syrian Arab Army kicked off the second phase of their Deir Ezzor offensive by pushing south of the 137th Brigade Base towards the Ayyash Storage area."

Al-Masdar News continued to report that "according to a military source in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Arab Army is steadily advancing south towards the Ayyash Storage area, while also building an imperative buffer-zone around the 137th Brigade Base."

It is expected to be intense battle to completely expel ISIS from the eastern Syrian city as it remains one of their last few major areas of control in the Middle East.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that North Korea's Kim Jong Un would have his people "eat grass" before giving up his nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.

Putin was attending a meeting in Xiamen, China, of leaders of five emerging economic powers known as BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Speaking at a news conference touching on a wide range of issues, the Russian leader echoed a phrase attributed to former Pakistan Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the father of Benazir Bhutto, who said in 1965 that Pakistanis "will eat grass, even go hungry" to acquire an atomic bomb. The South Asian country detonated its first nuclear device in 1998.

"They would rather eat grass but will not give up the [nuclear] program if they do not feel safe," Putin was quoted by The Associated Press as saying.

He described the bombastic rhetoric being traded between Washington and Pyongyang in recent weeks as "military hysteria."

"[This] will lead to no good," Putin said. "It could cause a global catastrophe and an enormous loss of life."

As we reported on Monday, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told an emergency Security Council meeting on Monday that Pyongyang was "begging for war."

Putin said that given the North Korean leadership's determination to acquire weapons of mass destruction, he doubted whether sanctions would have any deterrent effect.

Asked by reporters what he thought about the possibility of President Trump being impeached, Putin also quipped that Trump is "not my bride, and I am not his groom."

He also took the opportunity to lash out at the United States for closing Russian diplomatic compounds. The closing of two luxury estates, one in Maryland and another in New York, by the Obama administration in December came in retaliation for Russian interference in U.S. presidential elections.

Putin called the seizure of the compounds "an obvious violation of property rights." Putin said that Russia would sue the U.S. over the closure, an action that was confirmed later by the Kremlin.

This is definitely worrisome but we just have to "Wait and see" I guess.

This was Posted earlier and gives some background of what the U.S., the Pentagon and it's allies did to the Country of Korea. The exact same forces are responsible for dividing Korea into "North - South" and for the last 65 years - has interfered in the affairs of both sides - to keep them separated. Yet, the Koreans, in both the North and South wish "to unify" and make their Country whole again.

All the bluster and highly publicized "rants and accusations" from the American side, of the North developing and testing "nukes" fail to disclose, the U.S. and the Pentagon/NATO have already supplied the South with Nuclear arms, along with building an 11 Billion dollar Military base. Could it be reasoned - that the weapons delivered to South Korea are intended to face Russia's direction - and that North Korea's Kim Jong Un erratic behavior is meant to destabilize the Pentagon's plans, while also protecting it's own back? And that Putin is aware of Kim Jong Un's position and reasons for his actions?

“We Burned Down Every Town in North Korea” August 21, 2017
https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/08/21/we-burned-down-every-town-in-north-korea/

The US public wants to know why North Korea is so paranoid, militarily hostile and boastful. And why do the leaders in the capital city Pyongyang point their fingers at the US every time they test another rocket or bomb? Sixty-five years after the US burned down every town in North Korea, the US military is now simultaneously bombing or rocketing seven different non-nuclear countries. The US conducts military exercises with South Korea off the North’s coastline twice a year.

Below is a video interview with Patrick Henningsen and Mike Robinson with Eva Bartlett, who has just returned from a trip in North Korea. Just like her trip to Syria, to learn the facts, she produces video clips to back up her claims that what the Western media is reporting about North Korea is pure propaganda.
Eva Bartlett spent some time in South Korea. years ago, as a teacher to help pay off a College loan and is familiar with their culture. According to Eva, there is very little difference between the way the North and South conduct their social and economic affairs. It's the West's intervention that has kept them separated.

South Korea cannot accept war as an option to deal with the North Korean nuclear threat, a senior Seoul diplomat said Tuesday in the wake of Pyongyang's sixth and most powerful atomic test.

Korean vice FM rules out war on Korean Peninsula
http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20170906000221

Second Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun reminded a forum here that Washington has repeatedly put "all options" on the table over North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

But war cannot be an option, he said.

South Korea's defense ministry announced Thursday the deployment of a THAAD missile defense system has been completed in a "tentative" step to counter urgent threats from North Korea.

