Trump Elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

The US and Paraguay just signed an agreement to send asylum seekers from the US to Paraguay until their asylum application is reviewed:

People here are speculating that this is connected to the most powerful oligarch of Paraguay (former president Cartes) having been sanctioned by the US for various crimes. That this is basically a way for him to "buy himself out" from the sanctions. The current president is basically his puppet.

Needless to say, nobody in Paraguay is thrilled by this development.

Zelensky's suit is a testament to the darkness that is operating through him.

And that "darkness" has a name (among others) -
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer advised Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky on how to avoid another confrontation at the White House, NBC News reported on Monday.

Who doesn't think wearing appropriate attire to a meeting with the President of the United States and other high ranking US and foreign officials wasn't advised particularly considering the dressing down Zelensky received the last time he showed up wearing his usual black wartime wardrobe. How extraordinary that what Zelensky showed up wearing caused such a stir - and even a debate as to whether it was actually a suit or not. Look Ma! No tie!

What’s behind the coverage of Volodymyr Zelensky’s suit?

AP25230622788805-scaled.jpg

Ahead of yesterday’s meeting, US officials reportedly asked their Ukrainian counterparts whether, this time, Zelensky might suit up, and were told that he would—sort of, anyway. “It is going to be ‘suit-style’ but not a full suit,” a source told Axios. “It would be great if he wore a tie,” a Trump adviser told the same outlet, “but we don’t expect him to.”

Sure enough, Zelensky turned up in dressier clothes—a more formal black shirt under a black jacket-cum-chore-coat—and major news organizations assessed what they signified (some of them twice). Vanessa Friedman, the chief fashion critic at the New York Times, pointed out that this wasn’t the first time that Zelensky had worn such an outfit—the jacket, or something like it, came out at the pope’s funeral earlier this year, then again at a NATO summit—forming part of “a larger capsule collection commissioned by Mr. Zelensky’s team” that aimed “to combine some of the semiology of the battlefield,” such as patch pockets and a high neckline, “with that of the suit.” (Friedman also noted that whether Zelensky’s new outfit style “was actually a suit or rather a suit-like jacket-and-slacks combination caused some debate in the betting market.”) The Wall Street Journal reported that what Zelensky wore yesterday was “subtly different” from his papal and NATO combinations, with “added vents to the back and sleeves” aimed, per a representative of the designer, at “gradually shifting the President’s image towards a more civilian style, while still preserving the military reference.” Glenn, for one, was impressed, telling Zelensky, in the Oval Office, that he looked “fabulous.” “That’s the one that attacked you last time,” Trump said, of Glenn, turning toward Zelensky. “See—now he’s a nice guy.” Zelensky laughed, with just a hint of menace. “You are in the same suit,” he said, pointing at Glenn. “I changed. You are not.”

The mouse continues to squeak, but for how long . . .

And why, pray tell, is he being given any official recognition at all seeing that he's a declared illegitimate leader of Ukraine?
Vladimir Zelensky’s exclusion from the upcoming summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, is confirmation of the Ukrainian leader’s illegitimacy, Russian Foreign Ministry official Rodion Miroshnik has said.

As a leader of Ukraine – as he calls himself – Zelensky is unacceptable. He cannot sign anything,” said Miroshnik, who serves as the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large for the Kiev regime’s war crimes.

Zelensky’s five-year presidential term officially ended in May 2024. However, in December 2023 he announced that no presidential or parliamentary polls would be held as long as martial law remains in force. Earlier, Putin said Zelensky can participate in possible talks with Moscow if he wishes to, but that he lacks the legitimacy to actually sign a peace deal. Russia views Zelensky as unfit to sign international agreements, arguing that any treaty he signs could later be deemed illegitimate.

There are at least three reasons I can think of for why that might be the case:

- All of them (with exception of Meloni perhaps) are total clown muppets while they are confronted with a person that at least attempted (or still attempts) to not be one. Trump at least seems to have tried (or still tries) to be a serious person.

- All of them (with exception of Meloni perhaps) are totally spineless while they are confronted with a person that at least attempted (or still attempts) to not be spineless. Trump at least seems to have tried (or still tries) to be a serious person.

- All of them were put into their place (with the exception of Selenskyi) from the get-go by Trump, for example by not greeting them at the entrance and making them come into the White House through a backdoor.
Or four, Trump didn’t release the Epstein files so that he can have leverage of all of them.

Saw this Ron Paul X and glad I did. There's a lot more to REAL ID than most people realize!

Again, a highly informative exchange pointing out the very real dangers to our personal freedoms, with said freedom endangering restrictions already being implemented. I have to wonder if having the head of Homeland Security being a very attractive, long haired woman (to the point of garnering the nickname Barbie), isn't meant to conceal just how nefarious this tracking and data collection via driver's license ID is. Too many people are asleep at the wheel as to what's happening with this! It's more than scary particularly after experiencing the Covid practice run! This threat deserves a lot more attention than it's getting.

