The loss of a great companion

It` been a rough couple of days. We had to take our little dog Trixie, to the veterinarian this evening to be put down. She was almost 15 years old. We rescued her when she was 2. She was a great companion and truly a family member. We had a burial ceremony for her in the flower garden. She`s buried not to far from Sadie Girl who was also a beloved companion. I get so attached it`s like loosing my best friend.

Rest in peace Trixie. I will love and miss you always.

Hi Nancy, my heart goes out to you for your loss of your beloved Trixie. I had a situation happen today where I couldn't find one of my little kitties, Daisy, for a while after searching every nook and cranny of my apartment Then I had to leave for an appointment and the whole time I was heart-sick thinking he had accidentally got outside when I had company over earlier in the day. When I got home thank goodness he was cozied-up with his sister in a familiar spot, so whew.. I couldn't bare the thought of loosing him. And reading this really hit home today. Our little pets are such precious little companions. My kitties bring me so much joy. Do you have any other pets at home with you? My heartfelt support goes out to you tonight and through the coming weeks while you adjust to the lose of Trixie.

it`s like loosing my best friend.

Our beloved companion do become our best friends in many ways. They are often closer to us, literally, then other loved family and friends, shadowing
us throughout our days, close to us at night, asking so little of us and giving so much.

I am so sorry for yours and Ren's loss and my heart is with you both as you move through the grieving process that only time will lesson.
