Tucker Carlson interviews & ideologies

Will watch the interview, although I must admit I've never had much interest in what he's got to say.

He's well spoken and clear in his arguments, but to the point of missing the deeper implications of things, as with Stalin, its his view on his own assassination attempt which he details in the interview. Tucker points out there could've been other forces or interests implicated, a valid point that begs reflexion, but Fuentes limited his opinion to societal nihilism engulfing young people.

Well, it finally happened, one hour into it and its been fascinating to see where these two agree and disagree. Fuentes a fan of Stalin?

This was the best interview I've seen with Fuentes so far. He was lucid, clear and non-combative. I cannot find (other than the Stalin quote) anything where I disagreed with him. There's a lot of sense coming from him here, which makes me wonder if he doesn't just "play up" when he's in conversation with less serious interviewers than Carlson. He's on point throughout this talk. I wondered if a more enlightened, less sensationalist and incendiary Fuentes could emerge with time; well, on this showing I'd say probably yes. The C's offered a point on his mind, and I think, if he nurtures his emotional centre along with his intellect, well then he'll do okay. He's gone up in my estimation from this talk.

I haven‘t watched the Fuentes interview yet (and I‘m not sure I want to actually) but how come that I‘m not surprised to hear that he is apparently quite into Stalin from what was shared here, and perhaps not in the most healthy/normal way? Can’t say that I‘m surprised about that.

Just so this doesn’t get split up, there is a dedicated thread on Nick here:
