The proof that you should never believe your eyes

This was creepy . Their faces distorted more and more as i look in the center. That is why people say that you cant believe even to your own eyes. Now i understand it more clearly.

Thanks for sharing that Kisito, it is worth keeping this sort of thing in mind when experiencing weird stuff, so that we don't freak ourselves out. No doubt we are going to experience lots of weird stuff in the future. "Knowledge Protects."

Very cool, thanks for sharing. I've been habitualizing myself to use my full vision when walking about and many times I see people and figures that turn out to be nothing but normal everyday things when looked at directly.

WOW, that was really creepy, the more I looked the creepier the faces became! Thanks for posting!

Haha wow that's so funny. I didn't see them as monsters or creepy though. They were just kind of goofy because the program vision wasn't as discerning as the central forums of vision, so the shapes just became more exaggerated. They looked more like those caricature drawings you see in touristy market districts. We unconsciously seem to abstract an object to its most basic shapes when strapped for time.

It also makes me wonder about how this perceptual method is used in some parapsychology phenomena. I've heard that many indigenous groups in North and Central America user peripheral vision to see a person's aura, spirit guides, et cetera. :cool2:

This reminded me of one interesting thing that i noticed. I have one IP TV receiver at home and its placed under one shelf against the wall. The is one LAN cable going in. When its dark and i look at it i see just a nornal receiver, but if i move my focus away and use my peripheral vision i can see an orange blinking light from behind the receiver .Its from the LAN port.
Then again if i focus on it , i cant see the blinking light. ITs so low light that for me it visible only with peripheral vision. With normal vision blinking light is not visible at all.

Also sometimes i can see or i can catch a some king of fast moving shadow in my peripheral vision field. Its usually happening when i`m reading something, when i `m focused on some activity and when its quiet around.

Very interesting optical illusion. Thanks for sharing, Kisito!

Yes, I thought about that too. One wonders if a more accurate representation of the individual is seen via peripheral vision?

Caricature yeah biala !

I used to "train" to see aura in looking the thin space between my shapeline and a white font, and I began to see blue or green or white light around my line but I never push it more because I wasn't very sure of the interest nor the science of it.

And one time I see with my peripheral vision a face of grey light in superposition of my physical face and it was like an ancient old not very happy face, and it scares me a little maybe I am attached oooh :S...

But I will try for fun, thanks for sharing !

Wow that sure was creepy.

I don’t know about peripheral vision auras, but I have for years been able to see weird energy grid mesh formations in my peripheral vision. On clear sunny days if I look straight into the horizon out of the top of my peripheral vision, I can definitely pick out some sort of weird energy grid in the sky, in what seems to be a global mesh.

When I first started to notice it years ago, I attributed it to imagination or consequences of recreational drugs. But interesting thing is as I have taken more control of my life in regards to recreational drugs and cleaned up, the experience of the grid has intensified.
For now, I just see it as an interesting experience and just observe myself during the experience.

I used to train aura too :) it's very interesting experience which can take you to the energetic journey :)

I forget the exact year, novemvre 2010 or 2011. I did an internship (seminar) on the fourth way Gurdjieff in Paris. The trainer was called Serge (I do not remember his name, but he had a Russian-sounding. In the group, there was a woman who lived in the US or Canada, she was of Russian origin, as consonance its name. Serge was saying what was the granddaughter of Gurdjieff. once I got home with it by subway, she confirmed that she was his granddaughter, but she said she did not know not the theories of Gurdjieff. in the seminar, there were dervish dances. But to return to our subject eye, Serge explained that the sensors eyes outside the retina (rods), were used to detect motion, but also to develop a new vision. he claimed that it was necessary to train to develop this peripheral vision every day, so that our perception is changing. Some students seemed to confirm this change in vision. but in groups, there always wanting to make it interesting. I do not know exactly what it is, and I can not comment on the credibility of Serge. He claimed to be the heir of Gurdieff, but it did not seem to me "Meet a remarkable man." But the comments of each other sounded like a reminiscence. Is that-in the fourth way, a work of peripheral vision was initiated by Gurdjieff as to focus our vision on a fixed object? Or Castaneda asking us to fix our gaze hands as to develop a new vision?

It would be really cool if someone could create a similar app, but this time with other faces, perhaps images of historical persons. To make an experiment and see if we are dealing with a cognitive phenomenon or something else.

That would be interesting to know, though I don't know how representative old painting are maybe with other persons like JFK, King and so on could be easier as well since there are many pictures available. Any way seems worth a try imo.
