New mysterious lightphenomenon in north
Just before 08.00 Wednesday people across large parts of northern Norway observed a fantastic lightphenomenon on easternsky.
- It was like a big fireball that went around, with a great light around it again, "said Fred Hansen from Bø in Vesterålen to NRK Nordland.
Usure meteorologists
At Vervarslinga(Weatherreport) for Northern Norway the phone didn´t stand still. Did the meteorologists have the answer?
Head of the meteorologists in Tromsø observed the phenomenon itself on the way to work.
- From believing that it was the moon behind the cirrus clouds to believe that it was an attempt by EISCAT(HAARP) near Tromsø, I realized that there must be something much bigger, "says Helge Tangen.
But it was clear sky over much of the region, and meteorologists did not solve the mystery.
Fireballmeteor?
Astronomer Knut Røed Ødegaard is also more than sure of what you saw on easternsky Wednesday morning.
- It may have been a fireball meteor, but it doesn´t fit completely, Ødegaard said to NRK Nord Nytt.
Both Ødegaard and Tangen proposes missile launch in the east. In early November, it was also observed a strange light in the north. It turned out to be a Russian rocket.
A Russian rocket that exploded!
But neither the defense had an answer to the lightphenomenon.
- The light was seen in the east from Bodø. But we have no explanation for it. The light doesnt comes from any known air traffic that we can explain, "said John Espen Lien at the force's joint operational headquarters.
Finally NRK Nordland found the answer at Auroral Observatory in Tromsø. The light came from a rocket that was launched from the White Sea in Russia.
- The rocket is probably out of control and exploded. The special helical lightpattern is because the sun was shining on the fuel that leaked out, explained Truls Lynne Hansen.

And then there's this:

But, like Data said, let's snag it all and preserve it.

At about 00:32 the video then shows TWO glowing orange orbs seemingly hovering above the space in the aftermath.

A Navtex no-fly alert was issued for the White Sea on Dec. 9th, and photographers appear to have recorded the initial boost phase of a launch below the spiral (see inset). A rocket motor spinning out of control could indeed explain the spiral pattern, so this explanation seems plausible, although it has not yet been confirmed.
