strange people at Canarian Temple

I found this interesting excerpt from the book The Secret History of the Canary Islands ,1997 where it is pointed out that the Virgin of Candelaria statue has the following:
"In the carved drapery of the Virgin of Candelaria original there were some strange letters whose meaning is still unknown. These were:
  • Girdle in the neck: ETIEPESEPMERI
  • On the left sleeve: LPVRINENIPEPNEIFANT
  • At the bottom of the robe: EAFM IPNINI FMEAREI
  • In the belt: NARMPRLMOTARE
  • In the mantle, in the right arm: OLM INRANFR TAEBNPEM Reven NVINAPIMLIFINIPI NIPIAN
  • At the edge of the left hand: EVPMIRNA ENVPMTI EPNMPIR VRVIVINRN APVI MERI PIVNIAN NTRHN
  • On the back in the queue: NBIMEI ANNEIPERFMIVIFVE
The author with the help of a specialist in ancient languages, deciferred these......"those signs repeat again and again the words 'sacred glass and descent' as if they are indicating the way. To me 'sacred glass and descent' could imply something akin to the buried Atlanteaen Power crystals perhaps?

I remembered I was reading an interview with a man claiming that in the past he used to be a satanist (amongst other thing, also mormon, woodoo ...) and later was saved by God Yehova and/or Jesus. And this 'Friday midnight' clicked in me.
I found the interview:

S: I see. So how long were you a Satanic Priest?
B: Let me think.
No one has ever actually asked me that question.
Probably about 2 years.
S: Okay. And what did you do?
B: Well, there are certain high Satanic holidays, including every Friday night at midnight, where you celebrate the Satanic Mass.
Plus we would do various rituals.
See, I was a Satanist who was involved with the religion of Thelema as well, Aleister Crowley’s new aeon religion, so we also celebrated what is called the Gnostic Mass.
We did all sorts of other rituals.
We wrote some of our own rituals, in fact, because you are encouraged to do that.
It’s kind of a magickal creativity.
But basically we would do rituals on the high festival days.
And we would do Black Masses on the Friday night at midnight.

I think I can sense what you mean when you say they were not "regular' humans. I believe that they were not.
I do not say they were satanists, I do not know who they were, but some kind of rituals look possible to me.
