Train derailments and explosions and chemical spills

The leak of benzene from the crashed railway tanker in Hustopeče nad Bečvou in the Přerov region could have a huge impact on the environment, says Pavel Hradil, a chemist at the Faculty of Science in Olomouc. Benzene is a carcinogenic substance that can damage groundwater.

Hustopece nad Bečvou, apparently a wagon, a reader told PrahaIN.cz

We are still extinguishing 15 tankers on the railway in Hustopeče nad Bečvou, two others are cooling down. Aerial extinguishing helped. The intervention will take several hours. (LB)

Just came accross this one during my nightly news round up, in Texas.

Emergency crews respond to train derailment in Palo Pinto County, officials say

Emergency crews are responding to a train derailment east of Gordon in Palo Pinto Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, the derailment happened at about 1:45 p.m. over a railroad bridge on Coalville Road north of State 183.

Officials said 35 train cars carrying hazardous materials are involved, but none of them show signs of leaking at the scene.

At this time, there are evacuations in place or injuries reported.

OK, how about another theory that it was an entirely different chemical than vinyl chloride being carried by the train. Kerry Cassidy did an interview with Dr. Robert O. Young (who's a big No Virus proponent, so ... ), but he does bring up the train route from the Dow-Specrtulite-Mallinckrodt Toxic Waste Sites. From Dr. Young's document, The 4 Horsemen of The Apocalypse Have Been Set Loose On East Palestine Ohio & Beyond!:

The intended destination of the train:

And then the same allegation as Yoichi Shimatsu that was posted previously:

I guess all we really know for sure was that the derailment was intentional and the chemical detected in the air is Acrolein according to independent testing by Carnegie Mellon University.

A journalist born and raised in East Palestine has produced a short 20 minute documentary on East Palestine two and a half years after the Norfolk Southern train derailment. In it lots of evidence is shared that the venting and burning of vinyl chloride was completely unnecessary. Tons of new health problems plague members of the community there (one interviewed man suffered complete heart failure), while many other families uprooted completely. All while this was going on they've been battling for accountability, and received a paltry settlement from Norfolk Southern, with a lot of token support from JD Vance and others but next to nothing in material changes to prevent it from happening again.

The train derailment in Portugal resulted in at least 15 deaths and numerous injuries.

Marcelo called for a swift investigation into the causes of the fatal accident, and the Government says that "investigations" will be carried out "in due course.

"The Government issued a statement this Wednesday stating that "the immediate priority" is "assistance to the victims." "The competent authorities will carry out the necessary investigations in due course to determine the causes of this unfortunate accident," the Government stated.

This statement comes minutes after Marcelo published a note on the Presidency's website, in which he requested that the "occurrence" at the Elevador da Glória "be quickly clarified by the competent authorities." Marcelo also expressed "his condolences and solidarity" with the "families affected by this tragedy."

Returning to the Government: the Government notes that "from the outset, it has been monitoring the situation and the response of the various public medical emergency authorities, health units, civil protection, security forces, and transportation, to whom instructions have been given to provide all necessary support." "The Government is also in constant contact and close coordination with the City Council."

The statement also states that "the Government and the Prime Minister deeply regret the accident that occurred this afternoon in the Glória elevator in Lisbon and express their deep consternation and solidarity with the victims and their families.

"Meanwhile, on X and in Portuguese, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, expressed her "sadness." "It is with sadness that I learned of the derailment of the famous 'Glória Elevator.' My condolences go out to the families of the victims," the leader said.

It's an accident that shouldn't have happened."The Lisbon City Council declared three days of municipal mourning.

Also noteworthy: the Aircraft and Railway Accident Prevention and Investigation Office (GPIAAF) told Lusa News Agency that it will open an investigation into the derailment, but:

Due to limited [human] resources in the railway area, it will only begin collecting evidence at the site tomorrow morning [Thursday]," said a source from this public agency.