THAAD system deployment completed: S. Korea (Photos)
http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20170907000309

The announcement came soon after the US Forces Korea (USFK) transported four additional THAAD rocket launchers into its new base in Seongju, some 300 kilometers south of Seoul, despite fierce protests by local residents and activists.

Thousands of police were mobilized to help clear the way for a convoy of USFK vehicles carrying the launchers, construction and other related materials.

"(The allies) completed the tentative deployment of the THAAD system today, as (they) agreed to additionally deploy the four remaining launchers," the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.

It's part of measures to protect the life and security of the people from the North's ever-improving nuclear and missile programs, added the ministry.

Ministry officials pointed out that USFK will have the capability to operate a THAAD battery by adding the four truck-mounted launchers to the two others already in place at the Seongju site.

In April, a powerful X-band radar station, along with a fire control and communications unit, was also installed at the former golf course. A THAAD battery is known to require at least six rocket launchers. THAAD is the acronym for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense.

"The battery will be operational as soon as the US finishes its internal procedures," the ministry's spokesman Moon Sang-gyun said at a press briefing. He would not predict when the whole battery will be ready to intercept North Korean missiles.

USFK officials also confirmed that the four launchers have been installed under the "existing alliance decision."

They took note of cooperation with the South Korean government and extensive security assistance from police but stopped short of giving details on the operation of the THAAD battery.

The South Korean ministry made it clear that the decision of whether to permanently deploy the THAAD equipment in the country will depend on the results of a "thorough and fair" environmental impact assessment.

It added it will hold consultations with "relevant" neighboring countries on the THAAD issue.

It was apparently referring to China and Russia, which have strongly protested the allies' move. They claim the US THAAD system on the peninsula will further destabilize regional security and will be used to expand Washington's military influence.

Angelburst29,

The West is definitely over demonizing North Korea but it is the people of those divided countries who have and probably will suffer even more.

I watched a very interesting video that interviews an author, Michael Malice, done by Stefan Molyneux. I do think the people of both North and South Korea want reunification. Of course we know what the globalists want.

After listening to the interview I realize it is now a very complicated situation due to all the government players involved. Kim Jong-un is a questionable ruler I think. The North has suffered tremendously. Whether is all Kim Jong-un's doing is debatable I suppose. If anyone has the time I think this video is worth watching.

Just my opinion but I suggest - you give your statements - further thought?

You state, "I realize it is now a very complicated situation due to all the government players involved." And then you follow it up with "Kim Jong-un is a questionable ruler I think." (?)

"ALL" of those government players are "ALL" outside interference and "without a Declaration of War and without warning" invaded the north of Korea 65 years ago and nearly wiped out the population and it's infrastructure - off the face of the Earth! Then those same government players, took up illegal occupation and sub-divided the Country of Korea in two. The north of Korea has had to sacrifice and rebuild from the bottom - up - to where it is now. Their elected ruler, Kim Jong-un has taken steps "to protect" the North, while the South of Korea is being "weaponized" by the occupying force, against the wishes of the South Koreans and it's newly elected President. Those weapons might be pointed at Russia but could very easily be turned on to North Korea, with devastating effects? Why would Kim Jong-un be considered a questionable ruler in testing and displaying Missile launches .....
when the exact same behavior is displayed in every NATO/Pentagon Drill? Is Kim Jong-un being demonized because he doesn't give his Drill's a macho fancy name like - Operation Inherent Resolve?

Putting the situation in simpler terms - imagine a bunch of hooligans breaking into your home and trashing half of it beyond recognition, then deciding to illegally occupy the other half. Through domination and intimidation, the invading force control both sides. You have no means at your disposal to fight back and force the invaders out, so you go about clearing the damage done to your home and start from scratch in replacing it's contents to sustain some form of civilize lifestyle. In the process, you also start to devise methods to protect yourself, family, and replaced contents, etc. from destruction - least History repeat itself. When the hooligans discover you have taken up measures to counteract their interference, they try to bully you back into submission. You, on the other hand, take a stand to defend yourself and your domain. The hooligans resort to putting on a public display, blaming you for infractions that are minor - compared to their own offences, to divert attention away from them, making you the scape-goat. The general public are lead to believe - you're the Demon and trouble maker.

For me personally, the more I learn about North Korea and Kim Jong-un, the less I see him as a Demon or a "questionable ruler".
