Scientists explain strange lights in the sky
Oct 26, 2020 KHON2 News
Did you happen to see the strange, bright lights Saturday night? You may have been one of many who thought it looked like a plane, a meteor shower, or something unexplainable. People on different islands reported seeing these lights in the sky on Saturday night shortly after 10 o'clock. We're told since it was traveling East, residents on the Big Island and Maui probably got a better view.

For a while, STEVE's origins were elusive. The phenomenon was discovered in 2016 by citizen scientists in western Canada. A 2018 study showed that its glow, unlike one leading hypothesis had proposed, does not result from charged particles falling into the atmosphere. The authors also pointed out that STEVE can show up at the same time as an aurora does, which makes it even harder to figure out which is which.

The new study examined satellite data gathered above STEVE events in April 2008 and May 2016. The measurements included information about Earth's magnetic and electrical fields in the magnetosphere, the region of Earth's atmosphere where the planet's magnetic field is stronger than any influence coming from the sun. Then, scientists compared the satellites' findings with amateur photos of STEVE taken from the ground at the same time.

When STEVE was on display, the study authors realized, energetic electrons were pouring into Earth's ionosphere, the layer of the planet's atmosphere where atoms lose electrons due to solar and cosmic radiation. The friction that flood creates heats particles, which creates the pinkish glow, almost like an incandescent light bulb.

Satellite information further revealed how the "picket fence" aspect of STEVE develops. The data revealed waves moving from Earth's magnetosphere to the ionosphere. In this region, the waves can both energize electrons and move them out of the magnetosphere, creating the picket-fence appearance, which happens simultaneously in the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

The science team said the new results will help them learn how to predict the paths of particles flowing through the ionosphere. It's an important field of study for scientists to better understand how these particles may interfere with radio communications and GPS signals. And it turns out, the public can help, as citizen scientists did by providing STEVE photographs for this research.

Unknown UFO over Melbourne, Australia
Date: 25th October 2020 Witness report:
"Living on the spacecoast we seen a lot of beautiful rocket Launches. What we seen doesn't make sense. I posted the videos online to ask others. Some people saying Flares but no aircraft flying or sounds of one in the air. It was a very still night and clear sky's. My video would've been better if I didn't have a bright street light in my way. I was able to video some at the end when I grabbed my phone."

Just Happened at AREA 51...

The team heads to AREA 51 to get as close as possible to the secretive U.S. Air Force facility. While there, off Groom Lake Road, they spot employee vehicle traffic, the employee transport bus, camo dudes, and most importantly, they sky-watch for UFO activity. Let's see what's out there!

A UFO has appeared in the Stonehenge area.

An eyewitness: "Returning from Devon, we noticed a large bright light in the sky to the left of the A303. There was orange and very bright artificial lighting. We shot for about 3 minutes, and then the UFO just disappeared.

A huge UFO was observed in the sky over Philadelphia, USA.

Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania. On November 17, a local resident noticed many lights in the sky and managed to videotape the UFO flight.

Judging by the location of the lights, we can assume that this is not a group of individual objects, but one, a very large UFO, but its hull is not visible, and only "on-board lights" are visible.

A UFO flew over the Golden Gate Bridge in the United States at great speed.

The drone accidentally removed the object during a trip to San Francisco.

After viewing some video footage taken from the drone during a trip to San Francisco in September this year, the drone owner came across an object moving across the Golden Gate Bridge at great speed, reports Esoreiter.

A video published on YouTube channel Doco Mister on November 14 shows two UFOs moving past the International Space Station (ISS) at great speed. At first, a spherical object appears, and behind it, a cylindrical object falls into the frame.

Flashback:
Feb 20, 2020

On December 8, 2020, the Starship prototype, serial number 8, was scheduled for a test launch from a site in Boca Chica, Texas, USA, but the launch was abruptly cancelled.

According to the official version, "1.3 seconds before liftoff, SpaceX automation canceled the launch due to a problem with the Raptor engine.

The company then said it postponed the launch for 24 hours and would likely try again tomorrow. As is already known, the rocket exploded during the retry to launch, which was made on December 9. Moreover, before the explosion a UFO was seen near the ship.

Now it turns out that the cancellation of the launch on December 8, was also due to the appearance of UFOs directly near the launch pad.

And the UFO was seen, even pointed a camera at him filming the launch pad and the prototype installed on it.

Apparently SpaceX did not appreciate the seriousness of what happened and the launch attempt the next day ended in disaster.

High-speed UFO sighting over Parker Dam, Arizona.
This drone video shows a high-speed UFO flying over the Parker Dam in Arizona on December 15, 2020.

The UFO was recorded on a drone-mounted camera - it was not visible to the eye, but was discovered later when viewing the video in slow motion.
