It is about thousands of girls and boys that during the Franco regime where enclosed in boarding schools, orphanages, or special preventive centers for tuberculosis, and other smilar places. They were mistreated, abused, sexually abused, exploited for slave work, among other horrors.

Miles de niños y niñas fueron encerrados en internados durante el franquismo y hasta los primeros años de la democracia.
Colegios religiosos, orfanatos, preventorios antituberculosos o centros de Auxilio Social se convirtieron en una especie de cárceles para estos jóvenes.

Allí sufrieron abusos físicos, psíquicos, sexuales, explotación laboral o prácticas médicas dudosas. Hoy destapan este pasado oculto y silenciado. A diferencia de países como Irlanda, que han reconocido los malos tratos a niños bajo su tutela, en España estos abusos no han sido nunca juzgados ni reparados."
