The Authoritarian Test

:) That about "are you christian?" is interesting because I thought of explain about FOTCM but I found it a little hard. But as I tend to be direct I just answer to that question: No.

And freezes people, they don't even ask me why they just stare at me

37...On the question of "Traditional Values" I was thinking, yeah like paleo, but I new that Altemeyer was not thinking of that so I disagreed.

Yeah, I took "Traditional Values" to mean fundamental religious values too...now if he'd said "Tribal values" I would have though Paleo :)

Yes, my mind was in two places taking the test. I guess I am 'paleo-ized' :D, so I had to tweak my brain in order to understand where the author was coming from. Back and forth, back and forth!

53, with a subscore of 24 and 29 for the two separate question groups. I as well had difficulty with answering most of the questions due to interpretation.

I scored 65

But was bugged by the language used as to traditiontal and authority, as it all seems to be about what your own interpretation of these words are.

For example, I didn't really agree with this:

Everyone should have their own lifestyle, religious beliefs, and sexual preferences, even if it makes them different from everyone else.

Definitely! I really didn't get it awhile ago, and scored 9 full points thanks to this question alone. It's great to see how the suggested lectures and discussions on this forum changed the way we see the world... more objectively and as it is now!

Agreeing with that it's a typical love&light new-agey stance that leads to a blind subjectivity. After the info about diet and lifestyle, religion, books like 'The Caricature of Love' and the reading of Homer's poems, now the path towards a better comprehension of 'lost universal dynamics and laws' is clearer, at least we got a new direction indeed.

This Altemeyers' book seems to suggest how blind we are in not recognizing our own STS-ness, if we take that in the light of all the material discussed here. G's told us that there are rules at this levels, likely rules to follow to see the universe and follow what she asks to each of her own sparks.

My score was 38. The POV structure underlying many of the questions didn't sit well with me, and I suppose my reaction to that is what influenced my score. I would have scored much higher, perhaps, had I interposed "psychopathy" where it was appropriate.

I got a solid 70. There were more than a couple of questions that were a dichotomy. Also, I could see how some questions about 'traditional' leadership could be interepreted differently by different people. I understood the term 'traditional' to be more fundamentalist and thus, not necessarily 'better'. Interesting quiz.
