I've been looking at other countries's New Year's Eve broadcasts, and of course, NY was quite revolting with the usual explicit sexual perversion from Hollywood. Nashville was pretty decent. Paris was ok, at least compared to the Olympics. Some Evangelist churches had nice songs with a choir and everyone was nicely dressed.
