Good grief. Olbermann is a paid talking head with a very narrow world view and exceptionally biased perspective. Or maybe that's just his media 'persona'. His prejudiced viewpoints spread via a powerful media entity are essentially propoganda. He also is prone to fits of hysteria that seems to be contagious to anyone watching.
Couldn't the same be said for Glenn Beck, with his weeping and crying, imploring people to help him cleanse the country of the communist, Marxist, radical, progressive, socialist, devil spawned liberals that want to enslave the population?
Beck is backed by Murdoch, the same man that pays Hannity, O'Reilly, and a host of other right wing media propagandists.
Which propagandist is more powerful?
The average American is fighting to have a voice that can be heard despite the powerful media and governmental entities that act as a barrier.
How is Fox News and right wing radio acting as a barrier to the people having their voice heard?
This is the media that dominates the radio waves.
The Tea Party is not a political party. It is the voice of americans expressing frustration with the corruption of our government and its obscene abuse of power. These are people willing to look beyond the shallow political party designation and address problems across the entire spectrum of government.
The Tea Party may have started out that way but it's been co-opted by Sarah Palin, Dick Armey, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh and other right wing talking heads, who are in turn financed by right wing interests.
The federal government has grown beyond its constitutional mandate. Time to clean house. Time to clean out Congress and career politicians.
Should the corporate lobbyists also be cleaned out?
After all, they'll descend on any politician (career or otherwise) like a swarm of locusts.
It's time for Americans to take responsibilty for their own life circumstances and stop using government as a force to bully other Americans. It's time to push back against the divisive language used by the federal government and unite as ordinary Americans who prefer freedom to Big Brother.
Divisive language is a staple of right wing media, who engage in bullying 24/7.
All you have to do is turn on the radio or TV and watch Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levin, Coulter, O'Reilly, or a whole host of other well paid operatives to experience divisive language.
Are you pushing back against this?
Anyone not deemed part of the right wing machine is often abeled as "communist", "Marxist", "radical",
"socialist", and "bastards".
It's time to stop being led by the nose by the media/corporate propaganda machine and find out for yourself what the Tea Party is about. I support them.
Fox News is a media/corporate machine, and the Heritage Foundation is one of the premier right wing Christian think tanks that gets promoted on their forum.
Fox hosts Beck, Palin and Hannity, who all claim to know what the Tea Party is all about and represent its values.
Do you support Fox News and Palin, Beck, Hannity, etc or are they liars when they say they know all about the Tea Party?
I support the return to pre-civil war government. We are not children. We are not helpless. We are not victims. If problems occur, we help eachother.
We do not need to suck from the government teet to survive.
Then you are in favor of ending tax breaks for churches, for having children, along with abolishing the
mortgage interest deduction on personal tax returns?
How do you propose to regulate corporate interests that desire to dominate the political and financial landscape?
The federal government is the problem here. Freedom is the solution. Government is the cause of all societal ills.
Do corporations or religions cause any societal ills or are they exempt from scrutiny?
They foment discontent, division and manipulate via propoganda.
You've also just described Fox News and its associated programming.
What's your solution to make sure that the Murdoch empire doesn't sponser lies and propaganda?
Government is out of control, pursuing its own agenda regardless of the welfare of the people or the concerns of the people.
And corporate interests control the government.
You're completely ignoring the reality of corporate power, influence, and agenda.
These entities are part of the wonderful "capitalism" that the country suffers under.
Follow the money and you'll find there's much more at work here than a vague boogy-man called "government".
