Spot The Fake Smile

Guess I am pretty gullible, only got 11.

Don't feel bad, I got the same score. However, I predicted I would get about half of them right at the start, so I lived up to at least that much :P

17. I was looking for the crow's feet at the sides of the eyes, which are an indicator of genuine "Duchenne" smiles. However, it looks like a couple people faked those (there are other things going on in the eyes besides that), so I was gullible on those two. Should've trusted my instinct on those ones. Also, one guy had very subtle crow's feet, which I dismissed as fake (he was genuine).

I only got 15. I paid the most attention to the eyes - if they look "shifty", I don't trust anything about the person!

I used the same technique and I got 17 as well. Anna C Salter in Predators says that the smiling eyes is the first thing a predator learns to fake when he smiles, so I guess it cannot work every time. But if that makes one right in 17 out of 20 cases, not bad, I'll say.

18 out of 20. I looked at the dimples for recognition of a genuine smile, so I wrote cheeks. Never once thought to look in their eyes. But some were rather clear forced smiles IMO
