What are you listening to?

Hey, while we're on the topic of videogame music, here's one I've rediscovered recently. There are a few from this game I have a soft spot for, but this is the one that stands out to me. My only real issue with the lyrics is the phrase toward the end, "You gave to me a reason to believe." In the context of the story, I interpret it more like "a reason to go on", which would have been a good stand-in.

Hah, I feel kind of exposed posting it, but here you go:

Thanks for the discovery. In general, japanese are quite good in making video games music, specially for RolePlayGames. I play no more than very rarely but i'm still looking at some video game release not for playing but just for the soundtrack .

I am learning to spin, watching educational videos, etc. This little video has a wonderful song about the need to smile more. Hope you enjoy it and smile like I did.

If anyone likes modern-classical music i would like to share with you my respect for the Icelandic composer Olafur Arnalds, his music had helped me many, many times, especially in tough moments. I hope i'm not exaggerating here, but, his music has a soul of it's own or a part of the soul of the composer...

This is a live concert in 2010 in Beijing:

I'm callin' this the love crusade,
The truth is like a black bouquet,
Money's got us all enslaved,
The bullets and the bombs we make, Oh no,
It doesn't have to be this way,
But I promise it'll stay this way,
If you would rather hear me say,
That everything is all ok,

I don't care for your drugs, I don't care for your fame,
Do you care for the truth if you're not entertained?
I can see through your eyes, I can see through your pain,
And you're scared to admit you feel out of place,

Can you hear that darlin',
A revolution's callin',
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin',
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

I'm tellin' you the world looks perfect from a plane,
A couple miles up and we all look the same,
One love tryna show us the way,
One love that is tryin' to change,
And if we connect with that, then we should be enraged,
These fat cats want us lost in the maze,
And they're scared ‘cause we're breakin' the chain,
They're scared ‘cause we're ‘bout to escape,

Can you hear that darlin',
A revolution's callin',
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin',
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

There's a billion people,
That could use a hero,
Come together, we're the tether,
Of this love that's spinnin' round,
We could be that miracle,

{sweet guitar interlude...}

Can you hear that darlin',
A revolution's callin',
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin',
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

Really lovely - thanks for sharing. I've never really enjoyed 'proper classical' (though i don't claim to know anything about it) but i love stuff like this in the background, and i agree it can be very moving.

Yes, her music really can transport you to some 'other world' :)

That's funny, I've been on a Loreena Mckinnett kick as well. My favorite songs are All Souls Night and Mummer's Dance. I even got the urge to try and sing them and recorded myself doing it.