Trump also said something that sounds like it could actually be true:

The US is sending no money to Ukraine anymore. Instead Trump arranged it so that the Ukrainians have to buy the American weapons “themselves“ from the US. And the Ukrainians get that money mostly from NATO/EU countries through NATO. So the Europeans are now basically financing the war.
What I heard is Ukraine offered to buy the weapons from the US with NATO money of course but there hasn't been an agreement made, so this remains to be seen.

Simplicus on Substack makes a good point that the optics of the European leaders sitting as schoolchildren in 'Daddy's office' is both unprecedented, hilarious and revealing.

And Trump is trolling the whole bunch, e.g. by not recognizing Finland's president Stubb (who in Finland touts how he's best buddies with Trump), and by ignoring Ursula's prescripted propaganda.

Has there ever been anything like this? The entire pantheon of the European ruling class reduced to sniveling children in their school principal’s office. No one can deny that Trump has succeeded in veritably ‘breaking Europe over his knee’. There is no coming back from this turning point moment, the optics simply cannot be redeemed.

And this:

Volumes could be written on the implications of such a low point in European influence. But we’ll suffice with concluding that it’s clear the matter of the Ukrainian conflict’s resolution is of such existential importance to the behind-the-scenes cabal which writes the Euro-puppets’ orders, that this cabal is willing to risk everything, including politically sacrificing its “compradors” posing as elected leaders.

Trump is misinformed and clueless about many things, but he sure knows how to 'troll'! The kids at Daddy's office, LOL!

It seems the specifics are vague right now as more weapons to Ukraine are stated for their safety and security (?) after the peace deal but Putin must agree to the terms apparently. I don't know, its to vague at the moment so we'll see what happens.

After a one-on-one meeting in Alaska on Friday, Trump claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to agree to security guarantees for Ukraine, though he did not provide specifics.

Ukraine has previously urged the West to provide security guarantees equivalent to NATO’s collective defense, while several European states have offered to deploy peacekeepers. Russia, however, has stressed that it will not tolerate any Western troops in Ukraine.

They are all complete embarrassments as leaders and people. Everyone can see how powerless and pathetic the coalition of the willing to bend over for the USA are.

In some ways it is good that he treats these globalist puppets like that. On the other hand, Trump has no qualms about plundering Europe for the benefit of the US. And in this he may be helping the globalists in gradually wiping out the middle class in Europe.

An example here of academic Trump Derangement Syndrome, to illuminate how extreme this stuff is. The Institute for Creative Mindfulness offers training to mental-health therapists to view Trump supporters as members of a white-supremacist cult. The institute's leader, Professor of Sociology, Janja Lalich, appears to be a big deal in the sphere of cult studies. Interestingly, a casual look at her history reveals that she was a high-ranking member of a radical leftist political party for ten years, and didn't leave until it dissolved.

The class, designed for mental health professionals, made the claim that Trump voters are cult members and Donald Trump is a cult leader. According to the training, MAGA is a "cult on a national scale" that "presents an image of bringing the country back to a white majority and white power."

The "cult" members, they say, see Trump "as someone who promised them he would make America great again, and for them that meant getting rid of the black and brown people… I think that's what most people bought into," stated Dr. Janja Lalich, who has written several books and appeared on several documentaries on cults. She continued to say that the United States was built on racism and the "MAGA crowd" doesn't care about the price of eggs, but "…all they care about is that he is getting rid of black and brown people in our country. That's a sad thing to say, but that's how I see it."

Lalich held a leadership position in a left-wing political cult for ten years after the Vietnam war. She explained that what defines a cult is a transcendent belief system and the MAGA belief system is "grounded in racism." However, Dr. Janja Lalich did not give any specific examples of her claim.

Wikipedia:
Beginning in the 1970s, Lalich spent around ten years as part of a radical Marxist-Leninist group, the Democratic Workers Party, which she later came to view as a cult. Lalich recalls that during her time in the group she stored questions and doubts in the back of her mind, unable to express them. Lalich became a high-ranking member of the group working long hours with little contact outside the immediate members. She claims that ex-members were harassed and attacked and that she felt increasingly threatened. Eventually, the group dissolved and she was able to leave.

Absolutely bonkers.

The author's X thread embedded in the article you linked above has this little tidbit snipped from the National Board of Certified Counselors policy on continuing education credits:

It just blows my mind how egregious the left is when it comes to this sort of thing. Hypocrisy is a badge of honor at this point, emblazoned with the motto, "Rules for thee but not for me."

I am bemused that I used to consider myself a bleeding-heart liberal.
