The situation of "free speech" in the US
Bruce Springsteen criticized the Trump administration during a concert in the United Kingdom on May 15, 2025, calling it "corrupt, incompetent and treasonous." Trump responded on Truth Social, insulting Springsteen and calling for an investigation into alleged illegal campaign payments related to Springsteen's endorsement of Kamala Harris, although no evidence was provided for these allegations.

Bruce would have been better off SHUTTING UP...there was no problem with the White House tenant, but he got on his radar. Springsteen has been a vocal critic of Trump, consistently endorsing Democratic candidates such as Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, but that's democracy, isn't it? I don't remember the last few Mexican "socialist" presidents threatening the press or dissidents, or insulting reporters and so on. If this happened IMMEDIATELY the US embassy would scream to high heaven and call the president a Dictator.
These publications are unfortunate for the level of a President.

Rock legend Neil Young releases a statement BLASTING Donald Trump:
“What are you worryin’ about man? Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza. That’s your problem. I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us. You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That’s your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made. Taylor Swift is right. So is Bruce. You know how I feel. You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA. Wake up Trump!! Remember what the White House is? 86/47??? That's what you think about? You are forgetting your real job. You work for us. Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president! - neil young and many others”

Neil Young Stands With Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen in Trump's Musician War: 'You Work for Us'
Neil Young has called out Donald Trump over his one-sided war against musicians like Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

Neil Young has been a consistent and forceful critic of Trump over the years. In 2020, Young sued the Trump campaign for using his songs "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Devil's Sidewalk" at political rallies without permission, arguing that he could not allow his music to be associated with a "divisive, un-American" campaign.
