The Road (2009)

Yeah,last fall after reading Mrs Tigersoap's post we saw the movie as a family party,grand child was just born;needless to say that everybody here was so disturbed as we had all the feeling of "déjà vu" and even today when we talk about it;images and scenes are printed in our minds for a long time I guess,especially by these times and current events in Japan.DCM bless all of us :(

I saw the movie yesterday. I think it is a very beautiful movie, even if it depicts an horror situation, a life that seems without future. It is a meditative movie, a road movie, very sad and hard but it is the road that this father and his son took and this road is, I think, a road that we should take even if our planet is a mess, even if we feel alone. I see this movie as very symbolic: the vistas of the country, the solitude, the fear and little joys, the love, the faith. This road is a lesson, and a very hard lesson but "good people" exists that will give the chance to continue to walk and grow. People that care, that have dogs and a sense of duty and respect.
