One could easily substitute "Sun Absolute" for "King of Kings" and "Ceaser" for "Jesus". For instance, the metaphors of "laying down his life" for me, of "taking my place" could all be metaphors of compassion, empathy, even pity.

Worthy is the lamb who was slain...penned in by barbarians and slaughtered like an animal.
