This seems like an attempt to stop the constant influx of fentanyl/meth that is eroding downtown cores of major cities all over North America. I live in arguably the most effected area in North America and would happily see this happen here.

It may not be the best approach, but instilling the fear of death in to people who are behaving like parasites is about the least controversial thing I could think of.

The irony is that these drug peddlers are actually protected by the law. In many places in the world they would be systematically removed by the people themselves.

I probably have a more extreme view than most, but I think there are a lot of people on this planet worthy of a "Summary execution".

Humanity needs to get over this oversimplification of things like the death penalty. Part of the reason pathology has proliferated so strongly in the west is this limp wristed approach to crime that has only been getting worse.

I don't see Trump going after Netanyahu and the IDF; on the contrary, he gives them weapons and, in this case, you could say that he supports "the summary execution of Palestinian terrorists."

The US did not arrest the crew members or reveal their identities. They did not show the drugs. They did not prove any connection to Venezuela. We have to believe what the White House says, no matter what, because we have already forgotten about Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. And what about the American drug lords?

No thats not what I am saying at all.

Obviously the issue becomes that something like that would be used for nefarious purposes in the wrong hands.

The issue we now have in the west are catch and release practices on crime, which is even worse in Canada than in the states. You have criminals who are working for said psychopaths operating major drug networks that are flooding drugs on to the streets who quite literally get a slap on the wrist and released on bail within days for being caught with millions of dollars of narcotics.

I was just saying in a more theoretical sense that if some of these people end up getting killed I really have no empathy for them.

Best case scenario is our justice systems actually stand up for justice and properly punish people for haneous crimes, which isnt happening.

I think any time justified vigilante justice happens, that its a natural way to stop the proliferation of psychopathy, and I think it may end up getting to that point, our justice system has failed entirely.

The first place I would look at implementing said executions would be the psychopathic elites creating it all. I certainly dont expect them to act righteously.

Well it depends what you mean by 'these people'. In this particular instance we're talking about some people in a boat, who may have done something but we don't know who decided that or how. We don't know much, but it would appear that rather than try to apprehend or stop these people, they were killed. That's not a good precedent to set, even though it seems like swift and efficient justice. Skynet is swift and efficient.
