Really sad loss this one. Twin Peaks was a game changer back when it came out. It carried the air of the cinematic, but as a 1hr tv show. Raised the bar of what was possible for all concerned. Haven't seen the recent series but saw all the classic two series from the 90s.

Always sad to lose a committed smoker as well. he was the strangest clash, of an old school, classic americana with a fierce, intoxicating sense of the esoteric. He leaves behind a great body of work.
