I recently bought a
tobacco rolling machine - could anyone recommend an organic rolling tobacco I could try? When buying cigarette packs I typically would smoke American Spirit gold, which is their organic blend with a light filter. But their organic rolling tobacco only comes in small 40g pouches, they don't provide 150g tins of the organic blend for some reason. And I'm looking for the bigger tins because they're cheaper (per gram).
So now I'm on the hunt for other quality rolling tobacco outside of American Spirit. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm in Massachusetts, but I'm willing to road trip all over New England and buy in bulk, if that's what it takes. Unless there's an online source you guys have that ships to US.
The whole point of rolling my own is it seems like it is cheaper, and cigarettes are expensive. $14.50 per pack for American Spirit gold here. Cheaper in New Hampshire because no taxes, but not much cheaper - maybe $12 or $13 per pack?
The cheapest I found is American Spirit non-organic 150g dark blue "US Grown" tins - for $52 in New Hampshire. For organic version they sell the 40g pouches for $15 in NH, which is close in terms of "price per gram".
Just wanted to throw it out there and see what everyone has been smoking these days!
And I guess organic isn't absolutely necessary, I just think it's better for the lungs, so I tend to prefer it if possible.
Also apparently I can get it even cheaper if I buy whole tobacco leaves and get a leaf shredder, which might be a viable route as well, I just need to research that process more.
