I loved this line.

Hey Alex,

Beautiful poem, very inspiring!

Why it is inspiring?

Well, one of my interests is music production, so I played a little bit, and a merged your poem
with one of mine old songs, I couldn't resist it.... I will not have any commercial use of this so
I hope you don't mind on this improvised "collab", as I said, I couldn't resist the impulse... :D

And one more thing, I edit it on my laptop speakers because I'm far away from my home, I had a feeling as I was a blind painter.
So I basically didn't hear this song, for listening this kind of music it is highly recommended to have
quality sound system or good headphones.

Best regards,

Vladimir, I really liked the ambient feel your collaboration gives to the Poem. :D Good Work!

@ Alex

Whether having some kind of background music to your poetry is something you've thought about, I think in my personal opinion, using Vladimir's ambient addition to your Piece, that it meshes very well together and creates an interesting "sound scape" when listened to.

wow! this was amazing!! :), so plain simple and direct , perfectly hidden in plain sight , this was very very moving :) welcome to the forum alexandra i've got no more words but to say great artist you are indeed!! :) this inspired me , kind of made my own art vibrate(graphic) this was truly great!!

and vladimir ,thanx to the collaboration the words of alexandra truly wrap around you , great work as well ! :)

great work guys !! :)

I'm busy downloading Vladimir's remix :) pretty excited to hear it!

Andrew...I did think at some point about adding music...but I recorded the whole thing on my webcam thru my laptop speakers and the music did not work so well. You can already hear the funny interference-sound in the background generated by poor accoustics and what not :)

....60% downloaded.... i'll be right back.....

Lovely!

that echoey sound on the words make them more "ethereal" and the music gives the whole piece more drama :)
well done!
Great collaboration we have here :)

Hey, glad you liked it...I can just "imagine" how it sounds because I have no real speakers to hear it....
But yes, it's really like your (5D?) voice in this edgy atmosphere...
Till next collab, Ciao!

Welcome Alexandra, and I find your poem very inspiring and very uplifting and it's so powerful!
Thank you very much for sharing it! (You're having a great gift there!)

Vladimir, your collaboration is really good, in my eyes.

I really felt myself standing amidst a vast area of destruction, -end time-, darkness mingled with reddish light, fires burning all about, while the entire atmosphere is pressuring on you, pushing on you, vibrating heavily all around -
until - at last - there's this Voice inside you, speaking up, and you have to strain yourself to even hear it entirely, but you want to and you need to hear every single word that the Voice is speaking, because it's the only thing that makes sense and gives meaning and hope.

Powerful. Thanks for sharing, Vladimir!
Art that reaches the heart (soul). :)

Vlad - it looks like i will have to nudge you when i upload my next related poem so we can collab again :) it seems to have been enjoyed

I completely agree... :D Just thing is, I don't have appropriate speakers or headphones because I'm studying in another country, far from home, so it impossible
to do anything new....:(

we do the best with what we have on hand :) besides - it was fun to make right? even tho its not "perfect" :)

It was quite fun, that's for sure... It is just like, making something without being able to hear it is quite difficult
if you are producing music...You can imagine, right? On another hand, use "nothing" to express something is
really fun and interesting for me because is more challenging and I'm more concentrated on the idea, rather
then on the final product. ;D

Hi Alexandra,

What would make this piece more "perfect", and why would it be so?

Just wondering.

Azur, note that i put perfect in little ""'s because it is a subjective word.
We were discussing earlier in the thread about the background noise and disturbances. (if you listen to the youtube vid you will notice a funny humming sound cause by being created on a laptop webcam :))

Personally - it doesnt bother me at all :) but we were discussing poor quality equipment and our ability to use it to create and my comment was based more on the idea that 'perfect' really doesnt matter as we had fun creating and expressing. (Vlad was worried becuase his mix was also done on his laptop instead of his proper mixing equipment)

so ...your question...'what would make it 'perfect'....i guess it depends on who is listening to it:) from my view point... i like it the way it is.

the word 'perfect' is too broad and opinionated :)
