I stumbled upon the following advertisement.
https://school.rt.com/
RT offers a FREE course for anyone willing to learn the art of journalism. They are going to teach how to find news, how to present them to the public, how to work the camera, etc. As they say, basically everything they know. The course is going to be between 29th of January and 16th of February. And since the advertisement is in Russian, it is probably going to happen in Moscow. And in Russian. That's probably the biggest catch. ;)
But maybe there is still someone willing to try. Maybe if you are interested, you can write to them and ask if there are courses like this for the English speaking people.
Anyways, for a chance to participate you have to have a higher education (university degree). Doesn't say that it has to be media or journalism related. Maybe any higher degree. And you need to finish an assignment. You need to find an interesting world news story that isn't being shared on the Western media. Or you can put your own spin on the published story.
You can send your assignment and your resume to school@rttv.ru
The ones with the best assignments will be invited to participate. Guess these are probably have to be video assignments? Doesn't say.
In any case, very cool! If I wanted to be a journalist and dreamed about working in RT, I would jump at the opportunity. Because they say that it can be a chance to join their team. ;)
