Russia Begins Operations in Syria: End Game for the US Empire?

Looks like Russia is ready to take the gloves off:

Lavrov: “We proceed from the fact that we are ready [to break with the European Union]. If we once again see, as we have already felt more than once, that sanctions are imposed in some areas that create risks for our economy, including in the most sensitive areas, – yes. If you want peace, prepare for war“.

Btw, I've noticed that 'The Saker' has, IMO, lately been more spot on with his analyses than previously. I found his latest articles a refreshing read.

The Russian Armed Forces have secured their dominance in the artic by expanding their naval fleet with a class of ice-breaking combat ship. The first of its kind!

It can pierce 1.5-meter-thick (5 foot) ice, patrol in harsh Arctic conditions, and even take part in rescue missions. The Admiralty Shipyard in Saint Petersburg launched the first combat icebreaker today. The unique project was named after the legendary Ivan Papanin.
