I just read that Asma al-Assad has leukemia after conquering breast cancer. This is so sad. :-(

The United States Used Depleted Uranium in Syria

This study was done on uranium miners:
The nested case-control study of leukemia mortality found that the estimated uranium exposure was positively, but not significantly, associated with non-chronic lymphocytic leukemia (non-CLL) risk [74].
A combined dose-response analysis of small bowel and colon (not rectal) cancers yielded a statistically significant ERR [81].
So, miners are in closest contact with uranium in the mine and depleted uranium is significantly weaker:
The less radioactive and non-fissile 238U constitutes the main component of depleted uranium.
Except when you begin to look, suddenly the ducks start walking and quacking. It almost looks like Deep State Sponsored Scientific Negligence™©℗®:

1. There is limited information about health effects and mechanism of DU after environmental exposure. [..] After using of DU ammunition on battle fields about 10 years ago, DU has been repeatedly suggested as the cause of cancer, leukemia and other health effects among people who were present at site where DU ammunition had been used during conflicts such as Gulf War, Kosovo, Bosnia and Montenegro civil conflicts.

2. What? Why did they do this? But Mighty Unkle Science said.. depleted uranium is not so bad.. Oh, wait!:

But Damascus is far away from the battlefield! Without doubt Asma al-Assad could NOT have become sick from depleted Uranium caused cancer..
Sure! After the Chernobyl disaster Uncle Wind and Cousin Rain brought radiation 700km / 434miles to the West and doused my small village, then went ONWARD to pollute multiple countries. My mother suddenly developed heart failure, she had to be treated - I still remember us visiting her in the far away satanorium. My grandfather died in a heart attack, my grandmother developed reproductive system cancer (entirely removed via surgery). My sister got gravely ill from a rare & frequently fatal blood disease and I developed semi-benign nose-cancer, which was removed via surgery.
Radiation arriving from far away sources? No problemo!

Something with American drones is nothing but trouble.
A Russian fighter jet has forced the American MQ-9 Reaper drone out of Syrian airspace
An impressive video has appeared online showing a Russian Su-35 fighter jet flying in close proximity to an American MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The footage shows that weapons – missiles and bombs - are suspended under the wings of the drone. However, what was suspended from the Su-35 remains unknown.

According to Syrian Air defense sources, a joint Russian-Syrian patrol on combat duty united the intruder - an American MQ-9 Reaper drone - from the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic

The American MQ-1 Grey Eagle attack drone crashed in Syria
An American MQ-1 Grey Eagle reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed in the province of Deir ez-Zor in Syria. The incident occurred in an active combat zone, but there is no accurate information about the causes of the disaster yet. The wreckage of the drone was found at the crash site, and an investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

Currently, it remains unclear whether the UAV was shot down or fell for technical reasons. Usually, the United States explains the loss of such devices by technical malfunctions, but this time other versions have appeared. Some Syrian sources claim that there was a so-called "friendly fire" – friendly fire, and the drone was shot down by the Americans themselves, who mistook it for an Iranian drone.

The cost of the crashed MQ-1 Grey Eagle is estimated at $ 20-25 million. This type of drone is used by the US Army to carry out both reconnaissance and strike missions, and has the ability to carry various types of weapons on board, including AGM-114 Hellfire missiles.

Что то с американскими беспилотниками одни сплошные неприятности.

Interesting that as the Lebanese front is paused due to complete failure of the IDF, Syrian 'rebels' start to reactivate. They start an offensive against the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo, after Netanyahu said Assad is 'playing with fire' arming Hezbollah.

Russian airstrikes are called in as the 'Free Syrian Army' seems to have gained some ground.
