@Paranthas, I think the way to look at is that Paranthas is a much older race and we only have C's material to rely upon. Mahabharata is a much more modern invention (relatively speaking) born out of necessity to canonize bits and pieces into a part-mythological and part-historical text to tell the masses that "Us kings have a history and a divine right to rule". It will be extremely hard to decipher and prove what actual events took place from such a text.
When these texts are written, names are taken from contemporary vocabulary which is made up of tribes, language, stories and various texts. Wars are economic activity and a necessary one too so, these stories contain a re-imagined version of a mangled memory of actual destructive events packaged up as religious wars. Adjustments get made to the stories to heighten the religious angle and build cause towards the war. Such and such person stole my cows so, I must make war with them. FWIW
