Three More Days in Former Paradise

Nawd

Dagobah Resident
Well, Monday is the day I evacuate my family from our former wonderful home in south Alabama. I loved it here. The tall pine trees, the major population of dragonflies (that land on you if you are still!). The sunsets, the humid mornings, evenings, middle of the nights lol.... the warm salty air (well once upon a time before April 20th). The sand! Wow I love the sand. Walking barefoot in the stuff, tracking it inside, in the car, in the bed, in our hair. The red clay dirt all over the car tires. I even dyed a white tee-shirt in the clay mud and it held the color! The Magnolias, my oh my, it's a heavenly sent. The rainstorms here confused me at first, coming in mostly from the south instead of the west or north. And all of this in my own backyard! Not to mention the wonderful beaches we used to go to.

I'm new here (only six short months sense we moved) in the great deep south, and now it will be another wonderful set of memories my family will talk of for hopefully years to come. The pain is great for me and the kids, but it's better safe (with knowledge) than sorry (with ignorance).

Thanks Alabama, you hold a special place in my heart.

In three days I may be off of the forum for awhile as we settle in and get new internet services.

Thanks for supporting me through this ordeal everyone!

Good luck, Dawn. Will be thinking of you and your family whilst I do EE tonight.

Take care. May you have a safe move...and safe journey to your new home. :flowers:

My heart goes out to you Dawn, this has got to be REALLY hard...but I'm so glad you're getting you and your kids to someplace safe.

Good luck on the road and let us know if you need any help? Do you have someone to call who can post a message to the forum if you can't get on-line?

I understand how you feel, Dawn  DCM-speed to you, and all the best in your move for you and your family.

Sounded like a wonderful place to live Dawn!

Good luck in your move and a fresh new home for you and your family! :)

Good luck with your move, Dawn. May it be uneventful and quick. I'm sorry you are having to leave your home because of these psychopathic rich elite who care nothing for the wellbeing and lives of others.

But, actually, if the Cs are correct, they won't be so comfortable for long.

Thanks Guardian! It's been a tough few months, but without this forum and the health and EE programs, I think I would have lost my mind by now!!!

Will do. I may have someone I can call who can update the forum. Good suggestion! I just wish I had a bus and I could take some of my neighbors, although most of them think everything is fine and moving north is a serious over-reaction. I'd rather take my chances with tornadoes in the midwest rather than a hurricane(s) spreading Corexit and crude everywhere that life lives!!

Thanks Alana, Paragon, and Nienna Eluch!

Well so far the track record has been pretty great for the Cs! :D

Good luck on your new journey and remember....Home is where the heart is ;)
I hope you discover that your new home will be just what you needed :D
