A case in April 1982 had some farmers getting hit by these strange little balls, forcing them to protect their heads with their hands, the event lasted a few seconds only, and then:

That reminds me of Charles fort's raining meat and frogs, but, it kind of makes sense if you think about it, if a meteorite or fireball can open up a window, or marks the signal of an opening window, then small pebbles falling from the sky kind of make sense, they would be an indicator of a window being open regularly and material falling to the ground, either as the cuplrit, or as a byproduct me thinks.
